BubbleClan

BubbleClan is a laid-back and preppy clan that runs on a bit of a democracy- the leader leads for life, but the Deputy is elected every six months by the clan, and there may be an emergency if the deputy dies or has a litter of kittens.

Their terminology is pretty odd, possibly due to their housecat roots. They know exactly what the word "democracy" is, as they are one. Female cats are called Mollies (queens if they're pregnant or nursing), they tend to measure things by meters, and they refer to the seasons by their human names. Every time a cat dies from anything besides old age, the clan gets extremely jittery. Funerals are held at dusk and involve covering the deceased cat in leaves and burying them next to a tree. Their loved ones sleep next to the same tree that night, usually their best friends and family.

The clan is in fact a common source of humor at times.

inhabitants of the jungle, warriors of the rainforest.
they roam the tropic quarters of the lands, claiming
the lush forestry and dense shrubbery there own
with great pride. they are worshippers of ancient
cats that had once founded a group similar to a clan.
those cats, are panthers. those leopards now walk
amongst the night sky, littering the sky with their
star-filled pelts.

★ personality.
these cats aren't the common friendly clan. they
aren't very social and tend to remain in the jungle,
even visits to gatherings aren't exactly common.
they speak a strange way from the view of strangers,
with their exotic voices and rippling muscles they
can impose a threat on others. they aren't very
bratty or overly-prideful, in fact it is rare that
they share much about their clan. they are mysterious
and reclusive, deadly intelligence lacing their
gaze and power exuding from each stride. the
pantherclan members are often very calm, their
rude comments often quite sly and cunning. they
will fight when necessary, and fight ruthlessly without
a care of keeping their opponent breathing by the
end of the match.

★ religion.
being greeted by the great z'jhai (the panthers) is
either a sign of great blessing or great urgency. z'jhai
are the bringers of omens, prophecies and good
fortune, only visiting the clan when absolutely
needed. even when the emperor or empress
requests a cat, they are rare to receive more than a
feeble purr in the wind as sign that the z'jhai are
with them. the z'jhai also are the ones who bring
dying cats to starclan.

pantherclan cats are recognized for their adaption
to the jungle. these cats are often seen jumping
from tree to tree fearlessly whether it be chasing
off predators or hunting down prey. they are avid
swimmers too, able to dive down into the water
for long periods of time. they also enjoy battling
eachother and sparring to push themselves to
become even better. each spring they have a
whole moon full of hunting ceremonies and
then in the summer they have a full moon of
fighting ceremonies and practices.

★ appearance.
these rainforest cats have no obligation to coat
colour or length, though some are more praised
than others. Cats with rosettes are common &
are favoured in the clan because it is similar to
the leopards that once roamed. Cats are often
long-legged and agile, like orientals, per say.
Longer coats are more of a pain for the cats,
though there has been some longhaired warriors.
Silvers, greys and black coats are also favoured.

★ location.
the pantherclan cats live in the jungle. a place
which is undoubtedly dangerous, with predators
at each corner and ready to snatch the next kit
that hangs back. & for this reason, the cats live
in the trees. well, most of them. the camp is
located close to a river, but it is pretty
rocky and has a few caves that some cats go into
to sleep. other cats sleep on the trees that are
right next to these dens, watching over the
ground level cats as they stand ground. there
is also the waterfall, fishing grounds and
moonpool.

Elmpaw hadn't stopped grouching about yesterday, dragging her paws and huffing at anyone who drew near. ''We should've been apprentices!'' The tabby complained, stomping a paw angrily on the ground. ''We're totally ready!'' Elmpaw sighed exasperatedly, her whinging like the whine of a hornet. ''Oh, be quiet.'' sighed Lilypaw, burying her ears under her snow-white paws. ''Your voice is really annoying.'' Her green eyes flashed irritably. ''Deal with it, you don't always get what you want.''

Bristling, Elmpaw shot back a stingily hot retort. ''Your face is really annoying!'' The striped molly leapt to her paws and huffily strutted out of the den, sulking past a snoozing Fallowthorn and a humming Rookwing. ''I'll talk to her.'' Beechpaw mumbled, ducking apologetically and bundling himself after Elmpaw. For a while, silence buzzed in the apprentice's den and then Lilypaw spoke up. ''Wow, that was rude.'' The molly whispered, leaf-green eyes flickering around the den. ''How do you stand her?'' She inquired Hazelpaw, screwing her face up in disbelief. ''I certainly wouldn't be able to!''

