Briarstar couldn't stop grinning in all her excitement as she explored the territory that was now hers, PetalClan's. The sights
and scents of it all were so much more appealing than those of the dank alleyways she used to live in. She was glad that this
StarClan had chosen her to found a new Clan, for she only longed to do good in the world, especially after all of her experiences
in the nasty city. She promised to herself to make this Clan one of the kindest, most welcoming out there.

After she finished exploring and hunting a bit, the tortoiseshell quickly set out for the Moonpool before dusk arrived. As she
entered the cave, a shiver of excitement coursed through her body. The cold stone against her paw pads felt remarkably
refreshing. She crouched at the pool's edge and began to lap up the water. Soon enough she fell asleep.

of all the ponds on the island, shubunkinstar could sense that this one was special. like gravity, it drew her unwillingly towards it, dragging her feet in an unconscious zombie-walk to its pristine, prismatic waters. this must have been the moonpool, she guessed, as no other bodies of water could have this effect on her.

her green eyes blank and mouth dragged back in a long, grim frown, shubunkinstar made the final steps toward its icy waves of white. amazingly, as she peered into its cold, wintery depths, the tortoiseshell could have sworn she saw koi fish darting and surfacing in the water. blinking, she realized they weren't real fish at all. they're spirit-fish, she realized, sniffing as one leaped in front of her and revealed its iridescent, ghostly scales. guiding me to the moonpool. to starclan. she had only interacted with starclan once before in a dream a few nights back, when a starry tom named blackmuzzle gave her a rundown of how clans functioned and why she needed to create her own. knighting her as shubunkinstar, he told her to get out and find a place to commune with the stars regularly, and to find it soon. now, here she was, lowering her head to lap at the moonpool.

as soon as her tongue hit the water, shubunkinstar's wide green eyes shot open, faster and more powerful than a fish shattering a pond's glassy surface as it breached. she was in starclan again, face-to-face with blackmuzzle once more. "welcome back," the young tomcat mewed dryly, his blue eyes expressionless. "you've decided to really go through with this clan thing, eh? well, we're here to help you out. what do you need?"

"a deputy," shubunkinstar mewed simply, meeting the pointed warrior's gaze evenly. "to help me guide koiclan."

blackmuzzle grinned. "alright," he meowed. "deputy it is. now, wake up, kit. dawn is breaking."

A gentle whistle of birdsong echoed through the early morning silence, announcing the arrival of the sun as it rose over the hooded forest. Rays of light trickled through dense foliage, sunbeams dancing across the chilled earth. It was a peaceful morning for the newly founded Clan, something that was sure to be rare in the coming days.

From her dark den of thorns and brambles emerged ViperStar, her footfalls heavy and deliberate, alerting anyone that may be within earshot that she was awake and prowling. Mossy eyes darted over the scenery before her, and she set off on her morning patrol, padding around the borders of her land. There was nothing she feared, she had been born in blood and had faith in her strength to protect herself and her territory. It was, however, a bit lonely being on her own. When she finished her duties, she would turn to the moonpool and call for another. A deputy, maybe; a second-in-command to help her along. When she thought about it, a medicine cat wouldn't be too bad either - someone to heal her clan after combat. A hard decision that she would leave to the stars.

It seemed there was never an end to the wild energy that electrocuted through the camp, carrying positivity and fortune wherever it went. PebbleClan had grown in numbers, with multiple apprentices, kits, and future litters that would bring the them all into more power, fulfilling StarClan's destiny to revive the long lost Clan. Still, there was one cat that seemed uneasy about the spirits that were in StarClan now, having lived in these very dens many moons ago. Olivestar couldn't shake the unease from her shoulders, and it gathered in her stomach like a heavy stone, weighing her down. Rising to her paws, the she-cat exited the darkness of her den and entered the middle of camp, sniffing the air until she could smell honey, catmint, and a variety of other herbs, her eyes following the smells until they settled on a black and white she-cat sitting just outside of the Medicine Cat Den. "Splashpelt, can I talk to you about something for a second?" Everyone else seemed distracted by Applepaw's warrior assessment and the many rambunctious kits to pay any attention to the Leader, who slipped into the herb filled den with Splashpelt quietly following. "Is everything alright, Olivestar? You look like you've had a bit of trouble sleeping, are you ill?" Words quiet but drenched in concern, Splashpelt inched closer to the brown patchy she-cat to sniff at her cautiously, trying to pick up any signs that would point towards a strange illness. "No, I'm feeling fine, just a bit nervous lately. I had a dream last night that a flood came through the camp, just like the one that wiped out the old PebbleClan. I never really considered the idea that another flood could come. If all those strong warriors were taken out from the waters before, what is stopping that from happening again?" Sitting down, Olivestar looked up at her friend in worry, hoping that the Medicine Cat could offer some words of advice. "Were there any other cats in the dream? Did you hear anything?" She asked, tilting her head as the Leader shook her head. "No, it was just me, and I couldn't hear anything. The dream was kind of foggy, like all other dreams I have. It just left me a bit shook up." To ease the anxiety of the nervous she-cat, Splashpelt rested her tail along Olivestar's back, giving her a comforting nudge. "It doesn't sound like a prophecy, just a nightmare. It's normal for you to have dreams like that, your main focus is to protect this Clan while also bringing it back from the sand. You have a lot of pressure on you right now, Olivestar, but I don't think you need to worry. StarClan themselves brought this mission upon you with complete faith. They wouldn't put you at such a risk. PebbleClan will be perfectly fine, especially with you as their leader."

