Oakhollow took the initiative and decided to talk to Hollytuft. "'Ello, Hollytuft. We mean no harm, as this is what we consider our territory..." BirchClan must be somewhere nearby if they came, but considering that RippleClan was so new, it was probably not well known where their borders were. "We'd-." he poked the older tom on the side, a soft 'hey' and a jerk recieved back from the sleeker furred warrior. "H-how. .I mean, we'd love to become an ally of yours. We aren't fighters." I mean, he could, but her wouldn't.

Beetlestar and Slateslide decided to leave Oakhollow in the fox den, so that he could recover. The deputy insisted that he could hunt, but with no pieces of food, they needed to go out. A hunting patrol ensued.

Beetlestar's senses were clouded with worry for her deputy. It was nothing severe, sure, but having to confine a cat to camp was never a positive sign. Slateslide seemed to sense her emotions, and though he didn't say anything, the thin warrior brushed briefly against her side before striking out on his own; heading off into the underbrush that surrounded camp. Staring after him, the tortie leader smiled to herself. Maybe I'll have better luck by the water. She thought, letting her paws steer her towards the shore. They were still reluctant to cross the water with the weather so frigid, especially after Oakhollow fell ill. Water lapped at Beetlestar's paws, calling her attention back to the present. A massive shadow swirled in the water just beyond the shallows. Crouching, she waited until it circled around within her reach and leapt, diving into the water and grappling onto whatever her claws could reach. After getting tossed around like a ragdoll, her prey finally seemed to run out of energy enough for her to begin to drag the creature ashore.

Rockstar, glad to have the help of his knew warrior Sootfur, calls into the cave from his rock with an
Rockstar was still quite unsure about having the newest recuit of Howlingclan go to their borders to
find some stray rouges, but he trusted the young tom, Sootfur, to help him. Leaping down from his
den, he went to the other side of the cave where he knew the other slept. Nudging him awake, he
started with his orders. "Today, you will take over the border patrol, okay?" When Sootfur nodded,
Rockstar then called to the both of them. "Sheepflower, you and me will be off hunting while Sootfur
checks the borders. Let's be off!" He finished his announcement, collecting Sheepflower and going
off towards the entrance of the cave. "Good luck, Sootfur!" The she-cat called to the younger tom,
a smile on both of their faces.

"Oh, good. Will you be okay here for a while? I'm probably going to be out there for a long time so I can do a really thorough search."
"Yeah. Even if someone does attack, there's nothing worth stealing, so I can just run away and hide."
Graystar went out to check the borders, stopping often to scent-mark them and check to see if any other cats crossed. Once she was finally done she returned, seeing Willowstep with a very neat herb supply. Willowstep went out next, to search for herbs to add to their supply.

Pearlstar was a little taken aback. "You mean, you've been watching me? Huh, I didn't know that any other cat was so close!" she meowed with a little excitement.

The mysterious cat, approached her more, opening his jaw a little, then closing it. "You smell...odd. Like ocean water and fish." he drew back another breath, but then looked even more curious. "Say, can you...swim? It would explain the ocean-y scent, plus why you're not afraid to live on an island!" he pointed out.

Pearlstar meowed back with a purr, "Well, yes, I can swim. As a clan cat, apart of SandClan, many cats were taught at a young age how to swim. I could teach you, if you'd like?" she offered, eye's locked with the stranger.

"Ah, that would be nice! I've always seen the water from my old home. It was quite a distance away, but it was this really tall tower thing that could flash a really bright light, making you go blind for some seconds!" he explained, putting a lot of emphasis on how bright the light was. His face suddenly grew a little more focused. "But...that's not why I came over here. I had been watching you for a while now...not meaning to be creepy! I just was interested when I saw you fishing and hop on those rocks," he flicked his tail to the rocks where he was previously jumping across. "And I finally figured out what I wanted to do. If you would let me, I'd like to join you. I want to learn about clans, swimming, and hunting!" he urged on. "Your life looks a lot more interesting than anything I've ever seen, that's for sure!" he finished.

Pearlstar stared at him in shock for a while. He sure was something, he had quite a good spirit, was interested in the clan, and seemed interested in learning more about it. That settled it, an obvious decision coming to her mind. "I would love to have you as apart of my clan, all I ask is that you allow me to give you your warrior name, as well as rank. Once we return to the island, I'll explain more. Okay?" The cat nodded his head, mostly eager, but a little confused on the 'warrior name' part.

"Alright, than from this day forth, you shall be known as Pebbletrail, deputy of SandClan. I hope that StarClan may look down at my decision, and approve it, welcoming you to the warrior code with open paws." she touched her jaw to the top of his head, then backed away.

"Deputy? What does that mean, exactly?" he, newly called Pebbletrail asked.

