I hope I’m not too late to the game here, this looks really interesting!

My Clan is ElmClan. They live in the mountains of Utah, therefor their climate is very hot and dry with little to no rainfall. However, when rain does fall, there is normally some flooding since their camp is on a slope of a hill. They have spread out, dry bushes and trees.

ElmClan cats are known for their speed and agility. They need to be able to outrun predators and climb steep hills quickly. They have long, hooked claws and normally brown-ish pelts (however due to rogue DNA that has been prevalent lately, there are several cats with white, black, silver and even blue-gray pelts.) They are smart and witty, strategizing every plan and patrol.

The most notable landmark is the large river that runs along ElmClan’s southern border. It is their main source of water and is almost always full. It leads to a two-leg dam and even contains a select amount of fish.

quartzclan territory consists of mountains and forests. within the center of the clan is a large mountain. the sides of the mountain have a few different parts to them. the northern side of the mountain is rocky. the ground is loose and dangerous to be on. rocks can easily slide out from under a cats' paws ,, sending one tumbling down the mountain side. snakes hide within the crevasses of the rocks ,, ready to lash out and bit anything that comes too close to them. but also living along the northern side of the mountain are small rodents. one can try their luck to catch a mouse or vole ,, but it is recommended that all cats steer clear of the rockies. off to the west and east the mountain is nothing special. trees grow tall into the sky ,, streams flow through the terrain ,, and all types of creatures can be found. to the southern area of the mountain a waterfall cascades down the side. this side of the mountain is a little more steep than all of the other sides ,, but it is a great place to find herbs. all over the mountain are entrances to a cave system that tunnels throughout the mountain. all entrances eventually meet in a central area where the star cut as well as tumbled cut meet. throughout the tunnels and caves stones line the walls and ceiling ,, some lighting the paths. the central cave ,, as the cats call it ,, is full of many different gems. a hole within the ceiling allows for moonlight to fall into the cave ,, hitting one of the gems ,, a moonstone ,, making it glow. the gem is a large white stone that sits in the middle of the cave ,, and when a cat touches noses with the stone they will meet quartzclan ancestors. moving on from the tunnels ,, at the bottom of the mountain the waterfall pools into a large pond ,, a great place for hunting frogs. the base of the mountain is a forest. there are a few clearings that are good for training mixed cut. after heavy rainfall or once snow begins to melt ,, some parts of the land begins to flood ,, and walking down the mountain side becomes dangerous. once the forest begins to thin out and enters open spaces ,, then quartzclans territory ends.

quartzclans camp sits in one of the larger caves. its entrance isn't very visible ,, for vines fall down over the entrance. the camp is on the western side of the mountain. within the cave a small stream snakes across the ground ,, cutting the camp into two sections diagonally. to the left of the camp is the star cuts den. the star cuts den is under an overhang ,, where the star cut addresses the clan. the den is accessible by a tunnel. within the den are a few crystals. on this left side of the cave is the fresh kill pile as well. off to the right of the leaders den is a tunnel that leads to the tapered cut den. within this den are lesser crystals ,, so it is much dimmer within the den. on the opposite side of the stream are the marquise dens. two tunnels lead into a smaller but still quite large cave. the ceiling is much lower ,, and in the ground are indents where nests go. crystals and gems stick out of the walls. back out into the camp there is another over hang above the marquise den. a sort of pathway leads up to this over hang. two more tunnels lead into the mixed cuts den. the den is much like the marquise cut den. on the far back wall is the tumbled cuts den and princess cuts den. the two dens sit side by side ,, a tunnel leading into each. the two dens are also connected from within by a tunnel. vines fall down this back wall ,, thus the entrances are both covered by vines. each of the dens are dimmer ,, having fewer crystals. within the tumbled cuts den are three sections. there is the main area where the den connects to the princess cuts den. a back section leads to where all the herbs are stored. off to the left of the main area is a tunnel that leads to where sick and injure cats reside during their time of healing.

mouse ;; the mouse is one of the most common type of prey within quartzclan. they roam all over the mountain side and forest.
squirrel ;; many squirrels roam the forest ,, they're easy to hunt and easy to catch.

