》 This pack is located in Kolmanskop in Namibia, here is some background info on it:
This town was built in the early 1900s after diamonds were found plentiful in the area by a German worker. The town had a very German feel and featured a hospital, power station, I've facrory, ballroom, school, a casino and sports hall. It even had the first X-ray station in the Southern hemisphere.
It was abandoned when the diamonds became quite scarce and a far more richer source of diamonds were discovered, but is now a popular with tourists and photography. 《

》 The Territory 《

Their territory is sandy and generally humid. Though the sand is softer than most desert's. The buildings provide as dens and serve as protection from the heat of day. The territory has hidden prey like reptiles, rodents, birds, and so on. In order to get water, they break open cacti and dip deep into the sand, where water is buried.

》The Dogs 《
These dogs are strong and have a above average aggression, nothing to do with breeds, just how they are. It isnt uncommon for a fight or argument to break out between members, but major injuries are never done to pack members.They have ever lasting bonds with each other's, especially the females and mother and pups. Most aren't related with each other in blood but in mind they're family in some way.
This pack has a variety of breeds.

Instead of morning and grieving a death in the pack, they celebrate for the life that the dog lived. They beleive that celebrating a death will grant the deceased dog a happy afterlife.
They rarely find diamonds still, hidden deep within the sands, they believe that this grants luck, and lots of it.

Winter has blown a new chill into the air, quickly to work at layer
ing the grasses with frost and icing over countless water sources,
such as streams, ponds, and rivers.It wont be long before a storm
will rush-over and cover the landscape with crystal-white snow.

EARLY SPRING - it is finally here, a state in time where all seems calm and tranquil. spring may have arrived rather slowly, but
the land is just as overjoyed for at arrival. various types of flowers are blooming in the big sun which is now warming up the a
ir. it is still a bit chilly, but the staying out in the sun will surely help. animals known for hibernation are now stirring from thei
r months of slumber, this includes bears and other animals that may hold a potential threat. that is why it is necessary to keep
a watchful eye, no matter how blissful spring may be, there is always something there that hides behind the tranquility . . . . .

→ while out hunting, kronos brings back x1 hare. he nearly caught x1 vole also, but it managed to escape as soon as he managed to get a hold of it.
↳ while he was in the middle of the hunting rally, kronos catches glimpse of a creature of reddish color. out of plain curiosity, he makes the decision
of investigating. seemingly, the more he got closer to other being, their scent of mud and murky water, it appears to pick up its pace. soon enough,,
this little investigation ends up turning into a chase as the great dane races through the thick brush that was becoming more lively after spring's late
arrival. they are suddenly walking atop rocky terrain when the latter ends up tripping and falls down the cliff but luckily lands on another crag. turn
s out that this being was, in fact, another dog -- a tosa inu. they didn't get up as soon as they fell down, their breathing perhaps shallow from the ru
n. taking a closer loo at them, kronos can make out a small gash on their right side, blood is slowly trickling out of the wound... should he take the
m back or leave them for dead?

→ kronos has successfully patrolled the southern border, which seems to have barely any activity whatsoever. though something had been found ....
↳ krono's patrol was uneventful at first as most patrols would be, though as he climbed atop high ground he catches sight of two canine figures walk
ing up towards him with wariness in their step. they stopped at a safe distance, head bowing in submissiveness as they took in his appearance... bot
h of them are korean jindos, one looks to be around the age of an elder and the other is youthful, like kronos. the older jindo's ears press against he
r head as she manages to maintain a defensive posture. ".. greetings, will you please take daughter into your care?" she asks out of the blue. the you
nger jindo, the daughter, looks up at her confused and surprised, but she does not say anything else in reply. "i've heard stories about your kind, you'
re of the greaven empire." this leaves kronos in confusion, very few dogs know of the empire but apparently this old soul is very aware about them..
how could she tell he was one of them? before he could respond, the elder was already nearly gone, quite a distance away as her daughter watched
her leave anxiously. after she was gone, the other jindo turned to look at him before saying, "so may i stay?"

→ since spring has arrived, ionna was able to find x1 dock, x1 honey and x2 cobwebs while out in the grove. there is also something else there . . .
↳ the grove was peaceful as it should be. butterflies flew all around in a dizzy flight, the flowers began to open up and rise up toward the sun,, the
area appeared more brighter than anywhere else as well. though as she begins to head back that day as the sun was beginning to came down in the
horizon, ionna stops in her tracks as she hears rather loud whimpering coming from out of the thick brush. the whines seem high pitched, making io
nna come to the conclusion that it might be young pups. she goes over to investigate and just her luck,, three puppies barely above the age of a mo
on squirm against each other in a nest. they smell of afterbirth, meaning that they could have been born just a while ago, but the mother is no whe
re in sight and probably hadn't return ever since the early morning. who would leave their puppies out for such a long time? were they abandoned???
should ionna take them into their care or leave them for the coyotes?