"Well," Pearlstar began, "It means that you will help me make decision to better our clan, and we will work together to gain more members. However, it also means that when I die, you will be the one in charge, the new leader." she finished.

Pebbletrail's eyes grew wide, he drew out his sentence like a whisper of breath, "Thank you, I promise to do my best."

Pearlstar looked around, it was about sunhigh now, they should be heading ba-!

Pebbletrail's stomach growled. He looked embarrassed and began to lick his chest. "Hmm, I know I mentioned heading home, but the sun is still up, why not do some hunting? I could teach you some hunting techniques, and even fishing if we get enough time, what do you say?" Pearlstar asked her new deputy.

Pebbletrail nodded, smiling cheekily. Pearlstar purred a little too, as they began looking for food.

Herontuft had a faint scar from his tangle with the rats, but was otherwise fine. Of course, that didn't stop Cloud-dapple from constantly following him around and making sure he was okay. She was quick to jump on the patrol he was going on - she wanted to be there to protect him if something went wrong. As they left with the hunting patrol, she heard a keening wail. Not soon after, another joined it. Iceberry and Weaselthroat's kits! She moved to hurry back to camp, but Deerstep and Acornpounce returned from their patrol in time. "They'll want to be alone," Acornpounce insisted. "Go on your patrol." With a hesitant glance back at the nursery, she returned to the patrol.
"Dear StarClan, why?" Iceberry yowled as Deerstep nudged a thick stick towards her. She shoved it away, but he guided it back to her and she finally clamped her jaws around it. Weaselthroat wasn't as far along as Iceberry, but unfortunately, the two she-cats were kitting at the same time. Acornpounce was trying to focus on Weaselthroat while Deerstep focused on Iceberry. "It hurts," Weaselthroat hissed as the white-splashed tabby tom tried to comfort her. It stung, but he knew she was going through a lot of pain right now, so he didn't react.
Windpaw looked down hesitantly at the water. "I don't want to swim," he whispered to Pebblepaw. With a huff, she pushed him into the water. He yelped as he splashed into the cool water, but soon began his trek across the lake. Cloud-dapple had finished her patrol by then and was safely following him along the edge. When he was finished, Pebblepaw leaped in gracefully, followed closely by Heathershade. Doepaw and Stagpaw wanted to swim together, but Minnowleap and Scorchbreeze decided against it - they didn't want to risk one of them dragging the other down in case of complications. Doepaw, being the braver of the two, went first. When she finished, Stagpaw refused to be shown up, and swam as hard as he could to the edge. When all four had finally finished, they returned to camp, dripping wet. Troutstar was waiting for them when they returned. She had already planned their names: -skip for the she-cats and -leap for the toms. The ceremony would happen once Weaselthroat and Iceberry were done welcoming their kits into the world and everyone was ready.

Graystar decided to relax a little whilst patrolling the borders, which probably wasn't a good idea since one was supposed to keep an eye out for danger when patrolling, but everything had been relatively quiet the past few days. Oh well. As she closed her eyes for a brief moment, she allowed herself to open up to the world around her. The smell of blooming flowers, the wind ruffling through her fur, the strange rustling of nearby bushes, the- Wait, what? Shocked, Graystar fixated her gaze upon the brambles in front of her as she settled into a defense crouch and slowly grew closer. Pulling back the branches to reveal a pure white cat. Reflexively, they struck out at the stranger, scratching Graystar's cheek. "Oh my Starclan, oh my Starclan, oh my Starclan!" They repeated apologetically at the sight of blood dripping down the leader's face. "I'm so sorry, I thought you were a loner, I swear!".

The pretty medicine cat proudly returned to camp with a mouthful of wild garlic and fennel. After sorting her herbs correctly, she chewed a little wintergreen into a paste to apply to Graystar's wound and confidently told the leader that it would heal perfectly fine, saying that she should be thankful it wasn't that deep.

Soaringstar couldn't help but grin. He had finally found a place of his own, now he could start to build his clan. He'd been here for three days, marking borders and clearing ou a den for himself. It was a self-dug hole beneath the largest stump in the territory. He had come to really appreciate the old thing. Though it had been dead for a long time, he felt it was still alive, it supported mushrooms, flowers, lichen and mosses. Its roots were sprawling, and took up most of Blazeclan's pseudo "camp." He had decided to name it the Forever Tree, and it was where he had chosen to sleep.

Now it was time for him to meet with the ancestors. Soaringstar trotted towards the northern border, it was a long way to go to get to the moonpool. He hesitated at the border. He was already paranoid that others wouldn't respect the new scent markers. While he was gone it would be completely unprotected. Nonetheless, he had to go. So Soaringstar set off to have his word with Starclan. He mused on this as he traveled. I need company, I've never done well on my own. But more than that... I need someone I can count on, someone who will support and respect me, but will still let me know when I'm being stupid.

