The sealeo avoids the attack and used ice beam on the frogadier spooked from the frogadier's past attack.. the sealeo was protecting fennekin, the Frogadier fled away..

They seem really sweet in protecting fennekin though.

"Would you like to join our team, little Sealeo?" Bastet asked, bending down to take a closer
look at the Sealeo. Fennekin squeaked, "Fennekin!" while jumping up and down in a happy
dance. She pulled out a pokeball and held it out in front of her.

Before Fieri can attack, the ratatta uses quick attack. Fieri goes straight for ember, knocking out the ratatta.

I cheer a bit as Fieri knocks out the ratatta. I pull Fieri back into his pokeball to rest and I send out Helioptile. "Go Neutron! Use thundershock!" I call out to Neutron. I eagerly watch to await the results.

Thundershock does 7 damage! The ratatta uses growl, lowering your pokemon's defense temporarily.

my eyes widened, as i retrieved the archen
into the pokéball. "what?! why would a trainer do such
a thing!" i was fuming by now. "they throw away their
companions, all for the fact that they're too 'weak'?
how could they even call themselves trainers!"
after i stopped talking, i inhaled, and thanked the nurse.
"thank you, nurse mary.." i smiled at her, and proceeded to
walk out. once i was out of the pokémon center, i released it from
the pokéball. "hello, little buddy." i smiled, and pet its head.
chester looked like he was getting a lil too jealous, so i turned to him
and said, "no matter what, chester, you'll always be my number one
pokémon!" i laughed as he jumped on my face, trying to hug me.
"hmm.." i put my hand on my chin and looked at the archen..
"ill call you..archer!" i smiled, "archer, i hope you and all of my
pokémon have fun! im going to put you back in the pokéball now,
okay?" i smiled whilst saying, "archer, return!". by the time i was
out of the pokémon center, i was headed towards route 3, in hopes
of meeting more pokémon, and possibly filling up the pokédex.

Finala fled the battle with sprout, not wanting to risk them fainting really since this was the first friend she's had since she left home.. leaving to a nearby pokecenter to heal up.
