Icesplash hissed as soon as she heard the news. "Goodness gracious! A kit? You've got to be kidding me. " Kit's were her only hope these days, starclan knows the rest of the clan seemed corrupted. But kits? They were pure innocence, the hope for the clan. The one thing she refused to do with them is play with them, her body wasn't built for that.

Turning as Icesplash hissed, Jadefeather bowed her head. "Yes, I can't believe it either..you'd think they could stoop no lower." Quietly, she meowed, "For all Silvermist's apparent faults, she wasn't the murderer. They still walk among us."

Shadefeather's head raised, as she stood up, and rushed out, hearing the urgency in her mew. "What-?" She stopped abruptly. The she-cat growled, her mind whirling. "Cinderkit.. is, dead.." She meowed slowly, and sorrowfully. The she-cat raised her head, as her yellow gaze was icy and hard. "We have to find the murderer." She growled, flexing her claws.

"A kit? Who could have murdered a kit?" Larkpaw cried, amber eyes wide with horror. He had liked Cinderkit, and was excited for her to join him in the apprentice den, and now she never would. He hung his head sadly, numb with grief for the loss of three clanmates and with the knowledge they would have to choose another cat to be exiled. "I..I choose Shadefeather."
