Redpaw was out in the woods, having a quick hunt before settling down in camp. Her ears pricked as she heard the faintest sound of an animal's paws moving through the undergrowth, and she tracked where it was. She crouched and began to stalk the mouse, which was moving through the leaves on the ground, searching for something to eat. She silently crept forward, and when she was close enough, pounced and killed it with a swift bite. Satisfied, she picked it up and headed back to camp. As she got closer to the top of the hollow, a tangy smell she recognized hit her nose. Oh no...! She ran back to camp and headed through the entrance, following the scent of the blood. She gasped and dropped her mouse when she saw Azurefeather's limp body lying near the freshkill pile. "A-azurefeather!" She yowled, and ran over to the queen, her eyes glazed with sadness and confusion.
