Now I lay me down to sleep
And pray Starclan my soul to keep
For secrets lie here way down deep
A thousand tears still yet to weep
Introduction wrote:
You had heard tales of how the last clan to settle by the river died. The curse of a green-eyed demon who could bend the wills of cats as easily as reeds. Tales that made you shudder in your pelt. But the other stories, those of clear blue water and ample prey, stories of Before, those intrigued you. And, as always, your curiosity got the better of you. You threw yourself wholeheartedly into the promises of a better life, chasing the passing whispers of rouges and that clump of stars, the one that looked like a grinning tomcat, which beckoned you south. And you found it. Your paradise. The river was shrunken and the beech trees shriveling but you didn't notice any of that. You were too caught up in your excitement at your new home to notice the creeping feeling of Wrongness. The sickly-sweet smell like that of rotten prey that stuck to everything. You were too excited to meet our guide, a real live- well dead, Starclan cat, to head his warning. That something about this territory was wrong. That you needed to fix it. That it would be dangerous. But all you saw was paradise. Welcome to your new home.
Territory wrote:
The old Beechclan camp has seen some changes between its previous clan's fall and the arrival of Clayclan. Though the poison has washed from the river, the body of water has shrunken. The once purely sandy shore now stretches further, bleeding into silt and muck and clay which always remains semi-wet as if it remembers the taste of the river. Perhaps there is an underground spring nearby. In the summer the river vanishes almost entirely and in the winter, grows so large that it could drown a badger before shrinking back come spring. The tree-line has likewise retreated, its bounty scarcer but not without worth. The beeches appear to be suffering from some sort of blight which turns their leaves black and appears to slowly be petrifying them. Other species of trees are yet to be effected but this blight has left the forest much thinner. Somewhere in the forest, a large carved rock holds the history of a dead generation. The tunnels and any other cat-made structure have collapsed, but would likely not be unfixable. Though to dig an underground home so close to potential floods would be folly. Denizens of Clayclan instead nestle among the roots of a cluster of large-bowed trees, each set aside for a different rank of cat.
Traditions wrote:
Clayclan is yet young and lacking in traditions, but there is one rather large difference between them and other clans. The tendency for a 'ghost' to manifest around members. These cats appear in clan member's dreams and help guide them through life. Each 'ghost' is with a cat from birth and only the cat who has received them can see them. Even the 'ghosts' themselves cannot see each other and they often remark about being lonely. They are 'ghosts' and not Starclan cats for these cats have not made it to either Starclan or The Dark Forest. Something has trapped them in Clayclan's hunting grounds and they do not know what. In fact, many of the 'ghosts' have broken memories. Claywhistle, the 'ghost' of the first leader of Clayclan, was the one to lead him to the territory. It is remarkable just how similar they are in coloration and temperament... But despite the confusion around why they exist, the 'ghosts' are quite integrated into Clayclan life. Now if only those flickering figures could be figured out.

clan replies no.22

Postby ashton. » Fri Sep 22, 2017 2:21 pm

      weather: leaf-bare.
the snow has fallen, blanketing every clan's territory. it's quite deep, so young apprentices should be very careful if leaving the camp. little white flurries continue to drift down from the sky. it will be easy to find new cats since they are searching for shelter.

Sunlight padded up to the Moonpool, her tail trailed behind her. Excitement filled her eyes as she looked into the reflecting water. She put her nose against the cold wetness of the liquid. "Starclan give me a deputy...."
Cloudmask watched Gingerfeather clean out her fur. He blushed as the she turned her head looking at him. Gingerfeather sighed and padded into the forest to hunt.
{Sunlight asks for a deputy}
{Gingerfeather decided to hunt}

starclan has granted you a deputy!
      gingerfeather caught a bird!