////////"Hurr'up," the small, scarred ginger tom mumbled under his breath, his words muffled by the stolen prey in his jaws. His companion muttered something inaudible as he rummaged through the roots of the maple tree, his twitching tail betraying his frustration.
////////From the lowest branches of the targeted tree, Egretstar perched, silent and curious, as he observed the thieving duo. An entertained smile played on his white muzzle. "Are you going to let them run away with all our prey?" Wrenclaw hissed impatiently, kneading at the bark underpaw in agitation. She didn't exactly know what Egretstar was waiting to happen, as though the ginger rogues would have a sudden snap of conscience? Wrenclaw scoffed to herself.
////////Quickly, the larger of the two toms pulled out of the burrow, his jaws stuffed with the remaining Featherclan fresh-kill. Wrenclaw growled, squaring her shoulders to leap down and show those good-for-nothing toms what-for, but a flash of white in the corner of her vision startled her. Egretstar hadn't beaten her to it; well, in his own way. "Those don't belong to you," the white tom purred coolly, dropping down before the strangers. Wrenclaw joined her leader's side a moment later, her fur ruffled. Surprised, the rogues recoiled with a hiss, dropping their treasures in the process. Clouded blue eyes glared at the two clan cats accusingly, a scarred muzzle drawn back to reveal a threatening row of fangs.
////////"They do now." The tom spoke - nay, snarled - in a thick, foreign drawl that had Wrenclaw raising a brow in confusion in spite of the clear threat.
////////"You're from across the border," Egretstar stated more than questioned, seemingly not surprised.
////////It was the tom's turn to be taken aback. "You know of México?" His ginger-and-white brother shuffled uncomfortably, grumbling a comment in Spanish. Wrenclaw didn't speak Spanish, but it looked like he wanted to fight and be done with this encounter.
////////Egretstar smiled coyly, comfortably sitting back on his haunches. "Not personally, but I was foretold of your arrival," he purred, curling his fluffy tail over his front paws. The ginger tabbies shared a perplexed glance, as if suddenly concerned for their safety in the presence of the peculiar white tom. "By Starclan," Egretstar clarified.
////////"Gatos de las estrellas," the larger tom murmured, reverent. His littermate blinked, cautiously relaxing.
////////Egretstar's gaze fell to the prey littered between the four cats, amused if not anything else. "If you are that desperate for food, please help yourself and be on your way," he offered, silencing Wrenclaw's yowl of protest with a swift lashing of his tail. "Or, you are more than welcome to join us. Our clan may not look like much now, but it will be mighty," he purred with a slightly wild grin. Wrenclaw shuddered; she hated it when he got that look in his eye.
////////The rogues fell into covert discussion, speaking a tongue neither Wrenclaw nor Egretstar could translate. The molly pinned her ears, wary, as she glanced at her leader as if to ask 'are you sure about this?' But Egretstar paid her no mind; his sharp-eyed focus was on the two strangers. Eventually, much to the apparent chagrin of the white-splashed tabby, the smaller tom stepped forward, squaring himself to his full height. "My name is Cardinalfang, and my brother, Tanagerfur. Your... small clan is curious to us. For now we will stay," Cardinalfang announced, dipping his head in reluctant politeness.
////////Whilst Wrenclaw lingered on the 'for now' part of that decision, Egretstar beamed as he jumped to his paws. "Brilliant," he purred, curling his white tail over his back. As the clan's newest members busied themselves returning the (attempted) stolen prey to its pile, Wrenclaw turned to her leader with a perturbed expression, as if not quite sure what had just happened.
////////"Did Starclan send you these cats?" She hissed distrustfully.
////////Egretstar chuckled lightly, running his tail soothingly across her brown-patched fur. "In a way," he mused, glancing to the tree canopy overhead. From between the blooming leaves, two red-feathered shapes could be spotted: one much leaner and one with a pointed crest. They had found themselves a long way from home.

Last moon
Dapplecloud, Whitecoal and Greypaw had circled the entire forest. Dapplecloud taught Greypaw some hunting skills but all they had to practice on were leaves. There was no prey to be found. Whitecoal put his nose in the air and sniffed.

"Hmm... Looks like all the prey was scared away," he said. Dapplecloud lightly scuffed her apprentice on the head.
"Ow!" he yelped.
"Oh come on, it wasn't that hard." She rolled her eyes. He pouted at her but she turned her gaze away from him. "In any case, we should return home. If Birdstar is disappointed we blame Greypaw."
"I'm sure she'll understand. Though you shouldn't be too harsh to him," Whitecoal said and put his tail on Greypaw's flank. She turned and padded away. Greypaw sighed.

"I don't think she likes me..."
"I wouldn't say that. She's new to this sort of thing. She will warm up to you eventually," Whitecoal said with a slight smile.
"You think so?" he mewed. Whitecoal nodded.
"Wow! I wish you were my mentor!" he shouted.
"Haha, you shouldn't say that. Anyway, let's follow Dapplecloud before she gets to camp before us," he said. The two cats then walked back to camp after catching up with Dapplecloud.

