I wanted something cool sounding, I chose vermilion because it's one of my favorite colors and it sounds cool, and I chose ink because I like to work with that medium.

Hardcovers are nice, but they're not worth the extra expense and they're always weird different sizes (are you trying to mess up my shelves?) so I almost always buy paperbacks and just take extra good care of the spines ;~;