frogs ;; different types of frogs can be found near streams and the pond. they a little more uncommon than the mouse and squirrel ,, but frogs are still abundant.
hares ;; different types of hares can be found near the thinning trees by the boarders of quartzclan ,, but they are tough to catch since they're so fast.

eagles ;; eagles are quite rare to catch ,, and are quite dangerous to attempt to catch.
hedgehogs ;; hedgehogs are extreamly rare ,, but they can be found in forests. not many roam inside of quartzclans territory ,, but it is almost a cause for celebration if a cat manages to catch one.

the names of the ranks are inspired by the different types of cuts gemstones can be given. it took me forever to even decide to use gemstone cuts as ranks >-< i went through too many ideas.

star cut [leader] ;; the star cut is the leader of the clan. the star cut is highly respected by all.

step cut [deputy] ;; the step cut is the cat who will success the star cut. they too are highly respected.

tumbled cut [medicine cat] ;; the tumbled cut are the cats who heal the injured and ill.

marquise cut [warriors] ;; the marquise cut hunt for and protect the clan.

mixed cut [apprentices] ;; mixed cuts are young cats who will soon become marquise cuts.

princess cut [queens] ;; princess cuts are females who are about to have kits or who have already had kits and are recovering.

beads [kits] ;; beads are kits who are not yet old enough to become mixed cuts.

tapered cut [elders] ;; tapered cut are the old cats who have already served their clan.

naming of a marquise cut ;; once a mixed cut has finished all of their training and are at least twelve moons old ,, then the step cut will address the clan with ,, i ,, name ,, sit before the cats of quartzclan. on this day i bring forth a new marquise cut. name ,, please step forward. name ,, you have proven yourself to be trait ,, trait ,, and trait. name ,, i announce that you are now a marquise cut. the star cut will jump from the ledge and press their forehead against the marquise cuts head. after being named a marquise cut the new marquise cut must make the journey to earn their gemstone. i will write more about that below.

naming of a mixed cut ;; once a bead has reached the age of six moons then they will become a mixed cut. the star cut will address the clan with ,, i ,, name ,, sit before the cats of quartzclan. on this day i bring forth a new mixed cut. name ,, please step forward. name ,, you have only been with us for a short while ,, but i am happy to announce that you are now a mixed cut. the star cut will jump from the ledge and press their forehead against the marquise cuts head.

finding of a gemstone ;; the finding of a gemstone happens when a new marquise cut is named. after being named the new marquise cut will head into the crystal tunnels. they must find their way to the crystal cave. once at the crystal cave the marquise cut will touch their nose to the moonstone. the marquise cut will meet with an ancestral star cut ,, who will then give them their gem. the marquise cut will then wake up and within the crystal cave. they must find the gem they were given. a gem is decided by a cats characteristics. if a cat is strong willed then they will probably be given a strong gem ,, if a cat is weak then they will be given a weak gem ,, if a cat is always happy then they will have a bright gem ,, if a cat is pessimistic then they will be given a dark colored gem. many factors help decide what a cats gem is. once a cat has their gem they will make their way back to camp. there the cats are given what seem to be collars ,, but they're not collars. it is a weaved necklace type made from vines ,, and it the vines will be tied around the marquise cuts gem ,, which then the marquise cut will wear.

burial of a quartz ;; if a cat dies then the star cut will stand atop the overhang and address the clan. the star cut will say ,, on this day i am saddened to say that we have lost a quartz. name was trait ,, trait ,, and trait. they were a valued member of the clan. let us hope the find the way to the stars peacefully. the star will jump down and rest their head atop the cats head ,, family and friends of the cat will do the same. for the rest of the night the family of the cat must keep a silent vigil. the body will be buried at the bottom of the mountain. the cat will be buried with their gemstone. if a star cut dies then a tumbled cut will address the clan.

the cats of quartzclan come in all sorts of varieties ,, such as the gemstones that they wear. the cats can have any fur color or fur pattern ,, their eye colors do tend to be brighter though. the cats can have a big or small build ,, long fur or short fur ,, even no fur! most cats of quartzclan are kind and easy going. the cats aren't much of fighters ,, but if a battle ensues then they won't go down without a fight. they're more passive and would much rather talk disputes out rather than have blood spilled. the cats of quartzclan are quite intuitive and inventive. the cats are quite independent of other clans ,, and will only make allies if it's in their best interest. quartzclan cats are also helpful. if another clan is in need then quartzclan may help that clan out.