This moon
A moon had passed and Greypaw had already made a friend. A new apprentice had joined the clan and she was a pretty cat named Blossompaw. She was a little quiet but friendly. Greypaw was looking forward to training with her and maybe he could impress her by catching some big prey! Dapplecloud was still a little miffed by last time and was ignoring his requests to go hunting again. First, he would have to prove he is responsible enough. Bramblestep, who she was slowing warming up to, was Blossompaw's mentor. She prodded him up with her paw.

"Wha, wha... What's up?" he said when he got to his feet.
"Since we are both mentors, I think we should train our apprentice's together," she suggested.
"That's a great idea! What should we train them today?" he asked.
"Anything but hunting..." Dapplecloud then walked up to the two apprentices. They were playing in the tree and she had to call them down. Greypaw slid all the way to the bottom.

"Hey, Dapplecloud! Are we going hunting again?" Greypaw said with hope in his eyes.
"No," she simply said and his eyes went dark. "But we are going training. Blossompaw and Bramblestep will come with us."
"What will you train us?" Blossompaw quietly asked. At this point, Bramblestep had joined them.
"Hmm... Maybe some battle skills?"
"Wow, awesome!" Greypaw shouted. "Let's go!" He started to run off when Dapplecloud stepped on his tail. He yelped and spun around to look at her. She signalled for Bramblestep and Blossompaw to go ahead.
"Not so fast. After last time's incident you have to prove to me that you're responsible. You'll never become a warrior if you always act childish," she growled.
"But last time was an accident! I am responsible!" he wailed.
"Then prove it," she slightly hissed and told him to follow. He walked silently behind her.

Meanwhile, Rabbitnose was watching. She shook her head at what she just saw. She still believed Dapplecloud was the right choice to become Greypaw's mentor. It was just her personality. She acted a little mean and cruel but deep down there must be kindness too. She decided to talk to Birdstar about it later. She had something else to tell her anyway... She then walked in her den and sorted out her herbs.

It was fitting, really - all this rain. It was as if all those drops were imitating the tears of the LeafClan cats. Perhaps StarClan was grieving as well. Perhaps they had not forsaken the living.... There were up to this point nine losses to the sickness as well as two stillborn kits last moon. It was almost unbearable. As Fernpaw peered into the warriors' den, she found Daisyskip and Foxpounce huddled close together, both shaking slightly as soft sobs escaped them. It hadn't been long at all since their mother Honeydapple perished, and now their brother Birchwing was no more. The apprentice's heart ached for the family. Of course they weren't the only family struck by the illness, however. Falconchaser, son of the leader and brother to Heatherpond and Pinedust, too had passed. Tragedy after tragedy seemed to befall the leader's kin. There was also a father to four apprentices, Cloudtalon, who had left them to join StarClan. Despite how uninvolved he was with his family, Fernpaw noticed how his kits' spirits were immensely dampened. Even Burntpaw, who was known to be tough and unemotional, could be seen shedding at least one tear. The she-cat's thoughts were interrupted when someone nudged her gently. "Hey, did anyone ever tell you that it's not nice to stare?" came a hushed voice. Fernpaw gave a small, apologetic smile as she turned her gaze to her paws. "I wasn't trying to stare," she whispered back, leading the tom away from the den entrance and out of the camp. "Are you crazy? It's still raining," Dewfang objected. Fernpaw chuckled, "It's just a little drizzle, silly. Now last night it was indeed raining. Horrendously. But I like the rain - it's calming." The tabby sat down under an oak tree and motioned with her tail for the warrior to join her. As he settled next to her, he mewed, "Okay, why are we out here?" Sighing, Fernpaw studied the ground for a few moments. When she finally spoke, she looked up at him, "Are you alright?" Dewfang appeared puzzled. "Fine, same as always." The apprentice turned her gaze away, her eyes narrowing as she thought. "What's the matter?" "Don't you miss your brother?" her voice was soft and tentative, and her eyes immediately darted for his, searching for anything they might give away. It was clear that the question caught him a little off guard. He stuttered a bit, "U-um, well, yeah, I guess...." Pressing his lips together, he stared at the ground, muttering, "Wow, that didn't sound very nice, did it..?" Fernpaw scooted closer to the white tom, curling her tail around him. "Tell me what's going on, Dew," she urged gently. Dewfang sighed, "Well... I certainly feel like I should be sad that he's gone, I should be mourning like everyone else. But we weren't ever friends, really.... He never stood up for me when Russetdash would say all that nasty stuff about my eyes. I feel so bad that I'm not grieving, though...." The white tom kept his gaze toward the ground, guilt plaguing his face. The she-cat pressed her nose to his cheek. "I understand. Don't feel bad." Slowly Dewfang's breaths became shakier. He felt his throat closing up and began inwardly panicking. What was happening? He just said he wasn't sad - why did he have to now fight back tears? Then he realized. Closing his eyes, he quietly choked out, "I only have my two sisters now, but they hate me. We're nothing like a family. Aren't you supposed to be able to depend on family? I'm so alone, s-so alone...." Fernpaw's mouth gaped open a little as he finished and she noticed tears seeping into his cheek fur. "Oh, Dewfang," she murmured, nuzzling his neck. "You aren't alone, I promise. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. I love you." The words were out of her mouth before she knew it. Those three little words that had been begging to escape for quite some time now were finally voiced. A smile grew on the tabby's face.