"They'll want to be alone," Acornpounce insisted. "Go on your patrol." With a hesitant glance back at the nursery, she returned to the patrol.
"Dear StarClan, why?" Iceberry yowled as Deerstep nudged a thick stick towards her. She shoved it away, but he guided it back to her and she finally clamped her jaws around it. Weaselthroat wasn't as far along as Iceberry, but unfortunately, the two she-cats were kitting at the same time. Acornpounce was trying to focus on Weaselthroat while Deerstep focused on Iceberry. "It hurts," Weaselthroat hissed as the white-splashed tabby tom tried to comfort her. It stung, but he knew she was going through a lot of pain right now, so he didn't react.
Windpaw looked down hesitantly at the water. "I don't want to swim," he whispered to Pebblepaw. With a huff, she pushed him into the water. He yelped as he splashed into the cool water, but soon began his trek across the lake. Cloud-dapple had finished her patrol by then and was safely following him along the edge. When he was finished, Pebblepaw leaped in gracefully, followed closely by Heathershade. Doepaw and Stagpaw wanted to swim together, but Minnowleap and Scorchbreeze decided against it - they didn't want to risk one of them dragging the other down in case of complications. Doepaw, being the braver of the two, went first. When she finished, Stagpaw refused to be shown up, and swam as hard as he could to the edge. When all four had finally finished, they returned to camp, dripping wet. Troutstar was waiting for them when they returned. She had already planned their names: -skip for the she-cats and -leap for the toms. The ceremony would happen once Weaselthroat and Iceberry were done welcoming their kits into the world and everyone was ready.

Deerstep and Acornpounce had been picking their way through the forest for herbs when they heard the howl of Iceberry. "They're kitting!" Acornpounce yelped, hastily snatching up the herbs they had already picked. They carefully picked their way over to the nursery, bounding in just in time.

Morninglight hummed happily as she trotted alongside her new clanmates. She heard a soft rustling of bushes, and feeling a bit adventerous, quietly slipped away from the group. She nudged aside the reeds, until she was greeted by a surprised young cat. "Oh! Greetings sir." They mewed with a polite nod, and Morninglight quirked an eyebrow. "I'm sorry, but I'm a she-" She cut herself off when she noticed a shadow looming over her. She turned to see Herontuft frowning down at the young cat. He hissed, "Morninglight, what are you thinking about, going off on your own?" He was interrupted by an even louder hiss, as his mate crawled up behind him. "Excuse me? You especially shouldn't be running off on your own!" Herontuft groaned quietly, his ears drooping. "It's long since been healed." Cloud-dapple growled, flicking her head back towards the patrol. "Come along now, let's get back to the patrol." Her expression softened as she noticed the small black cat, and she purred, "Would you like to come too?" The cat's eyes lit up, and they smiled softly at the warrior. "I would love to."

Iceberry's kitting had gone smoothly. All the kits were healthy and strong, already suckling at their mother's belly. Iceberry was even awake enough that she could raise her head to gaze lovingly down at her kits. She sighed, leaning down to lick their fur affectionately. Another pained yowl from Weaselthroat snapped her out of her moment, and she gulped in worry for friend.

It wasn't supposed to be that hard. The kitting was long and difficult, and Weaselthroat had passed out almost the moment it ended. At the current moment, her ears were pinned at the back of her head, her teeth clenched tightly, and her breaths shallow and unsteady. Iceberry watched in despair, watching the rise and fall of her friend's chest. The dream was coming back to her mind, and now she was just holding her breath and hoping for the best. The medicine cat spoke in hushed tones around the unconsious queen's body, and she longed to go and watch over her friend.

"Is she okay?!" Ryestem yowled, racing into the nursery. She shoved aside the medicine cats, and she hunched over her mate's still body. She felt tears well up in her eyes as her eyes flickered over Weaselthroat's body. "Oh Starclan, no no no no.." She suddenly saw the shallow rise and fall of her chest, and sighed in relief. "Oh, thank Starclan!" She quickly swung her head around to face the medicine cats, whispering desperately, "W-will they survive?" Acornpounce solemnly lower his head, and Deerstep started to explain. "It was very difficult for her and the kits. Weaselthroat will survive," His eyes briefly flicked over to the kits curled up by her belly. "But I'm afraid not all of the kits will." Ryestem mouth dropped open, and she uttered a few incomprehensible words. She wrinkled up her face and shoved it into Weaselthroat's fur, body shaking from quiet sobs.