Hello! My clan's name is CloudClan they which their territory is mainly mountain range. There are mainly rocks at the top of the smallest mountain is where the clan's camp is but the bottom is covered in thick woodland filled with pine trees. It is very cold in camp during leaf-bare and the prey are usually at the bottom of the range where the pines are during this time. Hawks and foxes are usually a problem for the clan as hawks can swoop down from the air and the foxes are usually in the woodland. Greenleaf is where the territory is filled with prey but more predators come out during this period. There are no twoleg nests in sight luckily for them other than an abandon shack near the bottom of the mountain. Birds, squirrels and hares are the most common prey the clan catches.

Cloudclan are usually quick on their feet and great climbers which enables them to survive in the mountains. They don't really like other cats from the outside and rather keep their territory for themselves as they are greedy when it comes to owning territory and will try to forcefully own as much territory as possible.

Cloudpaw sorted through herbs as Splashpelt went to check on Foxkit and Honeysplash, who had both been struggling since the queen had kitted two moons ago. The Medicine Cat was sure that Honeysplash would make a steady recovery, but she was still worried over the tiny orange tom kit that lay weak by his mothers side, rarely strong enough to walk more than a few pawsteps. Usually kits were begging to leave the Nursery by this time, but Foxkit hadn't the strength, and Cloudpaw could see the toll it took on her mentor. Still, she knew that becoming the Medicine Cat Apprentice was a wise choice, and Splashpelt needed her now more than ever.
The cream colored she-cat flicked her ears as Olivestar walked into the den, greeting her warmly. At first, the apprentice had been nervous around the leader, but during the past moon Olivestar had gotten ill and needed to spend most of her time in the Medicine Cat Den, allowing the two of them to build a steady friendship. Though, Cloudpaw had noticed that this friendship extended much farther towards Splashpelt, and it was easy to see that the two she-cats had a very close bond. "Hello Olivestar, how are you feeling today? Splashpelt went to go check on Foxkit and Honeysplash." She meowed softly, receiving a grateful nod as the leader turned around and padded out of the den.
Cloudpaw turned to sort through her herbs again when a sudden yowl of alarm rang through the camp, sending shivers up and down her fur. Rushing out of the Medicine Cat's Den, she spotted Fogfall and Jayfrost carrying two cats over their backs, and Adderfang bringing up the rear. All of them were covered in blood, and her stomach tightened as she saw a tiny white and orange she-cat hanging limply from Fogfall's back. Tawnypaw!
"Come into the Medicine Cat's Den, quickly! Cloudpaw, grab as many cobwebs as you can!" Splashpelt's voice rang clear as she exited the Medicine Cat's Den and moved to Adderfang's side, supporting him with her weight as they came into the herb-scented den. Cloudpaw had wads of cobwebs wrapped around her paws by the time all of the cats entered the den, slumping to the ground. "Cloudpaw, put some cobwebs on Adderfang, as well as marigold. Quickly." The cream she-cat nodded fearfully, turning towards the black and white tom and pausing to look at the large gash in his side as Splashpelt continued to speak. "Fogfall, bring me some wet moss and use some of it to clean your cuts. Give the rest to Tawnypaw and Hawkfire." Hawkfire.. so that's who the other cat was. StarClan please let Tawnypaw be alright. Cloudpaw's thoughts were buzzing as she applied the marigold to Adderfang's wound, relief washing over her as she could see the tom slump with ease as the pain lessened. Quickly, she undid some of the cobwebs on her paws and plastered it over his wound, directing him over to one of the mossy nests. "Stay here."
"Fogfall, Jayfrost, if you aren't in need of any herbs please exit the den. I'm sure Olivestar will want to know what happened immediately." Splashpelt worked as she spoke, beckoning for Cloudpaw to come closer. The apprentice realized that since entering the den, Tawnypaw hadn't been receiving as much attention as Hawkfire, whose breathing was slow and ragged with pain. She looked down at him for a few moments until the breathing came to a stop, his pelt fluttering as life escaped him. Suddenly, it seemed to hit her.
"Tawnypaw?"
Moving over to sit beside her sister, Cloudpaw ran her tail along Tawnypaw's bloodied flank to feel for any sign of breathing. As she feared, there was none. "Oh StarClan no.." Her voice was a whimper as she knelt down and pressed her nose into Tawnypaw's neck for a few moments, then pulling away to look at Splashpelt's sad eyes. "Sometimes a cat is meant to only be with us for a short period of time, and no amount of training can help. Thank you for tending to Adderfang so quickly, I don't know how he would have ended up without you giving him all your focus. Come now, Larksong will want some time alone with her son when she hears what has happened." The black and white she-cat said quietly, and Cloudpaw winced, remembering how Larksong had just lost a litter a few moons ago. That was her second miscarriage too..she's known so much grief.
"I cant. Tawnypaw didn't have a family other than me. We grew up in the Nursery together..we were best friends. I need to stay with her." Cloudpaw tried to stay as composed as she could, and her mentor nodded understandingly. "Of course, take your time to mourn."
The cream apprentice then moved Tawnypaw's body to the back of the den, into her own nest, and mournfully used wet moss to clean the blood from her fur. She raised her head as a heartshattering cry rang through the camp, and watched sadly as Larksong and Mooseheart ran inside the den towards their dead son, followed by Clovertail and Smokeflame. The image gave grief to Cloudpaw, and she vaguely heard Hawkfire's siblings talking about a rogue attack that had occurred earlier in the day.
Cloudpaw stared at Clovertail and Smokeflame in heartbreak, wishing she had other siblings to comfort her in this time. Without Tawnypaw, she was alone. Letting out a small, choked sob, she laid down and wrapped her tail around her sister, burrowing her face into ginger and white fur. StarClan, why must you punish me?