→ haelen's health seems to be stabilizing fairly, but he isn't healing fast enough as said by ionna. it will take one more moon of time, he'll make it...




→ while out hunting, andromeda and radjah bring back x1 eurasian wren from the redwood forest. they also find something rather interesting . . . .
↳ just as they manage to catch the eurasian wren, radjah and andromeda come across a dog and their mate, both being dogo argentinos. after a mom
ent of hostility from the dawnguards, the pair simply ask for a place to stay for a while, possibly they'd want to live with the dawnguards? their reason
as to why they want to stay, turns out the dog's mate is pregnant and will whelp in two moons of time...... they say they have been traveling for quite
a while, ever since late winter, and desperately need a place to stay so that their puppies will be safe and free from harm. will they be accepted or sh
all they leave them on their own?

→ while out hunting alone, andromeda manages to find x2 field mice hiding in the underground subway. why are field mice doing there? who knows ...
↳ just as andromeda was about to head back, she stumbles across a german shepherd with a luxurious white coat. they say they have been living in the
underground subway too long for them to remember, pleading to go with andromeda after recognizing the scent of other dogs besides her. should she a
ccept their request, leave them be or chase them out of the subway? for some strange reason, the dog appears to not only taken an interest in the ken
nel, but also her themselves.

→ the gods have appeared to have heard asteria's wish, perhaps chattering with each other beyond the clouds about her request. they have decided to
sent her the overseer she so desires, a belgian tervuren. the gods will not take any more requests in a two moon period of time, they'll have to wait ...

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐋𝐒
every world needs its protectors. the world of feral dogs is no different- living day to day, trying to survive against all odds. once upon a time, the sentinels were a proud order that stretched along the entire world. but as time went on, dogs became proud and foolish. fighting drove the sentinels away, as the other packs felt they did not need them. slowly but surely, the order disbanded, regional packs splintering and forgetting their past. but some dogs are not capable of forgetting. the last sentinels watch, and they wait. the world may not think it needs protecting anymore, but those who remain know that soon enough, their services will be needed again.

𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘
the last sentinels reside in the taiga. life is harsh here, with extreme seasons in the woodlands. during the warm season, prey is still scarce, but their territory is vast. during the cold season, they are plagued by heavy snow-fall and oftentimes blizzard, but the hardy dogs who live here make do. their territory stretches in a vast expanse. to the north, the territory stops at the foothills of the mountains. this is where the leaders of the sentinels once gathered in the cave of many voices to speak with their ancestors and discuss the future of the order. today, the last leader still convenes with the ancestors to ask for guidance. to the east, a human loud-thing destroyed some of the trees, and lays sitting as a monumental reminder of the dangers beyond. to the west, a river cuts through the territory. it is dangerous to cross anywhere apart from near the south-west border, where long ago humans built a crossing. there are some areas where the current is weaker where the dogs occasionally fish. finally, to the south, the taiga becomes tundra. the last sentinels do not cross this border unless it is absolutely necessary. their camp is relatively close to the western border, in the ruins of a large human camp. no human has been there for years, and the structures make good shelter against the cold.

in this territory, the sentinels mostly hunt relatively small prey, such as hares, birds of both large and small variety, the occasional rabbit, sometimes fish, and if they are very lucky, deer or elk that pass through. the sentinels do not face many predators, but the predators they do face are mighty. the sentinels have encountered bears in the past, compete with wolves, and occasionally come across humans who come to study the rocks in their territory. while their existence is mostly peaceful, the sentinels are always prepared for these encounters with such formidable opponents, especially during the cold months.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐎𝐆𝐒
the sentinels are mostly comprised of very large dogs, who are hardy and tough enough to survive the harsh weather. short-furred dogs are relatively uncommon, although there are some who have adapted. primarily, the dogs are medium to large in size, with thick or long coats to protect against the winter. they have a reputation for being very serious and somewhat standoffish, but the sentinels value loyalty and kindness above all else. they are the first to come to the aide of a dog in need, and especially to help packs that they have allied with. the sentinels are disciplined and strict, and can sometimes be hard to get along with as they tend to be somewhat suspicious of outside influences. they believe in justice and fairness, and as such they have no qualms against withdrawing from an alliance, if they feel that the ally pack is being unjust. the sentinels are aware of their strength as their greatest asset, and refuse to allow other packs to use their virtue for evil.

𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒

• the sentinels were founded for the primary function of being elite warriors. the leader of the sentinels is known as the captain, who is succeeded by their regent. the elders of the pack retire to become the council, who advise the leader and the regent on their decisions. after the council comes the healer - the pack's resident medic. after them are the champions, the most elite of the sentinels. sentinels who care for pups are referred to simply as nurses, and those who are in the nursery are simply mothers for a short time. pups begin training when they are six moons old, as legacies, symbolic of their place as the future of the pack. once they are twelve moons old, they must pass their test to become a full sentinel.
  
• the test of faith is comprised of two elements: legacies must spend one moon surviving on their own in the territory beyond the loud-thing to the east. during this time, they must bring an offering of peace to tappituk, an old she-wolf matriarch who is an ally of the pack, and who will teach the legacy the final lessons necessary to become a sentinel. upon their return, the healer will divine the gods' intentions for the legacy, and will give them their marks accordingly. after this, they will perform a tanet- a ritual spar-like dance with their mentor and the leader, before sitting vigil in the campsite for a night.
• the sentinels believe in three deities- silatsuak, who they believe is the protector of the earth and the patron of war, protection and birth; nebo, who is the god of the sky, luck, rationality and death; and tagiuk, goddess of the sea, boundaries, travel and fertility. they also believe that the pantheon represents the three essential elements: body, mind and spirit, respectively.
• the sentinels can be identified by the markings that they wear, which the healer creates by making dye from natural resources around the territory. these marks are all symbolic, and the sentinels are happy to explain them if they are asked about them. the marks are given once a sentinel becomes a full member of the pack, and an additional marking is given when they become leader, regent or a council member. they also wear 'war paint' when heading into battle.
• champions are selected by placing as the top three during the changeover tournaments. these tournaments occur in the first week of the new season, where all members of the pack spar. the purpose of this is for training and to keep in shape, and dogs get to choose which war paint they would like to decorate themselves with. there is even a special division for pups, and for legacies so that they can participate too. the rounds are often punctuated by tanets.

Hayes had been busy as the hunting sargent. Organizing patrols, going on night hunts, making sure dangerous prey didn't get into the camp, inspecting prey for any possible poisons. It was rough work, but he made a promise to Nike. He would never give up, no matter how much Mako was on his tail. The dingo had no idea what the admiral's problem was. Mako always shot him angry and warning death stares and wouldn't hesitate to let Hayes know if he did anything wrong. It annoyed the hunter more than anything. He didn't know how Nike hadn't noticed, but he didn't care. Mako didn't intimidate him. Now, Hayes was returning from one of his many hunting outings. He carried nothing with him, but he had scented a feint trace of goat a short distance away from the camp. He padded down the open tunnel, blocking the sunlight and casting a long shadow in front of him. As he emerged into the open camp, he was instantly greeted by Clint. The young german shepherd was hellbent on becoming a hunter, even though his mentor was part of the battalion. Hayes had agreed to give the young dog extra hunting practice, as long as Nike and Granite approved, which they both did. Clint was almost a full member of the pack, he'd be taking his assessment next moon, and had been begging Hayes to take him out already. "Well?" the cadet asked "Can we do it today?" Hayes sighed and chuckled tiredly. He had been out since dawn, and it was about to be noon. He was exhausted, but he wouldn't go back on his promise to the pup. He nodded. "Yes, we can, just let me report to Nike first and we can go. If you haven't eaten yet, we'll catch something while we're out." Clint shook with excitement. He nodded vigorously and beamed at Hayes, sitting down and waiting patiently. The hunting sargent padded swiftly to where Nike and Mako were conversing. "All I'm saying," Mako sighed "is that we should keep a close eye on them. You never know what they could be plotting." Nike lashed her tail. "Don't be ridiculous, Mako, there's no way they could mean any harm-" She growled, then looked up to see Hayes approaching her. Her face brightened and her slight frown turned into a warm smile. "Hayes! You're back!" She said happily "How was it?" Hayes smiled at her tone. She was always happy to see him. Mako crinkled his nose. "I see you didn't catch anything again." He sneered. Hayes flicked an ear and squinted his eyes at Mako. "There wasn't much to catch." He said pointedly "Especially when there's only one of me and it's winter. Even if it is the end, prey's still scarce, mate." Mako grumbled something that Hayes didn't hear, he was too focused on Nike. "Did you scent any more goats?" She asked curiously. The hunetr nodded "Yea, I sniffed out a trail leading in the direction of the mountains. It's a few days old, though, and probably not worth following." Nike nodded and continued, "Anything else?" Hayes shook his head. "I' m taking Clint out to hunt, if that's alright." Nike smiled. "Of course. Have fun!"

