"You can come in now," Cloudpool beckoned Pigeonflight into the nursery, stepping aside as the tom slipped past. "Congratulations!" He told the grey and white tom before heading towards the medicine den. Dappleleaf fell into step beside him. "How's Mottledshade?" The tortoiseshell asked. "She's fine. She delivered two kits. A tom and a she-kit." Cloudpool told her. Their gazes locked for a second before he looked away. A few days ago, he'd been watching her talking with Chiveclaw. They'd been close, but he'd never realized how much deeper his feelings for her went. And how seeing her laugh at something Chiveclaw had said awoke a strange feeling inside him. An irrational spark of jealousy. Cloudpool hadn't mentioned it to her and when he realized his love for her, he'd started avoiding her. This wasn't something that could go on. Cloudpool wasn't sure if she felt the same way, but he doubted it. She'd had a little crush on Chiveclaw. She'd told him about it. "Are you mad at me? You've been avoiding me lately." Dappleleaf blinked anxiously at him. "No!" Cloudpool looked over at her. "Then what's wrong?" Dappleleaf asked him. "N-nothing's wrong. Do you want to help me search for herbs?" Dappleleaf still looked concerned but she nodded. "Sure."

Pigeonflight entered the nursery just as Cloudpool left. "Congratulations, you have two beautiful kits." Shadedleaf told him. "I'll leave you now." She left the nursery, going to the medicine den. "We have a son and a daughter." Mottledshade told him. Pigeonflight looked down at his kits, his gaze softening. "They're tiny," Tigerkit piped up, scrambling out of his nest and over to Mottledshade's. "Don't be rude! They can't help being so small!" Willowkit followed him, sending her brother a scolding glance. "Leave them alone kits," Enonywing frowned at her kits. "Mottledshade's tired." Mottledshade shook her head. "No, it's alright Ebonywing." She assured the queen. "They might be tiny now, but they'll grow into big warriors. Just like you two." Mottledshade told Tigerkit and Willowkit. "What are you going to name them?" Willowkit asked. Mottledshade looked at Pigeonflight thoughtfully. "Stormkit for the tom?" She suggested. Pigeonflight nodded, his gaze glued to the kits. "And Poppykit for the she-kit." He added. "That's perfect." Mottledshade agreed. "Poppykit and Stormkit." As the two gazed down at their kits, Ebonywing led her kits outside the den, allowing the pair to be alone.

awoke. "You'll be hunting, we need some food before we starve." He joked lightly, but knew that it would
be a huge danger to not have food around. "I'll be going on a border patrol to scout out some more young
blood to bring into the clan." Sootfur nodded to his new leader, smiling. "Of course, right away!" He said,
the two dashing off to their own duties.

Frostpaw poked her head into the nursery. Immediately, Daisykit, who idolized the apprentice, noticed her appearance and bounced over to her. "Frostpaw!" Then her siblings came bounding over as well to greet the older she-cat. "Frostpaw, can you teach us some battle techniques?" Foxkit begged. Frostpaw considered whether or not to show them some simple moves, but a look of uneasiness from Honeydapple told her she should decline. "Sorry, I think you're a bit too young for that.... Don't worry, you'll be apprentices soon enough," she smiled. Sulking, Foxkit wandered off with a few grumbles of disappointment, but Birchkit was relieved that he wouldn't be teased by his brother for his unusually poor playfighting skills. "Frostpaw? You in here?" Ashenclaw called, stepping into the nursery. "Ah, hello there, everyone. Frostpaw, I believe we should be catching up on some of your training. Let's go."

Emberstar and Webfang left the camp soon after Ashenclaw and his apprentice. After a few fox-lengths of walking, the leader spoke, "Why don't we have a friendly competition?" she smiled. "I've been thinking about mentors for Honeydapple's kits since they're growing up so quickly. The first to catch something gets to mentor a kit of their choice. How does that sound?" Webfang chuckled, "Oh, it's on." "Alright, once you've caught something, head back here."

Deerstep and Acornpounce had left Cloud-dapple to watch Herontuft. They knew that the she-cat would not let him do anything mousebrained. They had searched for a replacement for the herbs they used, and luckily found a good amount of cobwebs, but no burdock had been found yet. Acornpounce had come across a hollow log, filled with bees and oozing honey. "Hey, Deerstep." He mewed, pointing a claw towards the buzzing bees. Deerstep quirked an eyebrow, not sure if it was quite worth the risk. Acornpounce however, was determined. He leapt to the log, dipping a paw in and drawing out the stick honey. He yelped as a bee stung him on the back, and fled the scene. Deerstep dove into the bushes nearby, watching as he ran past. He eventually returned, whimpering loudly. "I'm okay!" He assured with a chuckle.
[Deerstep and Acornpounce find Cobwebs, Lungwort, and Honey.]

Next Moonstone Visit: 2/22/16

Pearlstar awoke in her nest, yawning and shifting around. Pausing, she quickly got up. Today was the day, the day that she would finally look for more clan members. It had been too long since she was around any other cats, too long since she had the need to speak out loud to other cats. She shook some loose moss from her leg, groomed some of her chest fur, then padded out of her den.

Truly was a beautiful island that the camp was on, lots of nice rocks to lay in the sun, also some palm trees for shade. The only thing she could really complain about was the sand under her paws that could feel like lava when the sun was warm enough. She needed cats who could handle all of this, the hot sand, leaping from island to island. A sudden idea passed her mind. Oh StarClan! If you can hear me, please help me find either a cat for deputy or the rank of a scavenger. I need someone to run my clan and help me make decisions, or at least some cat that can journey on the small islands smoothly and nimble.