The calico she-cat rushed into camp, a large fish hanging from her jaws as she made her way to the fresh kill pile and set it down, amber eyes scanning each cat until they landed on a large gray tom. "Fogfall!" She cried out, heading towards him with a worried purr. His fur was covered in cuts, but nothing seemed too serious. Thank StarClan! "What happened?" She looked to Olivestar and Splashpelt for answers, but it was Jayfrost who spoke. "Rogues. We took a patrol to investigate the scent of rogues nearby, thinking perhaps they wanted to join PebbleClan. We were very wrong. We managed to chase them off for now. Tawnypaw and Hawkfire didn't make it, but their families are with them now." He said solemnly, looking to Olivestar. "We will let them mourn until sunhigh, and then they will be buried. For now, both of you should be getting rest. Splashpelt, check up on Adderfang often, we don't want his wounds getting infected. I'll go ask Petalbreeze to keep a close eye on Honeysong, she can report to you if anything goes wrong."
As the cats dispersed, Appleblossom was left beside Fogfall, who regarded her warmly. "I told you I would be back in one piece. StarClan can't have me today." He said with a light grin, but it wavered with the harsh realities of the battle he had just fought. "Why don't we take a small walk? I don't want to be in camp right now, it's too depressing." He offered, and the calico she-cat nodded, walking beside him as they walked through the camp exit.

She looked up at him then, eyes full of surprise and hope. "To me?" Her words were just a whisper as she looked up at him. "Yes, to you. Appleblossom, you mean the world to me. I couldn't imagine being anywhere without you. I love you deeply." He meowed, pressing his cheek against hers.
"I've been waiting so long to hear those words."

In a shadowy forest far to the north lies a clan different from most. The cats of Deerclan believe that deers are sacred, and as such they will never attack one. During the winter season, Deerclan apprentices will go into the forest and collect the fallen horns and use them to decorate the camp. Horns are also used in ceremonies, an apprentice must prick their paw on the point of the great horn, which is the biggest horn in the camp, and let their blood spill on the ground to prove their loyalty. To become a warrior, they must use the horns to create a barrier around the camp, to keep it safe from harm. This is to test their minds. They must find a group of deer and bring back a tuft of fur. This is to test their tracking. They must use vines to attach bits of horns to their paws and hunt down a squirrel. This is to test their battle prowess.