Oakhollow didn't like being stuck in this world. Instead of celebrating his thirtieth moon, he was stuck in this hellhole of a den. It reeked of stale fox-dung and Beetlestar- she never came inside, because she was too busy hunting. Resperation grew harder each moment. He wasn't going to die from a cold, of course, but it was hard not being able to help in his condition. Slateslide would come in a few times to assist him (giving him a lil' slip of "poultice" he made from chomping down herbs he "identified"- in fact, Oakhollow almost died choking on a rock.) Slateslide isn't the best medicine cat there is.. because he's a warrior. Oakhollow closed his eyes. "Darn- tarnation, Ahm' dead already." he rolled over in dismay.

Beetlestar and Slateslide were sitting together, just outside of the den that Oakhollow rested in. After moons with a coquettish relationship going strong, the latter warrior felt as if he wanted to see something further between them. "Beetlestar, I think.." Slateslide blushed, as if he was making up his mind. The older she-cat felt suddenly uncomfortable.. He was going to say something sappy, for sure. "Slateslide, shouldn't we end it here?" "What?" "We should. I'm going off to the Moonpool, now." "Wh-"

She knew this wouldn't work! Why would anyone think it would work? They were destined to remain as warrior and leader, nothing else. She was furious. Beetlestar knew, that if she were to initiate anything in this time.. it would ruin the Clan. If Slateslide wanted romance, then Beetlestar would have to give up chasing after him and give him to another she-cat. StarClan could grant her a female warrior and then it would be over. Then again, what if that she-cat didn't like.. well, whatever. Does it matter? More Clanmates the better! Beetlestar walked over to the pool, a new face appearing on the other side. "I wish.. I wish for some guidance, StarClan. I want to recieve a warrior." She dipped her face into the pool, letting the coolness evaporate her warmth. A sharp pain rushed through her skull.

RippleClan is the successing Clan to a MistClan, which ended shortly after their latest leader's death; Heatherstar, who was supposedly left MistClan in favor of a loner life, unable to cope with the betryal she felt after discovering one of her members being a killer- and while the details are unknown, it is said this cat had been the one that had kept previous generations from recieving nine lives, (since their previous leader had been the murderer). The ruins of MistClan decided to clear themselves of their past problems and shedded their name, becoming RippleClan and inhabiting an old island. There is a stone on the highest point of the island that is marked with an odd sign, resembling many flowers that seem intertwined with eachother; a huge circle? Medicine cats have tried to decipher what this message had meant, but they were never able to figure it out. Prey that can be found in RippleClan's territory - minnows, small fish, frogs, big fish (uncommon), ermine, water fowl. As for the first roots of RippleClan, it is said MistClan descended from the neo-Moon/LeafClan that was created as an temporary-turned-permanent alliance between the two sister Clans in battle against neo-DarkClan and neo-FlameClan. Even before this, history is barely known, but some rumors say that there were 'WillowClan', 'MarshClan', 'WinterClan' and 'PondClan'. Truth be told, no live cat knows what happened even before this, and many consider to to be the age of the first Dark-Flame-Moon-LeafClan eras, since any records of the previous Clans seem to depict them as being reborn. RippleClan's first leader, Ripplestar, is Beetlestar's grandmother. 'RippleClan' was now re-founded, but unchanged.

RippleClan traditions include- when a kit is first apprentice, their mentor will throw them into the waters to get them used to the currents(unlike their peaceful reputation, this is something to help them cope with the island's long, surrounding lake). There are very rarely any deaths, which only happens if the apprentice somehow manages to drown under supervision. RippleClanners must be strong swimmers, so that there will be less drownings. The entire camp is on a small island, therefore every cat needs the skills to paddle through the waters, or else they will never be able to travel or hunt. They have strict laws of not killing other cats- even ones in enemy Clans. They hunt prey that are sick or old, never the young, plump ones, unless they have no other choice. They respect nature and try to recycle all bedding. They have great love for their elders and any senior members, being treated with respect for their actions. Leaders of RippleClan must live in the greatest Waterfall, which connects the island's river to a large cliff, for three moons. However, since Beetlestar is the re-founding leader, and there is nobody else beforehand, she wishes to perform this after RippleClan gets a stronger foundation. All cats of RippleClan are taught how to save drowning cats and herbs to treat various common diseases. RippleClanners also do not follow traditional name rules and prefer individuality and deeper meaning. RippleClanners also only fight for honor and are very unlikely to cause disputes. They do not wish to make enemies unless they are ruthless and unlawful, which they will do anything to stop. Justice is a big part of this Clan. The need of a good healer in this Clan where you're isolated on a tiny island surrounded by a river with no immediate herbal access unless you swim, is huge. Therefore, medicine cats are treated with lots of respect. While not always, there can be two adult medicine cats at a time.

The story so far; Beetlestar has 're'-founded RippleClan on a destined island. She has found two cats, Slateslide, her first warrior, and Oakhollow, her deputy. The three of them have decided to expand their territory and discover nearby Clans. Slateslide and Oakhollow have gone out for materials and prey, the deputy getting sick and them making alliances with BirchClan.
