the first one that comes to mind atm would me mob/kageyama shigeo from mob psycho 100!! honestly, he's just a really well-developed protagonist and an absolute breath of fresh air, since he pretty much subverts all the typical tropes of a shounen manga's main character. he has the concerns and skewed priorities of any real middle schooler, and it's nice seeing him get over his inner conflicts as the series progresses.
also it's just a gorgeous show ngl