When attacking another clan, or some other opponent, the warriors of Deerclan will use the collected horns and tie them to their forepaws, giving them extra claws.

The cats of Deerclan often have brown pelts of any shade, light to dark, much like deers. However black or orange cats are not that uncommon. The rarest pelts are white and yellow.

Falconwatcher lowered into a crouch, his eyes fixed on the rabbit, grazing calmly at the edge of the cliff. It was a risky leap, but he knew he could make it. Gathering himself, he pounced, flying through the air, the image of wild perfection, landing centimeters in front of the rabbit and biting quickly, snapping its neck. Content with his kill, he bent to pick it up, but it was not to be. A huge weight slammed into his side, sending him flying. A scream escaped him and he twisted, staring up at the dark face of his betrayer. In that split second, he recognized the face and the name was torn from his lips, a stab of betrayal jolting through him as he fell. The cat grinned wickedly, snatching up the rabbit and throwing it after him, it’s carcass tumbling through the air, the last thing he saw before pain devoured his being and darkness stole his sight.

“leksa kom trikru. you’re the one who got your entire people killed.” clarke said stiffly, rolling her shoulders in the water. “i’m the one who will bring them back together.”
“clarke kom… nowhere. or should i call you wanheda? it’s what they’re calling you in the woods now. you’re the one who isolated, burned, and murdered three hundred skaikru.” lexa commented, her voice flat and unimpressed. “jus drein jus daun. they kill finn, jake, and your mother and you kill three hundred of them.”
clarke paused, her eyes narrowed and body cold. she stepped out of the stream and sighed, brushing past lexa with soaking fur, enveloping the gray and white molly with water. “what do you want, lexa?”
“you’re not a nightblood. you mock our ancestry and religion.” she pointed out bluntly, sighing loudly. “but trikru has fallen, because of me. and though i’m a nightblood, i am not a cat that others would follow. but you are wanheda. the commander of death. you inspire warriors, and you could be a leader.” clarke scrutinized lexa as she spoke, eyeing her with a suspicious glint in her eyes. “i’m going to help you ascend.” lexa finished, walking past her, her downy fur colliding with clarke’s sleek, short pelt, and leading her away from the stream.

wanheda’s ear twitched at the new kitten noises outside of her den, her pelt rippling in anticipation. new kits meant new warriors, but she couldn’t ignore the fact that diamond’s kits were half clan. they were frikdriena, and would train with skai, and they would always be outcasts. sonya’s kits were smaller, weaker than diamond’s, but their blood was pure. sonya was not a nightblood, but it was possible that her kits had been gifted by the maunon, chosen to compete in a conclave for the right to become the next commander. she thought of her second, onya, and sighed softly, shifting uncomfortably. if sonya’s kits were natblidas, she would have to fight her kin to the death.
“laik yu okay?” lexa asked, pressing closer to wanheda’s fur, fighting off the wind that drifted through the hollow. “i can tell when you’re worried, you move a lot.”
“kits are a lot of responsibility, and they’re not even mine.” she admitted, resting her chin on top of lexa’s head. “jake was a lot like his father, and it killed them. dying a warrior’s death is honorable, but rolling over to die…” clarke trailed off, her gaze shadowing with sorrow. “it seems unfair that i lost them, that way. finn attacked innocents, and killed sixteen, but i still would have fought beside him. but he gave himself up, and worse; he brought our son into the mess. they both suffered for finn’s crimes.” closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, she anxiously kneaded the ground. “but they were never my family, they were… my blood, not my soul. you are my soul. you are everything i’ve ever needed.” she reassured the molly, feeling guilty for discussing her ex-mate.
lexa purred and groomed clarke’s shoulder fur, her tail entwined with her mate’s. “finn and jake will always be apart of you, but they are gone. they would be proud of how far you’ve come.”
"i know." she sighed and rolled over onto her belly, beckoning with her paws for lexa to join her side. "i'm going to pardon diamond's litter. they will be progeny, not wastelanders. we need more warriors, and they were conceived before the clan started." she turned her head and pressed her nose against lexa's cheek, waiting for her approval.
"it will unite the clan further." her mate conceded, resting her forearm over wanheda's side. the commander pulled away from lexa, standing up and shaking out her pelt.
"i have to go talk with onya." dipping her head and licking lexa's cheek, the spotted molly exited the hollow and made her way to onya, who was cooing at the nursery entrance. "onya, walk with me." wanheda requested, watching curiously as her second forced herself away from the nursery with a disappointed mien plastered on her face. "i need you to train diamond's kits." she said slowly.
"but they're wastelanders." onya protested, her eyes narrowed slightly.
"no, they're not. i've pardoned them." wanheda murmured, stepping outside of the camp and soaking in the sun and enjoying soft breeze that tickled her fur.
"so pardon skai and let me train her." onya begged, stepping in front of the commander. "she's strong. she's already made her first kill, and yesterday, she had a mouse. a real, live mouse. she's a moon before becoming a second but she's already smarter, swifter, and stealthier than gona."
"very well. you may train her. but i won't pardon her." wanheda leaned over her apprentice, a warning in her voice. "but she is a wastelander. she will always be one, and you will always be the outcast's mentor." just before onya began to walk away, wanheda held up her tail, stepping her in her tracks. "skai must fight gona to prove herself. if he defeats her, she will never be allowed to train."
taking a deep breath, onya nodded slowly. "she can do it."
"very well. then go to the execution hollow, and bring reivon along. wintam, gonplei, and trikova can come but leave niylah, lexa, artigus, and fotam in camp to watch over the kits with diamond and soncha."