alas, a new warrior. faestar was definitely not the oldest and wisest when it came to clans, but she definitely knew that they were off to a good start. she looked at the young she-cat. compared to her and hoofedleap, she had a much different length in pelt. it was long and fluffy, much alike the clouds that drifted dreamily across the sky, listening to the whispers of starclan. she seemed quite timid and shy, her jewel yellow eyes darting around camp with caution, her tail lashing almost like whips against her side. faestar had already greeting the she-cat earlier that morning, but perhaps something had been bothering her. before she could walk over to have a talk with her, she had already swiftly stood up and headed her way out on what she assumed was a hunting patrol. that then drew her attention over to the medicene cat den. it unwelcoming kept a dark palette, waiting for someone to inhabit it. faestar could bear it no longer, she just had to fill up that medicene cat den. faestar was unsure if it was time for her next trip, but it had been several moons since and faestar felt pretty confident starclan would grant her the cat of her choice today. secretly, she stalked away from camp, allowing the sensation of the path to take her where she had desired. not that she had told any other cats in the clan, but faestar had travelled along this path several times before without meaning. come back quickly though she would, knowing her clan could become worried with a slight absence from her. it didn't take long until she reached the moon pool. the sound of it's welcoming streams yet pleasant silence filled her ears. her whiskers twitched with delight and she made her way across the stepping stones with a light and cheerful gait. she entered into the cave, it's majestic size and look made her feel somewhat weak, or 'put her in her place.' the presence of starclan was always so strong. she peered into the moonpool once again. it's blue and purple waters swirled around gently without the help of a stream or wind. in it, she saw her reflection, peering back up at her. it made her loose thought for some time. she took a deep breath, relaxed her shoulders and rest her skinny brown tail against the cold surface of the cave rock. "starclan, i ask your blessing for a medicine cat for fawnclan."

[mistyglaze went on a hunt]
[faestar asked starclan for a medicine cat]
[faestar and hoofedleap went on a border patrol]
[mistyglaze and faestar went on a hunt]
[hoofedleap went on a border patrol]

MoorClan

Her kittens were beautiful and healthy; mewling loudly and suckling at her belly. Oakfeather smiled lovingly down at them, curling her long tail around their tiny bodies. Although they were so young and she'd only been with them for a few moments, she was already certain of their names. The brown tabby would be Elmkit for her brown pelt bearing so much resemblance to a young elm tree, the pale brown tom would most certainly be Hazelkit while his hairy brother would be Beechkit. Oakfeather knew then that her family was complete; with a handsome mate and beautiful kittens, there wasn't a single thing she could possibly need.

Then rain started to fall, hammering down and hard on the grey stones. Her young kittens began to mewl and shiver, unable to take the cold so young. ''Ugh; I still need brains.'' She reprimanded herself, hefting herself to her paws and grabbing two of her kittens by the scruff. But that left Beechkit shivering on the rain-swept grass, mewling piteously for his mother; even if she sprinted back and forth, he'd most likely freeze before she could get back in time or a hawk snap him up. But his siblings would also freeze if she just stood there and did nothing! Oh, why hadn't she just stayed back at camp? Running off like an insolent apprentice after just one murder, which might not even be murder, was no doubt the most foolish thing that she'd ever done.

Darkheart watched the fretting queen from a distance, concern glimmering in her fire-orange eyes. While she knew that the queen was foolish, she sympathized with her difficult decision. It was hard to leave behind loved-ones, even for other loved-ones. Padding quietly closer to her, Darkheart smiled kindly. The queen looked nervous and glared at her, no doubt ready to slash open her throat as soon as she posed the slightest harm towards her offspring. ''I won't hurt 'em! I just want to help.'' The queen put down her mewling kittens and stared for a long time at her. ''F-fine; but I won't hesitate to feed your guts to the crows if you harm them.'' She murmured before picking up her kittens again. Darkheart quietly picked up the remaining kitten and fell in line with her, watching the brown-grey tabby trot back home.