Ending her little prayer, she headed off to the smaller islands that led her to the main land, the best place to find cats. As soon as she hopped off of the island and to the first small rock, she remembered all of the other times she had done this. Honestly, no doubt about it that she would be a island protector if it weren't for her leader rank. She could barely find the right footing on these rocks, and even though she could swim, it would for sure set her back if she fell.

As she finally fell in to some sort of pattern, hopping and scrambling from one stone to the next, she eventually got to the main lands. Here, is where she began her journey to find new clan members.

Despite being a tad young, Aspenpaw knew he was fully prepared for his final assessment to come and couldn't help but daydream of what his flower might look like. Currently, there was only one other warrior out on a quest and the apprentice silently wondered if he would be able to meet her before he left or if she would still be searching. A loud commotion coming from the nursery disturbed his thoughts and the young male flicked his ears in irritation, wondering if they could get any louder. "Aspenpaw!" A voice called urgently, paw steps hurriedly approaching him. "What is-" "Lizardstream and Barleystorm are kitting! Come on, we have to find Raspberry Leaves, although Chervil would also work." After a brief description of the two herbs, Waspfur practically dragged the reluctant apprentice out of camp, who would much rather sunbathe than go looking for herbs he didn't even know.

(I know this is really short but I've been bedridden and haven't been able to get around to this, sorry.)

My clan is called MistClan. Their territory is in an evergreen forest. The forest is very densely packed with trees, making the forest very dark. A creek slices through the edges of the territory, providing a permanent source of drinking water. MistClan cats have long thick fur to keep out the cold from the lack of sunlight in the forest. Their fur is usually shades of black or gray. They hunt mice and other small rodents, lizards, and the occasional fish from the creek.

MistClan cats are very down-to-earth and laid-back. They are very lazy and sleep a lot. They hate fighting and would just rather be peace. MistClan cats are friendly, although they daydream a lot and don't pay attention to most things.

Goldenpelt lapped at her two kits, curled up in the nursery with the sounds of Tumblenight and Mistshade's soft snores the only noise. Smokeykit snuggled into his mother's thick golden fur to gather warmth, but Asphodelkit stayed put. Something felt.. off. Goldenpelt nudged her daughter. "Asphodelkit? Come closer to me," she murmured, although her voice began to rise. "Asphodelkit?" The small shekit coughed once, which was echoed by her brother. Panic seized Goldenpelt's chest. "Dawnglow, Rabbitwish!" She shrieked, causing the two to race into the nursery. Dawnglow picked up Asphodelkit, while Rabbitwish checked Smokeykit. "Smokeykit's ok, just a mild cough. He should take some honey and a bit of tansy." Rabbitwish mewed hurriedly, glancing nervously at his mentor. Dawnglow's expression was grim as she observed Asphodelkit's glassy gaze. "She has kittencough, bad, Goldenpelt. I.. I'll do my best, but..." She looked away; it was apparent what she was about to say. "We must prepare for Witherclan's first loss." Goldenpelt took in a shaky breath, letting out a loud heartwrenching wail. It was all.. so fast. She had birthed the two kits, and was half dragged, half carried back to camp, and curled into the nursery. Now, not a week later, her only daughter was close to death. Goldenpelt screeched again, tearing at her nest with curled claws.

That was half a moon ago. Smokeykit had gotten worse, but soon recovered and began to speak. He was a curious little thing, but his voice was still rough from his recent illness. Goldenpelt tried to keep him out of the den, playing with Eaglekit and Keykit and away from his sister. Asphodelkit was moved to the medicine den with Goldenpelt so that Dawnglow could keep an eye on her at all times. But the herbs weren't working, and Asphodelkit's labored breathing stabbed Goldenpelt each time she heard her daughter take in air. Tiny coughs wracked the kit's body, and she couldn't keep her milk down. The queen had refused to speak to anyone except Dawnglow and Hawthorne, already going into greiving for the daughter that was still alive. Smokeykit had been all but forgotten; Goldenpelt spent all her time with her daughter. But it wasn't working.

Ravenpaw limped into camp, the pigeon clamped in his jaws. He threw it to the ground, and howled at the Highstump. "Fadedstar! Come out! I've completed your stupid assessment, now make me a warrior like you did the others!" Pale ears poked out of the den beneath the Highstump, followed by tired blue eyes. Fadedstar looks genuinely upset. "Ravenpaw, you know I can't," he croaked. "You haven't completed your training. I'm sorry." Ravenpaw's eyes narrowed, a growl escaping his jaws.

Fadedstar turned to go back into his den and finish his nap. With a screech of anger, Ravenpaw charged at the leader, claws unsheathed. However, he could not run with his leg mangled, and stumbled, and fell. Now his screeches were of pain, and Smoothpaw rushed out of her den with panic in her gaze. "Ravenpaw! Stop this! You'll hurt yourself more!" The black tom fixed his stare on his aunt, blazing blue. "Never! Not until I get what I deserve!" Smoothpaw felt her heart sink as she watched her nephew writhe on the ground. She closed her eyes, heading into the medicine den and collecting up a pawful of poppyseeds. Padding back over to Ravenpaw, Smoothpaw placed a paw over his nose, forcing him to open his jaws. Somehow, she maneuvered around his flailing paws, dropping the seeds into his mouth. Ravenpaw swallowed, and his eyes began to droop. "I'm sorry, Ravenpaw. It's for your own good." Minkslide padded over and helped Smoothpaw bring the unconscious apprentice back into the medicine den. And the look of sorrow never left Smoothpaw's gaze.

The clan ate 2 crows and 1 squirrel.
