i agree! there are professional drum corps and everything just like there are professional sports teams and there are very complicated, very hard competitions and tournaments just like there are championships in sports. (also, im biased, i was on the drum line in high school lol)
in the same vein, i think arts and music funding in schools should be just as prioritized as sports. most high schools fund sports exponentially more than they do their arts and music departments and i think that robs a lot of talented, passionate kids of knowledge, experience, and motivation to pursue their preferred hobbies/careers.