Appleheart lay in the back of the medicine den on his nest, chin resting on his paws, eyes staring off at nothing. Since Willowcloud had gone, he couldn't shake a feeling of numbness. He couldn't face the reality of her death. As he recalled the days when he was but an apprentice, young, immature, and the like, he remembered how she was like a mother to him, guiding him through everything. Her gentle, encouraging voice kept echoing in his mind. The ginger tom shut his eyes tight at all the memories. It hurt so much, far too much. When he felt a soft nudge in his shoulder, his glossy eyes opened to find Blizzardpaw standing there, her bright blue eyes full of concern. Appleheart gave a small nod in greeting as he got to his paws and arched his spine in a stretch. Should we go check on all the kits? the apprentice signed tentatively. It took the tom a few moments to decipher her movements - he was still learning how to sign. With another nod, he began to pad out of the den with the white she-cat at his heels. As the two approached the nursery, a loud commotion could be heard from inside the spacious den. Stepping in, Appleheart found that the youngest of the kits were playing - scampering throughout the place, surprise-attacking each other, and throwing balls of moss in the air left and right. The nine of them were a pawful for their mothers. Suddenly a little, fluffy tortoiseshell barreled into the medicine cat's side. "Ah! Sorry!" the she-kit squeaked, stumbling backwards. A laugh sounded as her sister and a couple others came bounding toward them, "Rowankit! You shouldn't have run so far ahead of me!" "I'm sorry..." came the high voice again. "You're fine, little one, don't worry," Appleheart assured her gently. Rowankit unseeingly turned toward him with a smile. "Come on!" mewed a dilute calico, Dovekit, to the tortoiseshell sisters. "Let's go ambush our brothers!" Giggling, Aspenkit led Rowankit away at a quick trot and Dovekit began to follow, but her sister didn't. She stared up at the medicine cats, quivering with excitement. "Hi!" she chirped. "I'm Willowkit. Who are you?" Appleheart froze. His gaze wouldn't leave the little she-kit. Willow... Bramblestrike named her after Willowcloud. The ginger tabby felt a small smile growing on his face - the first smile since his mentor's passing. His throat was tight, but he managed to softly mew, "It's nice to meet you, Willowkit. I'm Appleheart, and this is Blizzardpaw. Now go off and play with your litter-mates." "Oh, alright. Bye!" Grinning widely, the calico kit turned away and hurried after the others.

The deputy was panicking, to put it lightly. It was clear that Emberstar had caught the sickness, too - her dreadful fits of coughing could be heard all over the camp. Nothing was going the way Frigidrose had thought it would. After all her hard work of planning everything that would lead to Emberstar's death, that last life would be taken by illness. Frigidrose's head was whirring with thoughts. At first she thought she should just barge right into the leader's den and end it all herself, the way she had planned, but what a rash decision that would be. Hadn't the leader suffered enough already? Did Frigidrose really need to do anything else to hurt her? She paced just outside the camp, not giving the rain a single thought. "What are you doing?" The voice sounded suspicious. It was Frostpath. The silver tabby glanced at her, muttering, "Thinking. What do you want?" The white warrior slowly approached the deputy. "I know what you're thinking about." "Oh do you, now?" Frigidrose chuckled, a smile growing on her face but then disappearing as quickly as it had come while she continued to pad over the same stretch of soggy earth, back and forth, back and forth. "Leave her alone." When Frostpath's voice suddenly sounded stern and commanding, the silver tabby finally looked her in the eye, a small smirk playing at her lips. "Well, surely to your surprise, I was considering doing just that." The younger's bi-colored eyes widened and she began to stutter, "Wh-wh... wha...." A purr of amusement rumbled in the deputy's throat, "Oh, but don't be too convinced of my course of action yet. I haven't reached a final decision." When no reply came from the white she-cat, who stood there staring at the silver one with her mouth gaping open, Frigidrose went on, "You see, my predicament is that I feel the tremendous desire to carry out the work I intended to do from the start, all those moons ago, but there's the voice in the back of my head that whispers, 'Perhaps you've done enough?'" She sighed, turning her gaze back to the damp soil that her claws were now kneading in frustration. Finally Frostpath regained the use of her voice and pleaded quietly, "Frigidrose, listen to that voice, please. Emberstar has been through so much. Don't hurt her anymore than you already have." The two of them stood in silence as Frgidrose mulled over everything. For once she began questioning herself about why she had done everything she had. It all started because of her little daughter, Shadekit, and Falconchaser when he was a kit, she remembered. As she recalled that momentous, painful day, a line of dialogue stuck out: B-but I didn't, it was her... Falconkit had said. Realization swept over her, and suddenly the deputy felt as if she couldn't breathe. Maybe it was Shadekit's idea to sneak out of the camp.... In all her anger that day, she had completely ignored anyone trying to reason with her. So... this whole mess was started because of her own kit. Frigidrose's head began to throb as she tried to piece everything together. She felt so dizzy. She stopped thinking about it, she couldn't do it anymore, it hurt. Abruptly she stopped her pacing and headed for the camp at a brisk trot. As she passed Frostpath, she choked out, "Don't come looking for me. Don't."