silence suffocated the lands. wanheda's muzzle was lifted to the sky, her muzzle wreathed in the cool night air. ears flicking, she turned toward the rustling movements in the trees. wintam, gonplei, and trikova followed the two seconds and their mentors. she nodded approvingly at onya, and gestured for skai and gona to take her place in the center of the hollow. "there are only two rules: no one may interfere, and don't leave the hollow. prove to me that you are worthy to be a trikru member."
skai did not hesitate; she launched herself at the unsuspecting gona and pushed him against the ground. she bit his shoulder fiercely and he yowled, before regaining his strength and slashing her ear with his claws. the larger, older tom yanked her off him by her scruff and sent her skidding across the clearing with a jerk of his head. her ear, now shredded, dripped with blood as she braced herself for his next attack. gona's eyes flickering to skai's paws and he leapt at her, but she dove to the right and shoved him to the ground and clawed his back as he stumbled. jumping on top of his shoulders, she began viciously ripping at his fur and soon his back was exposed, bloodied, and he struggling to take in breaths. skai pressed his muzzle against the dirt and hissed in his ear, "do you surrender, gona?" the panting tom nodded, and she stepped off of him, walking away toward the river to rinse her wounds. behind her, gona had risen to his paws and was sprinting toward her. she heard his clumsy steps and moved to the left, and before he could stop himself, he barreled into the river. she stepped in after him and held his head under the water, relentless even as he struggled for breath. soon he stopped struggling, and the red-stained river was the only babble among the silent forest.

"bellamy, that's no fair!" octavia screeched, wrapping her arms around her older twin brother's neck. she hung off him, digging her back claws in his arm furiously. "just because you opened your eyes first-" she was interrupted has he rolled over, squashing her underneath his body.
"bellamy, i've told you to be kind to your sister, haven't i?" diamond hinted, glancing at him with a warning glint in her eyes. the egyptian mau rose to his paws, and licked octavia's head.
"of course. my sister, my responsibility." he said, puffing out his chest proudly.

My Clan is ElmClan. They live in the mountains of Utah, therefor their climate is very hot and dry with little to no rainfall. However, when rain does fall, there is normally some flooding since their camp is on a slope of a hill. They have spread out, dry bushes and trees.

ElmClan cats are known for their speed and agility. They need to be able to outrun predators and climb steep hills quickly. They have long, hooked claws and normally brown-ish pelts (however due to rogue DNA that has been prevalent lately, there are several cats with white, black, silver and even blue-gray pelts.) They are smart and witty, strategizing every plan and patrol.

