Stonefall's body was eventually found at the river, and only Nightpaw noticed
Aphidstar's look of horror and...regret. An interesting observation, as the
leader had declared himself innocent multiple times. Could it be that he had
been lying to the clan the entire time?

"Aphidstar," said Nightpaw quietly, "I think that you're the killer."

The clan was shocked. An apprentice accusing their leader of being the killer?
But finally, the dam broke and a torrent of accusations flew at both Firefeather
and Aphidstar, with cats shouting their beliefs so loud that a Thunderclan patrol
on the far side of the river stopped to listen. Finally, Firefeather yelled at the
clan to quiet down.

"Aphidstar," he said, ignoring the hostile looks directed towards him. "Is Nightpaw
correct?"

The leader looked at his deputy and his head fell with shame. "It's true," he
muttered. "It's true." But this time, his words were a snarl. He bunched himself
and sprang towards Firefeather, but Blastclaws, Batfang, and Nightpaw held him
down. "You're all disappointments," Aphidstar hissed. "None of you followed my
rules. None of you are as good as I am in anything. You deserve to die!"

Firefeather stood proud and tall. "Aphidstar, I exile you from Riverclan. If our
patrols find you near the territory, they have my full permission to kill you on
sight. Now go."

The two warriors and apprentice let up the former leader, who gave a
half-hearted his and bounded away, disappearing from sight rather quickly. The
clan sighed with relief, knowing that they had finally exiled their killer. While
the damage couldn't be repaired quickly, time would pass and their descendants
could live in a more peaceful world.

Nightpaw and Lilacpaw gained their warrior names of Nightclaw and Lilacfur, while
Windsong's three surviving kits became apprentices. Shiverpaw was to study under
Lilacfoot and become a medicine cat, something both mentor and apprentice were
excited about. The next time a patrol spotted Maplepetal along the borders, she
was invited back into the clan and she replaced Batfang as the deputy. Batfang
claimed to be happy to return to the role of a warrior, as he felt that his mother was
wiser and more experienced. Aphidstar was never seen again, although rumors had
it that the loners and rogues near the houses had become a more organized group
and that some of the kittypets had named it a "clan." That was a problem for another
day, though. For now, there was peace.

You have finally exiled the killer, Riverclan! Now rest and rebuild.

Short Description → His pelt is a blue-gray with black stripes, mostly on his tail and hind legs. Bright blue eyes tend to betray his true thoughts and his overly sharp teeth are a sight to behold. He is lanky and quick, always thinking out a plan before acting on it.