Dusk had fallen on the camp. A half moon lent some light to the scene, and it was nearly at its peak in the sky when a figure emerged from the warriors' den, its shadow dancing across the ground. Swiftly and silently it made its way out of the camp, where it stayed for a while, then back in and toward the leaders' den, disappearing inside. The silver tabby stared down at the unconscious spotted one, allowing a small sigh to escape her. "Oh, Emberstar..." she murmured, almost as a test to see if she was in fact asleep. No reaction came from the leader. Frigidrose breathed another sigh, this one of relief, for she knew what she wanted to say she could never have the strength to say to Emberstar's face. "I'm so sorry - from the bottom of my heart, I'm sorry. It was all a misunderstanding." The only response was a soft snore. "I was blinded by grief and shock. I should have listened to Falconchaser.... I want to apologize for wreaking havoc on your Clan. I would name and apologize for all the specific things I have done, but it would take too long to recount every one of those hideous deeds of mine. Somehow I justified my actions by thinking that you were incompetent. I thought that your kit had been raised to be reckless and unthinking, for I had believed that it was he who convinced Shadekit to leave the camp, when in truth it was her. And so I came to the erroneous conclusion that you were a poor choice for a leader. I decided that I would rid the Clan of you and put myself in your place. I thought I could change LeafClan for the better, but I doubt that could ever be true..." she trailed off, head lowered and gaze toward the ground in shame. "I have done so much to hurt you, Emberstar. Words cannot express my sorrow, guilt, or regret in the slightest." Frigidrose's voice was now barely a whisper as her throat tightened and she struggled to restrain the tears threatening to fall. Quietly she crept closer to the leader. "I don't want you to suffer any more. You don't deserve it at all. You don't deserve the slow, agonizing death that this mysterious sickness brings." Glancing at the red berry she carefully held in her paw, she went on, "Since your death is inevitable, the least I can do is end your pain sooner." After taking a deep breath, Frigidrose gave the leader's stomach a hard prod, causing her to wake with a gasp. While her jaws were parted, the deputy quickly shoved the deathberry down her throat, and it went down somewhat smoothly. Frigidrose struggled to now hold Emberstar's jaws closed so that her cries would be muffled. Her wide green eyes gradually began to grow duller. The silver deputy couldn't determine what emotion those eyes held. It seemed to be a mixture of disbelief, sorrow, and understanding. By the time her body went limp, Frigidrose's own eyes were stinging with tears. The struggle over at last, she simply stood there, out of breath, staring at the cooling body of the leader before her. A couple little sobs escaped her as she crouched next to Emberstar and pressed her nose into her fur. "I'm sorry..." Now that the tears were beginning to seep out, she couldn't hold them back. She cried into the spotted fur. Abruptly she got to her paws, giving the leader one last long look before hurriedly stepping out of the den and leaping onto the High Tree. It took her a few moments to calm herself and catch her breath. When she felt her voice would be steady enough, she yowled, "Cats of LeafClan! Your leader is with StarClan now."

VixenClan was growing steadily. RowanStar could remember when not even a year ago his Clan had been no one but himself. He was growing quite proud of the Clan he had created here.

FlickerClaw stared out from the tree where he lay. He expected much more from this Clan. He wanted to fight! He didn’t like the fact that RiwanStar was integrating all these rogues into the Clan- even a kittypet whom he allowed to keep her name. It was ridiculous. RowanStar was soft. He wasn’t fit to be a leader. At the first sign of violence, he would probably either run, or try to mediate the angry cats.
How foolish he was.

"CloudClan?"
Emberblaze had just gone hunting, and had been discovered by some dogs. After running away from them he discovered they had tried to attack his clan, although it was a miracle nobody had been hurt. But it seemed the place was no longer safe, as twolegs were bringing those big wooly creatures called "sheep" as Skystar called them, big trampling creatures that were always accompanied by dogs. The clan simply scattered as far as they could go, most of them taking shelter in other clans. It had only been him, Blossomfur, Amberpaw and Skystar without clans. They had returned to this place when a sheep came charging at them, so they had split into twos.
"Emberblaze-" Blossomfur began. "Do you think we'll see Skystar again? Last time I saw him he was being chased by sheep." Emberblaze interrupted worriedly. Blossomfur nodded. She didn't actually know the tom very well, but due to the fact that he was her clan leader even for a short time respect was in her eyes. "Do you think we could find him then? And what would we do after that?" he echoed. "Create a clan?" Blossomfur suggested, much to Emberblaze's surprise and shock. "We can't do that! What about CloudClan?" Blossomfur tilted her head to one side, thinking for a moment. "CloudClan is gone." she continued at last sadly. Emberblaze shook his head, tears in his eyes. "That can't be true!" he gulped. Blossomfur nodded, "Everybody scattered! We are the only ones left. We need to find shelter." gathering himself together, Emberblaze nodded. "What about CloudClan's allies? SwiftClan and CliffClan are our allies, we could get shelter there." Emberblaze shook his head. "We won't be weak! We need to-" Emberblaze began to mumble something, before stopping himself. "-create a clan!" Emberblaze gave Blossomfur a funny look. "Or at least stick together."