''She's my sister.'' The blind apprentice shot back, flicking one large ear. ''She gets grumpy, I deal with it.'' Hazelpaw sighed, narrowing his eyes thoughtfully. ''Elmpaw just wants to make mom proud, ever since our dad died...'' The skinny tom trailed off and looked around in his darkness. ''It's not a pleasant topic, anyone got anything to say?'' Hazelpaw pinpointed Vervainpaw by smell. ''What about you? You always have something to say.''

The good-looking tom scoffed, turning away from the scarred apprentice. ''Again with the accusations.'' Vervainpaw sighed dramatically, turning pointedly away from Hazelpaw. ''I don't really feel like talking, and besides...'' With a snarky look thrust towards Goosepaw, he sauntered out of the den. ''...I've got somewhere to be.'' He called over his shoulder, with Lilypaw following not long after, with a quiet mumble of 'me too'.

''I...wasn't accusing you of anything.'' Hazelpaw murmured confusedly, turning to the remaining two. While he suspected the pair were very kind souls, Hazelpaw wasn't going to make any assumptions before he properly met the pair. ''How are you?'' Hazelpaw quietly asked, ghost-white eyes travelling to where he thought they were; nowhere close. ''I hope that didn't rattle you.''

Sparrowpaw smiled and shook his head. ''Not at all.'' The brown tom glanced quietly at the mouth of the den, wondering how Beechpaw was getting on with the task of soothing Elmpaw's temper. ''I'm fine, used to big mouths.'' Sparrowpaw added, feeling as though the conversation was like a sluggish river at this point; there was nothing he could say to rile it up again. ''Normally, I rattle others.'' Goosepaw interjected, whiskers twitching with self-mocking laughter. ''So uh, I'm actually flattered you'd think I'd get rattled.'' She glanced at Sparrowpaw, ignoring his concerned look. The tom didn't get it, the mockery wasn't intended to dig any thorns into her but rather make the thorns of others more bearable. ''But, no...I'm okay.'' Goosepaw smiled politely. ''Sorry, I think our mentors are calling us.'' And finally, the pair got up and left, leaving Hazelpaw alone with his thoughts.

What a wacky bunch.

"Look," Ormani raised his muzzle towards the small cave, a slight tinge of a stale smell that lingered in the air as the cats scrunched up their noses in a reflex.
"Something must've been here." Zak started, but was cut away by his sister,
"Something has been here. In fact, it reeks of a badger." Orvi'lo snarked in disgust.

Approaching the cave cautiously, Rivi lowered her muzzle to the ground, her yellow eyes fixed on the dark entrance in case anything had decided to catch her by surprise. Stopping just a few tails away, her tail sweeping side to side, she retreated.
"It looks abandoned."
"Probably not. The scent is still pretty strong around here." Zak said warily, his eyes flicking from around him.

"Zak's got a point. I think it's time we headed back."

-Now-

Piling all the herbs that she had gathered for the day, Aspen quickly wrapped bits of different herbs into them and bound them together with vines as she heard a sound approaching her cave, turning around, she saw Maia at the entrance.
"H-hey!" She called out, walking towards the queen as her kit dangled from her jaws, putting Ewan down on the ground as he mewed.
"I thought I'd pay you a visit, doing nothing but sleeping in my den had gotten too boring for me. Say, anything you need help with?" Maia chirped happily, looking behind the Shaman at the pile of leaves and herbs.
"I dare not, Olakey'ta might punish me if he knew I let you help me." She hung her head low to the ground, giving a small lick to the kit.
"Not if he will ever know." Maia winked, taking Ewan in her jaws as she padded into the Shaman's den.

