3/10 If they aren't well acquainted with places on the internet that would have the symbol, then it makes sense that they wouldn't understand. If you are too uncomfortable to say it outright, try instead to answer honestly when they ask things like, "When will you be dating?" You don't have to use the word asexual if you think it will cause problems you don't want to handle. You can instead say you are not interested in dating/marriage (if that's true) and care more about whatever your life passions are. This is coming from an asexual. Good luck!