After a little bit of traveling, the two cats came across a calm forest and made camp. Emberblaze traveled a little further on, leaving Blossomfur to hunt, and found a place warm with sunlight. There he made a wish that he could see Skystar again, before continuing his walk. A noise from behind him made him turn round. A she-cat was patiently grooming her pelt as if she had been waiting for them. "Who are you and what are you doing on our territory?" he demanded, before being silenced by her knowing eyes. "I am Lyrawing. I have come in search of the warrior who blazes brightly." she said with no expression. "He will help me to create CosmoClan under the eyes of the StarColony." Emberblaze was taken back to the times long ago... where he was back with his mother who had said fate was under the eyes of the StarColony. "I'm Emberblaze. Have you seen a white tom around here, green eyes-" Emberblaze was cut off by a warning stare, which had first been glittering with stars. "He is not relevant to the StarColony," Lyrawing began. "You are, as is the owl with eyes of amber. But we are not to talk about that now. I was the late Solar Guardian's daughter. When he died along with the rest of us he told me to seek you, and rebuild the clan. My foolish brother had eyes for some loner, so I was left to continue tradition." she paused for breath before beginning again, but as she opened her mouth so did Emberblaze. "Come with me to our camp. Maybe Blossomfur can make some sense of your words." Lyrawing began to follow him, her mind whirring with the old prophecies of Starleap, her former leader. He could be the first Lunar Guardian, she noted.

Lyrawing wondered where her brother was; last time she had seen him was in a dream where he had been sitting by a pool of Shimmering water that had seemed to be in the mountain, and in that dream she had seen a clearing through his eyes. If she looked carefully she could see the round clearing no bigger then the sun setting above her. One day Lyrawing might see him again, Leostorm. After they had disbanded he had gone as Leo, and finally Dew. Maybe he didn't want to believe in the cosmos.

Leafstar's eyes narrowed as he spotted three cats in the distance. The sandy brown tabby tom signaled for Ripplepaw, Brightstream, and Daisypaw to stop with his tail. A black she-cat was telling a golden brown tabby tom, "Maplewhisker, please, we've got to be close to them now!" A dark brown tabby tom stiffened as he scented the air, "Careful! I think-" At that time, Leafstar gave the order to strike. The SeaClan leader pounced on the larger of the three, the golden brown tabby, knocking him over. Ripplepaw was wrestling with the black she-cat, while Daisypaw was trying to help her friend, her fur bristling with both fear and hostility. Brightstream managed to pin the dark brown tabby tom, who bared his fangs in defiance. The golden brown tabby tom shouted, "Peace! We mean no harm!" Leafstar signaled with his tail, and his Clanmates stepped away from the winded intruders.

Leafstar demanded, "Who are you, and what are you doing on SeaClan territory?" The three cats exchanged glances of surprise before the black she-cat meowed, "Forgive us for trespassing. We didn't know this was Clan territory." The dark brown tabby tom spoke, "We only met together to help each other as we moved away to find a new home away from our old clans." The golden brown tabby tom nodded, adding, "My name is Maplewhisker, of SedgeClan. My Clan was disbanded when I was the lone survivor of a badger attack. I was its deputy," he sighed, a faraway look in his eyes. The golden brown tom mewed, "I'm Oakshadow, of LightClan, and I escaped from my clan before I would have caught the same mysterious illness everyone else had." He looked down on his paws, "I was a coward, I guess..." The black she-cat took a deep breath before meowing, "And I'm Rookbelly, of AdderClan. I left my clan because I did not agree with Houndstar's way of life." Her pale green gaze clouded as she added softly, "I left my only kit Swiftkit there... But she'll fare better there as she is so young..." Leafstar glanced at his deputy before meowing, "My name is Leafstar, leader of SeaClan, and this-" he indicated Brightstream with his tail, "is Brightstream, my deputy." Turning to Ripplepaw and Daisypaw, he added, "And these are Ripplepaw and Daisypaw, our apprentices." The sandy brown tabby tom meowed, asking, "Would you three want to join our Clan?" Brightstream nodded, adding, "Yes! We are still somewhat of a small Clan as of now, and it would be wonderful to have three cats with Clan experience to join us." The three cats turned to each other and, after a short discussion, the one called Maplewhisker meowed, "Yes, Leafstar, we will join." Rookbelly asked, "But may I request to have my name changed, to signify a new life?" Maplewhisker nodded, "So do I." Oakshadow said nothing, but nodded. Leafstar ordered, "Ripplepaw, Daisypaw, take the fresh-kill we caught back to camp first, and inform Honeytuft three new Clanmates are coming back with us." The two apprentices dipped their heads in acknowledgement and quickly made their way toward camp. The SeaClan leader meowed, turning to the three new members of his Clan, "Welcome to SeaClan, the Clan by the Great Waters, as many cats would call it."

Honeytuft told Leafstar urgently, calling him into his chamber, "Leafstar, Emberwhisker has developed a fever." Glancing at the tortoiseshell she-cat laying on the moss bed nearby, the sandy brown tabby leader of SeaClan asked, worry cropping onto his voice, "Will she be okay?" Honeytuft replied, as the two toms listened to Emberwhisker's feverish moaning, "I've given her feverfew. She is strong, I know she will make it." Leafstar sighed with relief, meowing, "I know she is." He then asked, worry back in his mew, "And Whiterose?" The honey-colored tabby medicine cat meowed firmly, "Her kits will come when they decide it is time, Leafstar. Be patient." The sandy brown tabby tom sighed and mewed, "All right, I will be on patrol with Ripplepaw and Oakshadow." At the mention of the new SeaClan warrior, Honeytuft nodded in satisfaction, "Good. Oakshadow is a good tracker, if I heard it right from Brightstream. He'll learn the borders quickly." Glancing at Emberwhisker, the SeaClan medicine cat asked worriedly, "Who can I ask to help watch her and Whiterose while I'm out to gather herbs?" Leafstar's whiskers twitched as he asked, "In this weather?" The honey-colored tabby retorted, "I need to find more herbs to prepare against disease." The SeaClan leader sighed, "Dustflower and Shorefall should be free." Honeytuft thanked him and left, prompting Leafstar to sigh and head out, taking one last glance at the tortoiseshell she-cat lying on the floor.

