Toffee stretched his paws calmly, his soft gaze looking at the misty cats around him blending into the fog. A deep puddle splashed his creamy forepaws as he stepped forward. "Tri'e of Endless Huntin'?" he asked himself softly as if it was a joke. "Go in 'at cave ov'r there? I mus' be mad!" he mumbled to himself. "'Elter from the rain will be good 'nough for me," he told himself. "Maybe 'ey can 'elp me find Amber an' Sugar again." he wondered. Squinting, the old tom forged a path through the wet, slushy snow to the gaping black hole that was to be his shelter for the night.

Wolf's ears twitched as footsteps echoed through the misty cave. As he sleepy eyes forced themselves open he noticed the cave's mouth could be seen from an angle where it just was like a grey mouth swallowing everything up. A shadow approached from the mouth of doom. "'Ell I'll be a mouse!" the shadow turned into a cat, squinting into the darkness. "Help!" Wolf howled, kicking his brother Soot. "Get off me!" the younger kit shrieked as Wolf nearly jumped on him in fright. "It's a monster!" Wolf cried. "What's goi-" Ash closed her mouth as soon as she saw the stranger approaching like a lost ghost. "Pardon, can ye 'elp me find a 'oungster by the name o' Amber?" Ash jumped. "Amber??" she gaped.
"Keep it down!" a nearby voice cried. Thankfully nobody had noticed this stray straying into camp, and Dawnteller was too far away to start nagging anyone as she investigated floods.
"I saw her a few moons ago-" Ash was interrupted again. "'Onderful! Tell me 'ere an' I wi' leave you in peace."

weather: the sun is shining! all of the snow has melted, though wet puddles cover large amounts of tribe territory. prey is abundant, as are other cats. predators, too, may be exploring - be wary!

"Spring!" Swan cried to the skies. "Why are you so happy?" Dawnteller asked unhappily. "The sun has come out! Birds are singing!" Swan purred in delight.
Meanwhile Sun sat by the entrance, staying silent with only his tail tip flicking. The tribe seemed to be looking forward to this time; now the sun could finally rise over the mountains with radiant beams of warmth. The to-bes were playing with the kits in a game of chase, the Haze-hunters thinking of they prey they could catch; while Dawnteller had just been observing quietly with a miserable manner. Swan had been looking up at the sun and watching Sun curiously when she had noticed Dawnteller perched on a few high rocks as if she wanted to get away.
"I prefer the snow." Dawnteller said feebly. She knew her argument was weak, as snow was still on the ground and probably would stay due to their mountain home's environment. What she really thought was- "We're in the mountains, Dawnteller. It will stay on the ground for the season." Swan said flatly. "Leave me alone, okay?!" the she-cat growled. Swan backed away quietly, accidentally bumping into Soot just as he was jumping over a jagged edge of flint.

"Ahh- Oww!" Soot squealed as his paw slid across the sharp flint jutting out of the ground, and fell back into a deep puddle of snow-slush and murky water. "Help!" Soot yowled, his big eyes deeply troubled. "Soot!" Ash gasped, running up to him. Wolf peered round curiously, before his eyes fell on Soot again, now standing up slowly and with difficulty; Wolf didn't speak, his pale yellow eyes wide with astonishment. Dawnteller jumped down from her perch on the rocks just above the kit and lead him away in her scruff, Ash following. "Hunting Patrol?" suggested Swan anxiously.

A pretty cream she-cat walked into the cave just as the haze-hunters departed, her eyes wide. "Father?" she called, her muzzle to the air. The scent was strong. Very strong. " 'Aughter?" came a reply. Suddenly a happy meow sounded from behind her. "Amber! You're 'ere!" he cried, running up to her. "Toffee!" she cried gleefully, her eyes bright with joy beyond description. "I'm so glad I could find you, father!" her father smiled a joyful smile, before hissing something. "Stay quiet, or that nosy mouse will get you! She's the owner of th' tribe, an' sh'll 'ave yer join 'her side, an'-" "Nosy Mouse?" cried a cold voice in front of them.
"Moon, who's this you found, and what are you saying?"

weather: it is sprinkling again, though most of the flood has receded. prey and other cats are abundant, and the weather is mild, making it easier for shorter-furred cats to explore the territory.

all of this was useless.
being the chosen one to lead an abandoned tribe was all completely useless when the ancestors guiding you were fools. two cats, a tom by the name of falcon that strikes bramble, and a she-cat called stream where pebbles shine, were what was left of the tribe of flooding waters. so they sent a message in dream form to a specific jungle cat. the cat, obviously, was intrigued by the idea of power, but now all of that seemed to fade away. she had spent many moons searching for the sacred waterfall, and only now had she found it. she was tired and the ancestors were useless.

the caves were empty.
once summoning up enough courage, she forced her way behind the pounding water of the falls. she was greeted with a dark tunnel that lay empty. many tunnels that lay empty. she assumed they held no surprises, so she chose the darkest one, and padded on until she saw light. she continued, and soon found the source of that light; a pool of glowing water. looking into the pool's depths, she saw ghostlike cats moving. stumbling backwards in surprise, she now knew that the tunnels weren't empty. they were haunted by members of the past tribe. they were ancestors. they had remained.

Weather
The snow has melted and the chance of greencough has dropped. Prey has slowly been coming out from leaf-bare snows, and newleaf is on its way. Queens can birth easier, To-Be's and Elders can go out more.

weather;; during spring, kittings will run much smoother and the chances of the queens or kits dying during birth will go down dramatically. there is also a higher chance of you catching more prey than usual. the chances of catching greencough, whitecough and kittencough will go down. with all the snow melting, it is very likely that your territory will start flooding. there will also be more storms that will contribute to the flooding. the odds of finding new cats is very high.

weather;; spring, known as freed-water among the tribes. snow and ice are beginning to melt, leaving a lot of puddles and raised waterlines. it's best if kits and to-bes stay away from riverbeds. prey and other cats are beginning to come out of hiding, and the chance that disasters happen during kittings decrease dramatically.

"Bat, play with your siblings!" Wind scolded her only tom-kit, as he turned away to play with Wolf. His bright blue eyes turned towards her with anger, his bushy black pelt bristled up angrily. Although he was still very young he bounced around like an older kit, only tripping over every now and then on his paws. Branch and Leaf only played with each other by playing a game of hide and seek, covering there faces with their paws as if they could not be seen. The nursery still stayed very quiet however, as it had been since Soot had left. Wolf refused to speak as much as he did before, and at every opportunity he bounded along to meet Soot again. Wolf's brother was recovering quickly though, and it wouldn't be long until he was back on his paws. Wind smiled to herself, only stopping when Bat carried on playing with Wolf. As she told Bat to stop she didn't notice Wolf sneaking off with Raccoon.

"Soot!" a small voice whispered. Soot lifted his head, his eyes cold. As his ears twitched warmth danced within his gaze. "It's me and Raccoon!" Wolf whispered again, coming closer so Soot could see his pelt. "We're going on a mission, remember?" Raccoon mumbled, "The animal Tribe!" Soot jumped up from his paws, only to fall down again as his paw hurt. "Rescue me? Stuck in the Fox's Lair is booring!" Soot groaned, wincing as he moved his injured forepaw into a position where it would not hurt.
"First I was a Nosy Mouse, now I'm a fox?"
a cold voice hissed behind them.
"Get out of my lair!"
