On the topic of Harry Potter hate: my parents once burned my entire set of books, movies, and other merchandise.
They fell victim to the "Harry Potter is satanic" stories. I was rather devastated at the time. Luckily, we bought the entire series a year or two later, along with the movies.

If my parents ever tried that, it would. NOT. End. Well. Bl Fortunately, my parents love it too, though not as much as me. They let me get a caledar, posters, etc. So no danger there. That's kinda sad, I feel rather bad about that.
