This is more for things that don't happen much (or at all) anymore. Like a TV show that was cancelled, or something about a book for little kids. Basically anything people might have forgotten that matter.
If you still don't understand, here's an example: User one: "Anyone remember when Steve left Blues Clues?" User two: "Yes. Anyone remember when the first iPod came out?" User three: "No. Remember when NASA was considering Sedna be a planet?" And so on.