Clint and Hayes walked quietly through the snow-dusted dead grass. The usually warm climate the Underdogs lived in was taken over by this year's winter. Trees were frostbitten and all of the grass was brittle and brown. Clint cleared his throat. "Hayes?" He started quietly. The large dingo looked down at his companion. "Yes?" Clint heaved a deep breath. "I wanted to ask you something." The two stopped and Clint's eyes were glued to his paws. "I was wondering if you could help me with River. She's a truly amazing dog and I really like her. I want her to be my mate once we pass our assessment." Hayes blinked in surprise. Clint wasn't young, but he still had many moons to decide on a mate. "That's great! What do you need help with?" He smiled. The cadet flattened his ears and looked up. "The thing is, I'm not sure if she shares my feelings. We've been friends since we were pups. We grew up together. I don't want my feelings to get in the way of our friendship. Besides, she might have feelings for someone else, I'm not sure." Hayes raised an eyebrow. "Who else would she like? You're the only dog in the kennel close to her age. Well, besides Chase, but he and Tundra are...pretty close." Clint sighed. "I'm not sure. She talks highly of Iving, but I'm pretty sure she thinks of him as a brother figure. I dunno. They share meals every now and then. But what if another dog better than me joins the kennel before I have the chance to confess my feelings?" Hayes shrugged. "Guess you just have to take a shot. If she doesn't like you, then you can move on and remain friends. But if she does, you can be happy together. It's a win-win situation." He smiled. Clint looked grimly at the older dog. "And if she rejects me and goes wild and breaks off our friendship?" Hayes clenched his jaw. "It's a risk, sure. But without risks, we wouldn't have the rewards." His words seemed to lighten the young dog's heart. Clint smiled and nodded. "Yea, I'll tell her after our assessment next moon! That way I have some time to think of what I want to say. Thanks, Hayes! I knew you'd be able to help me!" Hayes smiled and chuckled. "Why me? Why not Ontario, or Granite, or a dog who actually has a mate?" Clint just looked slyly at him. "Because you're in the same position. With Nike. I know you like her, it's fairly obvious. And you two are close friends, right? Probably why Mako is so intimidated by you. You have a better chance with her than he does." Hayes' eyes widened and he swallowed the lump rising in his throat. "L-let's keep walking. There's a rabbit warren a bit further." Clint chuckled and followed. Hayes walked quickly, thinking about whether or not Clint's words were true. Surprisingly, they were.

about. the queensguard was started by a remarkably stubborn purebred female that had been
separated from her owners during a flood. fleeing to higher ground, the female began to rule
over others that had been misplaced by their families. now, the queensguard is a noble and
matriarchal kennel comprised of courageous and slightly snobbish canines.

territory. the queensguard has situated themselves within the foothills of a mountain, with
plenty of grasses and trees to hunt around. there are many small flowering bushes around
the central camp, perfect the small to moderately sized dogs that frequent the area. the
central camp is located within a a small copse of trees, where the roots expose great little
dens for the dogs to sleep in.
--- common prey types include: rabbits, field mice, low-flying or ground-nesting birds
--- more ambitious dogs hunt: garden snakes, lizards, young deer

characteristics. most of the queensguard consists of show dog types, small to moderately
sized dogs with the occasional giant sprinkled in. more common dog breeds include the
american water spaniel, the biewer terrier, the boykin spaniel, the cavalier king charles
spaniel and the brittany. more uncommon breeds include the cesky terrier, the chinese
crested dog, the papillon, the peruvian incan orchid, the pomeranian and the whippet.
rare breeds include the keeshond, the german short-haired pointer, the gordan setter
and the chinese shar-pei
--- common traits within the queensguard: courage, diligence, vanity, self-indulgence

traditions. the queensguard is supremely matriarchal - higher ranks are almost always
filled by able-bodied females if possible. this is not to say that male canines are treated
unfairly - quite the opposite, actually. males are the only members allowed to participate
in the queen's rally, a monthly tournament that allows competing members to show off
their stamina, speed and strength. usually, only younger members compete to gain a bit
of credibility within the group. those that win these smaller competitions will gain custom
titles that hold no rank, but distinguish the entitled dog from the rest of the group.