"who's the father?" duskflower looked up from washing her paws to see the new queen, sunnywhisker, smiling down at her. the molly flicked her ears, and duskflower followed the gesture to where patchpaw was speaking excitedly to cyanslash. the young tom seemed encouraging, and when he cuffed her ear, the clan's only apprentice jumped to her paws and chased after him in retaliation. from across the clearing, the pair of mollies couldn't hear what the younger members of the clan were saying, but sunnywhisker's amused purr was contagious when the queen sat down. together, for a moment, they watched cyanslash look over his shoulder and bowl directly into falconflight. patchpaw's laugh echoed the clearing at the base of the dens, and redstar's ginger pelt was visible high above, at the crest of the caverns.
it was only when sunnywhisker spoke again that duskflower remembered her initial question. "is it blizzardrush or redstar?" she asked, only for duskflower to let out her own purr.
"he was a rouge, got hit by a twoleg monster before patchpaw was born." she thought of everything that had happened since. how she thought she was going to join starclan with her newborn kit after jace had been killed. for a moment, she closed her eyes and blocked out the increasingly familiar and warm sights of the camp around her. when she opened her eyes again, sunnywhisker's gaze was soft and sympathetic.
the queen nuzzled duskflower's shoulder gently. "my mate left me. he was a stuck up kittypet, said he was done with dirty loners after a new molly moved in next door. a pretty silver tabby nonetheless." duskflower couldn't help but look at sunnywhisker's patchy fur, the way it stuck out in strange ways. she could only imagine what it had felt like, her mate leaving for a kitty with a sleeker pelt and a plump belly. it seemed a miracle that sunnywhisker had been allowed into the clan. from the outset, redstar seemed assured that they would only accept the strong cats into their clan, and sunnywhisker was small and looked half-starved. whatever it was, perhaps their leader noticed something special in her. or pitied the soon to be queen. or just wanted to the kits to feed the lifeblood of the clan.

the trikru are descendants of the woods, and spend most of their times in trees following a strict hierarchy. they have skillsets that are heavily required; any cat without the natural abiltity to climb in trees virtually unnoticed or to be invisible on the ground are considered lowly and called frikdreina; or wastelanders.

the hierarchy:
coalition commander - commander; also called heda.
nightbloods - unique traits - usually the healer. sent to talk the mountain kin.

warriors - general war fighters.
sentries - guards to higher ranks{commander, nightblood, ambassador}.

close to the heavy forest is a lake that is said by its inhabitants to read the soul and reveal the future. by crossing the lake you can reach the mountains, where trikru's mountain kin reign. to other clans they are known as starclan- but the trikru are especially fearful of their kin and consider them to be all powerful and all knowing- an omni power the can't control or defeat.

for every kill a cat makes, a scar is added to their shoulder. it is a way of showing seniority and rank. there is a great oak where all of the marks of all kills combined are tallied.
it is also apart of their culture that if a cat has committed a serious crime, violently breaking the law of the trikru, each member of the clan takes turns inflicting a wound.
disloyalty is not tolerated and considered the most wretched of crimes.

clan law:
i. no trikru may harm another trikru.
ii. the heda's word is the law.
iii. a soft life is rejected.
iv. cats are fed by rank.
v. nightbloods may not heal outside of the trikru.
vi. intruders are killed, unless they impress the heda.
vii. a battle is not won without death.
viii. relationships and friendships outside of the trikru are forbidden.
ix. the commander's second is above a nightblood.
x. the entire clan sits vigil a day for a fallen clanmate.

feeble purr in the wind as sign that the z'jhai are
with them. the z'jhai also are the ones who bring
dying cats to starclan.
pantherclan cats are recognized for their adaption
to the jungle. these cats are often seen jumping
from tree to tree fearlessly whether it be chasing
off predators or hunting down prey. they are avid
swimmers too, able to dive down into the water
for long periods of time. they also enjoy battling
eachother and sparring to push themselves to
become even better. each spring they have a
whole moon full of hunting ceremonies and
then in the summer they have a full moon of
fighting ceremonies and practices.

★ appearance.
these rainforest cats have no obligation to coat
colour or length, though some are more praised
than others. Cats with rosettes are common &
are favoured in the clan because it is similar to
the leopards that once roamed. Cats are often
long-legged and agile, like orientals, per say.
Longer coats are more of a pain for the cats,
though there has been some longhaired warriors.
Silvers, greys and black coats are also favoured.

★ location.
the pantherclan cats live in the jungle. a place
which is undoubtedly dangerous, with predators
at each corner and ready to snatch the next kit
that hangs back. & for this reason, the cats live
in the trees. well, most of them. the camp is
located close to a river, but it is pretty
rocky and has a few caves that some cats go into
to sleep. other cats sleep on the trees that are
right next to these dens, watching over the
ground level cats as they stand ground. there
is also the waterfall, fishing grounds and
moonpool.