Leafstar saw Ripplepaw and Oakshadow waiting for them; the fluffy gray apprentice mewed excitedly, "Where are we heading today?" Chuckling, her mentor replied, "The eastern border, by the large boulder. Oakshadow will need to learn our borders, right?" "Right," the dark brown tabby tom nodded, clearly looking forward to his outing. Leafstar mewed, as Stormfang's border patrol was preparing to leave the camp, "Stormfang!" The solid gray tom turned and signaled for his patrol, consisting of Ivypaw and Mintnose, to stop. "Yes?" the gray warrior asked; Leafstar meowed, "Be sure to show Mintnose the Sky Pine and everywhere on our side of the border." Stormfang nodded, "Will do, Leafstar." Turning to the gray Maine coon she-cat, who had joined just a few sunrises ago, he mewed, "Let's get going." He flicked his tail at Ivypaw, who glanced at his leader before following the two warriors out toward the clifftop. Nodding toward his own patrol, Leafstar led the two cats toward the Walkway.

(Sometime later)
Honeytuft returned early to check up on his two patients. Just as the honey-colored tabby tom was about to head into his chamber to check up on Emberwhisker, he heard the unmistakable shriek of Whiterose from the nursery. Dustflower came running out of the medicine cat's chamber and meowed, "Honeytuft! Thank StarClan! Did you-?" Honeytuft meowed urgently, "Do me a favor, Dustflower. Go back to my chamber and get the stick you see and the chervil." After a moment, Honeytuft explained, seeing confusion on the chocolate tabby she-cat's face, "Chervil leaves are large, like fern leaves, and have a sweet scent." With a brisk nod, Dustflower disappeared down into the medicine cat's chamber. Honeytuft rushed into the nursery, meowing loudly, "Coming Whiterose!" Shorefall, who had been standing guard outside the nursery, stood aside to allow the medicine cat in, eyes wide with worry.

(That night)
Brightstream glanced at the cats gathered near the nursery. Her Clanmates seemed not to notice what she was doing as she padded quietly toward the Walkway. The white-and-ginger quickly padded out, and began to make her way down to the beach, guided by her knowledge of the narrow path and by the glow of the moon's pale light above. The SeaClan deputy mewed softly to herself, "Brightstream, this is for the good of the Clan. More kits means more cats for SeaClan." She kept repeating this to herself over and pver again until she was at the bottom. As she made her way toward the eastern border, where she told Vinescratch to come to, Brightstream did not notice that two sets of eyes were watching her.

Daisypaw was watching her from the top of the Walkway, just out of sight from below. The white-and-tabby she-cat whispered softly as she saw her mentor's form disappear from view, "May StarClan guide your paws..." With a sigh, Daisypaw stepped inside, deciding not to tell Leafstar or anyone else about it as she paded toward the group waiting news from inside the nursery.

Stormfang, meanwhile, had been outside for some time. The solid gray tom had suspected Brightstream had fallen for Vinescratch, the gray-and-white tabby tom from SkyClan, ever since the gathering. The SeaClan warrior had been returning from a late evening stroll earlier when he had noticed the SeaClan deputy coming down. Stormfang had quickly hidden behind some rocks; the gray warrior growled, once he was sure Brightstream had disappeared from listening distance, "You will not get away with this, Brightstream! Just you wait! First, you take my chance of becoming a mentor away from me, and then now break the warrior code by going to meet another Clan's warrior?" The solid gray tom's claws slid out as he promised grimly, "If and when you have kits, and when they are apprenticed, I promise to deal you swift punishment for being disloyal to both SeaClan and to StarClan by daring to try to become mates with another Clan's warrior!" Calming himself down, Stormfang sheathed his claws again before he forced his paws to carry him back to camp.

Once back in camp, the solid gray tom apologized to Shorefall, who had noticed his entrance, "Sorry, I was out for a stroll. What's all the fuss?" Shorefall replied, his gaze traveling to the nursery, "Whiterose is kitting." The gray warrior exclaimed, his attention suddenly going to the nursery, "Really?" The former SedgeClan deputy nodded in the positive and pointed out Leafstar's restlessly-pacing figure right outside. Nodding, Stormfang watched as time seemed to come to a standstill as another earsplitting yowl came from the nursery. Shorefall murmured, "I recommend taking Leafstar outside to put his mind off things." Nodding, Stormfang came up to his leader and mewed gently, "We should take a walk in the Pine Grove to try to calm you down." The sandy brown tabby tom meowed worriedly, "But Whiterose-" Mintnose, closest to the two toms, meowed softly, "He's right, Leafstar. Go." Glancing back at the nursery with a worried look, Leafstar allowed Stormfang to lead him toward the path that led to the Pine Grove.