The most notable landmark is the large river that runs along ElmClan’s southern border. It is their main source of water and is almost always full. It leads to a two-leg dam and even contains a select amount of fish.

quartzclan territory consists of mountains and forests. within the center of the clan is a large mountain. the sides of the mountain have a few different parts to them. the northern side of the mountain is rocky. the ground is loose and dangerous to be on. rocks can easily slide out from under a cats' paws ,, sending one tumbling down the mountain side. snakes hide within the crevasses of the rocks ,, ready to lash out and bit anything that comes too close to them. but also living along the northern side of the mountain are small rodents. one can try their luck to catch a mouse or vole ,, but it is recommended that all cats steer clear of the rockies. off to the west and east the mountain is nothing special. trees grow tall into the sky ,, streams flow through the terrain ,, and all types of creatures can be found. to the southern area of the mountain a waterfall cascades down the side. this side of the mountain is a little more steep than all of the other sides ,, but it is a great place to find herbs. all over the mountain are entrances to a cave system that tunnels throughout the mountain. all entrances eventually meet in a central area where the star cut as well as tumbled cut meet. throughout the tunnels and caves stones line the walls and ceiling ,, some lighting the paths. the central cave ,, as the cats call it ,, is full of many different gems. a hole within the ceiling allows for moonlight to fall into the cave ,, hitting one of the gems ,, a moonstone ,, making it glow. the gem is a large white stone that sits in the middle of the cave ,, and when a cat touches noses with the stone they will meet quartzclan ancestors. moving on from the tunnels ,, at the bottom of the mountain the waterfall pools into a large pond ,, a great place for hunting frogs. the base of the mountain is a forest. there are a few clearings that are good for training mixed cut. after heavy rainfall or once snow begins to melt ,, some parts of the land begins to flood ,, and walking down the mountain side becomes dangerous. once the forest begins to thin out and enters open spaces ,, then quartzclans territory ends.

quartzclans camp sits in one of the larger caves. its entrance isn't very visible ,, for vines fall down over the entrance. the camp is on the western side of the mountain. within the cave a small stream snakes across the ground ,, cutting the camp into two sections diagonally. to the left of the camp is the star cuts den. the star cuts den is under an overhang ,, where the star cut addresses the clan. the den is accessible by a tunnel. within the den are a few crystals. on this left side of the cave is the fresh kill pile as well. off to the right of the leaders den is a tunnel that leads to the tapered cut den. within this den are lesser crystals ,, so it is much dimmer within the den. on the opposite side of the stream are the marquise dens. two tunnels lead into a smaller but still quite large cave. the ceiling is much lower ,, and in the ground are indents where nests go. crystals and gems stick out of the walls. back out into the camp there is another over hang above the marquise den. a sort of pathway leads up to this over hang. two more tunnels lead into the mixed cuts den. the den is much like the marquise cut den. on the far back wall is the tumbled cuts den and princess cuts den. the two dens sit side by side ,, a tunnel leading into each. the two dens are also connected from within by a tunnel. vines fall down this back wall ,, thus the entrances are both covered by vines. each of the dens are dimmer ,, having fewer crystals. within the tumbled cuts den are three sections. there is the main area where the den connects to the princess cuts den. a back section leads to where all the herbs are stored. off to the left of the main area is a tunnel that leads to where sick and injure cats reside during their time of healing.

eagles ;; eagles are quite rare to catch ,, and are quite dangerous to attempt to catch.
hedgehogs ;; hedgehogs are extreamly rare ,, but they can be found in forests. not many roam inside of quartzclans territory ,, but it is almost a cause for celebration if a cat manages to catch one.

the names of the ranks are inspired by the different types of cuts gemstones can be given. it took me forever to even decide to use gemstone cuts as ranks >-< i went through too many ideas.

star cut [leader] ;; the star cut is the leader of the clan. the star cut is highly respected by all.

step cut [deputy] ;; the step cut is the cat who will success the star cut. they too are highly respected.

tumbled cut [medicine cat] ;; the tumbled cut are the cats who heal the injured and ill.

