i am mainy traditional rater and namer, but i'm okay with some non-traditional names.
slugflower - 8/10. the name seems kinda... off to me, but i like it's unique prefix. it's not often you see slug-. i kinda retracted a few points because i don't think -flower is very fitting. she is fiercely protective, like you described, but you never mentioned being motherly or a teacher, or anything along those lines. protective is different then nuturing in my opinion, so i think a different suffix might work better. maybe -claw?
toadfur - 10/10! i really like this one, i think it's fitting to her. and i think -storm would be much more fitting then -fur, as she does seem to have pretty obvious skills. nice job!
laurelflower- 10/10. same reason as above.
my cats
aspencloud - a tom-cat with a laid-back and relaxed personality, and he has a tendency to daydream. he tends to be rather clumsy as well. he is a light grey tabby with a white underbelly and muzzle, and amber eyes. picture for better idea.
aspen: pelt colour. cloud: personality.
sorrelfang - a fiery and hotheaded she-cat. she likes to be in charge and has a rather large ego about her fighting skills, despite them not being the best. despite that, she is confident. she is a calico, with a stump tail, which leads her to have troubles balancing in trees, on thin things, etc. she is a calico, with amber eyes and a stump tail. picture for better idea.
sorrel: pelt colour. fang: skills, and personality.