[ Honeytuft looks for herbs (have him not find anything since he came in early please). ]
[ Leafstar teaches Ripplepaw tracking. ]
[ Brightstream teaches Daisypaw combat. ]
[ Stormfang teaches Ivypaw combat. ]
[ Rookbelly of AdderClan joins SeaClan. She requests a name change and becomes Nightwing. ]
[ Maplewhisker of SedgeClan, a disbanded clan, joins SeaClan. He requests a name change and becomes Shorefall. ]
[ Oakshadow of LightClan, a disbanded clan, joins SeaClan. ]
[ Mint, a former rogue, joins SeaClan. She becomes Mintnose. ]
[ Nightwing, Shorefall, Oakshadow, and Mintnose become warriors. ]

Amberstar helped Ravenfeather, one of the new cats to the medicine cat den. After she had collapsed onto a moss bed, Wolfmoon and Hollypaw rushed to her aid. Amberstar turned, heading out of the hollow when he heard the sweet voice of Hollypaw, "Wait!" she yowled. He swiftly turned his head, Hollypaw infront of him, worry in her eyes. "What's the matter, Hollypaw?" he asked, "A prophecy! Wolfmoon and I have received a prophecy!" she mewed. Amberstar looked over Hollypaw's shoulder to Wolfmoon, now looking him square in the eye, he turned his gaze back to Hollypaw. "What was this vision about?" he asked, sitting down. After Hollypaw and Wolfmon had explained the prophecy Amberstar nodded his head, "I will look more into this, and tell the cats this at the gathering" he meowed. Right when his head poked through the hole to the Medicine Cat's den 2 cats came racing past him, causing him to jump back. Amberstar landed onto his back, his legs sticking up like roadkill, he looked at a smirking Ravenfeather, and a chuckling Hollypaw. Wolfmoon ran to the leader's side, gently grabbing his fur with his jaws and helping the leader up. Amberstar let out a huff and looked out the den, he followed the chuckles and looked over to Skypaw and Juniperpaw, both laughing their tails off. The tom walked towards the two, Skypaw shut her muzzle quickly, looking at Amberstar as soon as he walked over, but Juniperpaw kept laughing, unaware of the leader's presence. Skypaw elbowed Juniperpaw in his side, followed by a frightened yowl, [b]"what is the matter with-" Juniperpaw started, but stopped when he noticed Amberstar. "No need to fear, I'm just asking for a simple apology" Amberstar mewed. Juniperpaw and Skypaw looked
at each other, puzzled till they both mouthed "oh", and looked back to him. "We-we're sorry for scaring you" Juniperpaw meowed, Skypaw nodded quickly. Amberstar chuckled, "hah, it's alright!" and left to visit the nursery. Sparrowkit and Crowfur, now known as Stormrunner were both in there, as well as Featherflower and her litter. Stormrunner had been playing around with Nightkit and Jaykit, chasing them both around the den, and sometimes dramatically falling over to get a good laugh out of them. Featherflower had been nursing Sparrowkit, her tail wrapped protectively around him. Amberstar grinned at the sight, and went over to Stormrunner, "so you are enjoying your stay in Badgerclan I suppose" he chuckled, Stormrunner nodded, "they remind me of my kits.. I hope my old mate will forgive me for leaving, if I ever see her again" Stormrunner sighed. He looked over at Sparrowkit, "we were helping kits out of the nursery when the clan departed, and Sparrowkit was the one I had grabbed... I left... I left my old kits behind" he sighed, Amberstar wrapped his tail around the tom, "it's fine.. if she has joined another clan I promise you'll see her again" Amberstar reassured. Stormrunner grinned, "th-thanks Amberstar" he meowed.
One moon later..
Eaglewing grinned showing around Pepperfrost to the camp. It had been a moon and the she-cat already knew everything about Badgerclan territory, but Eaglewing was determined to help a cat out "oh, and over there you can hun-" Eaglewing mewed, Pepperfrost stopped him. "I know Eaglewing" she hissed, "oh um.. so-sorry" Eaglewing stuttered, "just, go talk to another cat if your so lonely, like maybe Ravenfeather, she cant even hunt till her legs heal" Pepperfrost suggested, and wandered off. Eaglewing let out a "hmph" and climbed upon the rock pile. "For this morning's hunt patrol, it will be lead by Pepperfrost, the cats on this patrol will be Tigerfoot, Windflight, and Firestorm!" he yowled. Pepperfrost hissed something under her breathe, before meeting up with the cats to go, giving Eaglewing a death stare before exiting the clan. Amberstar looked at his paws nervously before approaching Embersong, who had been chattering with Skypaw, "hey um.. Embersong can we go on a walk?" Amberstar asked nervously. Embersong nodded, "oh um, of course!" she nodded, she flicked her tail as a goodbye to Skypaw, and the young apprentice went off to talk with Hollypaw in the medicine cat den. As the two cats trekked through the forest Embersong admired every bit of it, "I've always loved hunting, but you never get time to really look at the beauties of the forest, y'know?" she grinned, running up to a tree and looking up at it, before dashing off to a log and pawing at some ants underneath it like a little kit. Amberstar chuckled, following the she-cat. He cleared his throat, "um, Embersong... I know we've known each other for a while.. and your so independent, so um.. would you like to be my mate? he asked, gently putting a paw over Embersong's. She chuckled, "why would I say no? your so brave and adventurous!" she smiled, shoving her nose against Amberstar's.
