Thank you for accepting me last round, it was really exciting, glad i wasn't killed or exiled. XD I hope to join another in the future!
( I would have joined this round, but I was busy live streaming the Olympic Games. XD )

Skystep padded out and into the sunlight. She yawned and
smiled as she passed Silverwing and Ashstar, they were probably
discussing who was going to the gathering tonight. The leader
smiled back as Silverwing padded up to her. "Eat up. You're
going to lead a patrol." Skystep nodded and happily padded
over to the prey pile. She picked up a squirrel carefully.

Skystep moved away from the clan, and decided to eat
in the forest. It was peaceful. The birds chirped happily
above her and she couldn't help but be even more happy.
Great day,enough prey, leading a patrol. Nothing could
ruin today, at least that's what she thought. The birds
silenced when the she-cat took her first bite.

Skystep instantly spit it out, backing up. She started
to panic as she flipped the squirrel over. Red berries
were hidden withen the squirrel and sbe saw them as
they started to spill out onto the ground. Her stare
turned to a cat staning in front of her. "It... It was...
You..." Skystep spat, hissing and tilting from side
to side. She fell down, looking up at the cat.

The murderer smirked. "How did you not see?"
They quickly ended the cat with a quick blow
before disappearing into the day.

Ashstar padded out of camp, she needed to clear her head. She had only recently been made leader and she wasn't quite used to all of the stress yet. Time on her own was quite warranted, perhaps she would hunt and bring back prey for her clan? She wasn't far out of camp when she caught a glimpse of Skysteps pelt through the trees. Deciding to speak to the warrior she walked over. As she approached she realised with horror that she was bleeding heavily, not moving. She let out a yowl and ran over to the she-cats body in pure desperation and fear for her clan. What happened, and who did this?

smallfern was eating a mouse quietly when he heard a yowl that was distinctly ashstar's. immediately, he leaped to his paws and padded quickly out of camp, following the sound. the calico tom raced through the brush, then caught sight of ashstar's grey pelt and... blood. his heart sinking, he walked further until he was by ashstar's side. he now knew whose blood it was: skystep's. filled with despair and sorrow, smallfern looked down at the calico's body. "i can help carry her back to camp to be buried," he quietly offered, turning to ashstar.

Silverwing heard Ashstars yowl. Confused, she followed the leaders scent. And that's when she saw it. Her eyes were wide. What happened? Was she dead? "What happened?" She choked out to Ashstar. She was lost for words.

Hazelmist was sprawled out towards the edge of the camp, letting the sun warm her fur. She had nothing to worry about, and the only thing on her mind was whether or not she would get to go to the gathering. The young she-cat purred quietly before being abruptly silenced when a yowl echoed through the trees. She had caught sight of Ashstar leaving the camp, perhaps she was in trouble? Full of determination to help her clan leader, Hazelmist sprung up and ran out of the camp, following Ashstar''s scent until she came across the she-cat and...Skystep? "Skystep?.." she mumbled, a look of horror on her face as she saw the warrior's pelt coated with crimson blood.

As her classes gathered around her she steeled herself, she was their leader and she had to be strong for them. She turned to Smallfern, "Yes, please. Hazelmist you too. I don't know what happened here but I am determined to find out." She said before propping up one side of Skysteps body with her own.

smallfern nodded and bowed his head, hoisting up skystep's body partially on his back. he looked over at ashstar and murmured, "what if this was murder? we need to find out who did it and exile them.."