marquise cut [warriors] ;; the marquise cut hunt for and protect the clan.

finding of a gemstone ;; the finding of a gemstone happens when a new marquise cut is named. after being named the new marquise cut will head into the crystal tunnels. they must find their way to the crystal cave. once at the crystal cave the marquise cut will touch their nose to the moonstone. the marquise cut will meet with an ancestral star cut ,, who will then give them their gem. the marquise cut will then wake up and within the crystal cave. they must find the gem they were given. a gem is decided by a cats characteristics. if a cat is strong willed then they will probably be given a strong gem ,, if a cat is weak then they will be given a weak gem ,, if a cat is always happy then they will have a bright gem ,, if a cat is pessimistic then they will be given a dark colored gem. many factors help decide what a cats gem is. once a cat has their gem they will make their way back to camp. there the cats are given what seem to be collars ,, but they're not collars. it is a weaved necklace type made from vines ,, and it the vines will be tied around the marquise cuts gem ,, which then the marquise cut will wear.

burial of a quartz ;; if a cat dies then the star cut will stand atop the overhang and address the clan. the star cut will say ,, on this day i am saddened to say that we have lost a quartz. name was trait ,, trait ,, and trait. they were a valued member of the clan. let us hope the find the way to the stars peacefully. the star will jump down and rest their head atop the cats head ,, family and friends of the cat will do the same. for the rest of the night the family of the cat must keep a silent vigil. the body will be buried at the bottom of the mountain. the cat will be buried with their gemstone. if a star cut dies then a tumbled cut will address the clan.

the cats of quartzclan come in all sorts of varieties ,, such as the gemstones that they wear. the cats can have any fur color or fur pattern ,, their eye colors do tend to be brighter though. the cats can have a big or small build ,, long fur or short fur ,, even no fur! most cats of quartzclan are kind and easy going. the cats aren't much of fighters ,, but if a battle ensues then they won't go down without a fight. they're more passive and would much rather talk disputes out rather than have blood spilled. the cats of quartzclan are quite intuitive and inventive. the cats are quite independent of other clans ,, and will only make allies if it's in their best interest. quartzclan cats are also helpful. if another clan is in need then quartzclan may help that clan out.

The grey and white tom hurried over the dusty ground, kicking up clouds of it behind him. The prey he had caught swung from his jaws and his paws quickly glided over the ground. It didn’t take long for him to reach the carved out hollow that rested in the side of a large hill. The sizable hole had been his camp for the past 3 moons and he had begun to enjoy it. After getting exiled from his previous Clan, Hailstar thought it was nice to have a place to call home. He climbed his way into the rocky den and looked around. A hollow loneliness crept into his chest. The area was large enough to hold quiet a few cats. Or at least it seemed like it could. Suddenly, an idea flashed through Hailstar’s head. ‘I should make my own Clan.” He realized, looking around. He could use the company. And maybe the cats that joined him wouldn’t be like the weak flea bags he had left behind. Smiling, he dropped his prey and went to the edge of the cave. Looking up at the sky, he pleased to the invisible stars above. “StarClan,” He whispered aloud “Please. Don’t let me be alone.”

A tan furred cat leapt nimbly from one tree to another. He'd settled down in this territory some time ago, and he truly felt like this was the place. Of course he'd thought that about the rock cliffs...and the flower forest, and that weird place with the red sand literally everywhere. But this time, he was sure he was right. Even though the entire north border seemed well...absolutely terrifying, he was sure things would be fine.

Tail rippling as he made his way down the tree and out of the territory he'd already taken the liberty of marking out, Reed began to pad his way towards the starry pool of water he'd found five moons ago. The place where the cats from before had told him he was meant to be leader of a group of cats. He wasn't quite sure what he had planned was what they had in mind, but he liked his ideas. If they didn't, well, then they could go shove a stick down their throats.

Arriving on the path that led to the star-pool, as Reed had taken to calling it, the tomcat squared his shoulders, and padded along it, ears pricked forwards.

Three hours later the tom left, his name now Reedstar and his eyes glowing with knowledge. He'd also put in a request for a young cat. One he could train, easily impressionable. One that would adapt to his new clan's ways quickly.
