Shadefeather yawned, padding out of the warriors den, as she shook her fur, before padding along. "What's all the ruckus?" She asked, her tail tip twitching.

Silvermist turned to Dewkit, shaking her head sadly. "Cinderstar has been murdered." She said gravely, blue eyes sharp and piercing. "We still have no idea who did this..." She saw Shadefeather padding along, and explained to situation to her, too. "We'll take a vote."

[wishbone!]

Troutkit woke up from his long nap. He yawned and his tiny white fangs rested into the air. Shaking his fluffy head, Troutkit stretched and exited the den. He went straight towards the fresh-kill pile because after all that napping, he was hungry. The fluffy kit picked out a small mouse just large enough to fill his tummy and give him energy until he fell asleep again.
Noticing a group of cats by the entrance, he wandered over in curiosity. "What's go'n on?" he asked.

[Brûlée]

Icesplash turned to answer Dewkit, before Silvermist answered. "Doesn't she know not to answer questions you weren't asked?" She thought. This has annoyed her plenty of times in her life, the elder liked to think through her responses, and it always seemed someone else answered. "It has to have been someone with sharp claws, that's for sure. Cinderstar had plenty of lives left." The entire thing saddened her, to have outlived a bright young leader. Thankfully Troutkit came out, and this time she already had her answer prepared. "Cinderstar is now in starclan, young kit. And the cause is a murderer. Now we must decide who has done it and exile them."

Larkpaw poked his head out of the apprentice den curiously as he heard ruckus outside. Padding closer to the crowd of cats outside, oblivious to what had happened, he swiveled his ears to make out his clanmate's words before stopping in his tracks as the news reached him. He dashed forward, stopping before Cinderstar's body to stare at his fallen leader in horror. "Who...who could have done this?"

Silvermist flexed her claws, staring defiantly at Icesplash. "I vote Icesplash. She's an elder, so she couldn't have one-shoted Cinderstar- instead, she slashed her throat and pushed the weakened Cinderstar into the river, so she could drown. Besides, she's Cinderstar for life!"

[Brûlée]

Icesplash looked disgusted at the accusation. "I fought for my clan for many moons, and now I'm being accused of a murder? That's like saying a kit did it! I don't know why you somehow think I have any motive to do this, goodness knows I'm not eligible to be deputy."

[wishbone!]

Troutkit drooped his ears. Though he couldn't hear, he could lipread. "When will she be bat? Se tolt me se would teach me tuh be a beg cat. Owe is se com'n bat?" he mewed.

"Sadly, she won't. She's now among the stars, little boy. But I'm sure she's watching over you from above, guarding you. " She mourned.