''Oakfeather! Where have you been!?'' cried Dustfoot, padding slowly up to her. Jaw agape, the dusty-brown Siamese took notice of the two mewling bundles in her maw and the other bundle in a stranger's maw. ''W-who's that? Why has she got your son?'' The cats of Moorclan gathered around Darkheart, watching her with distrusting eyes. ''Speak! Or face my fury!'' crowed Robinstorm, kneading her paws in an anticipation of a fight. Quickly spotting the aggression on Robinstorm's voice, Oakfeather put her two kittens down and quickly spoke. ''That is Darkheart and she offered to carry Beechkit so I wouldn't have to leave him in the rain.''

Dustfoot stared at Darkheart thoughtfully before breaking into a grateful smile. ''Thank you.'' He murmured politely. Because of her kindness, Beechkit wasn't going to die of greencough or some such. ''No problem.'' Darkheart replied, watching Dustfoot pad off after his mate, evidently the little family was very close to one another; unlike her old clan, they'd fizzled away into nothing in a matter of days. When she turned back to the crowd of cats, looks of mistrust had changed into quiet looks of acceptance. Somehow the clan had decided her worthy of mingling within their ranks; a fragile faith but faith nevertheless and Darkheart knew that she mustn't miss her opportunity for shelter.

Hollytail watched Darkheart quietly from the nursery before turning slowly back to the three tiny kittens at Oakfeather's belly. ''She looks a lot like a rogue leader I met on my many travels; she attacked me out of the shadows but I was as quick as lighting!'' she smiled proudly. ''I sent her and her gang packing with a couple of flashes of my claws, never saw those bullies again.'' Oakfeather smiled gently, tail curled around the kittens. Dustfoot watched lovingly from the corner, watching as Elmkit swatted at her brother's ears; the new father knew that these little ones would be difficult to look after but in his eyes, the responsibility was worth it. ''How so very impressive.'' he murmured, quietly wondering if that was true. ''Indeed! But she's still luckier than poor Lizard.'' Hollytail remarked, glancing at the terrified prisoner.

Lizard sat crouched in a damp part of the house, feeling rain-water trickling down his thick fur. The mean tortoiseshell leader had bombarded him left and right with questions and he felt sick, nauseous and wishing to be back home with all those fat mice. Out of the corner of his bright eyes, he noticed a small molly approaching him. ''Leave me alone.'' he whined, shrinking away from her. Smallwhisker sighed softly and dropped a finch at his white paws, before quietly slinking off. If Lizard decided to treat every member of Moorclan as a monster than so be it; Smallwhisker wasn't going to be bothered by this. ''Is he saying anything?'' Fritillarystar inquired, padding up to the young medicine cat. ''Does he know where Snailstep went?'' As usual the leader didn't care for the those outside of Moorclan but rather spent all of her time asking for Snailstep and the traitorous Nettlefang's whereabouts;
Smallwhisker didn't care for Snailstep but she did especially want Nettlefang to be caught, it baffled her that Robinstorm and Ravenflower thought him innocent. He'd killed her brother for Starclan's sake!

''He hasn't said anything; maybe you shouldn't have shouted at him.'' Smallwhisker advised politely, dipping her head respectfully.
Her brother had been the loud one and although Smallwhisker was no longer afraid, she still exercised a healthy respect of her elders. ''Hmm, maybe.'' Fritillarystar replied carelessly, looking distant. ''Please excuse me, I must talk to Dawnpool and Nightclaw.''

The three mollies sat in a solemn circle, afraid to say the inevitable. ''At least we have new life.'' Nightclaw murmured quietly, throat hoarse from grieving over her lost son; Smallwhisker had told her that she couldn't see Ternpaw among the ranks of the starry cats and the black molly felt her faith in them shaken. ''Yes, a happy moment for us all.'' Dawnpool sighed, looking this way and that. Clearly she would rather be elsewhere; who knew that power could be so boring?

Eventually Fritillarystar tired of this avoidance and exclaimed loudly. ''Nettlefang is still on the loose! He must be brought back here for punishment.'' This surprised Nightclaw and Dawnpool out of their thoughts, their eyes staring at the fierce tortoiseshell. ''What's the punishment?'' Dawnpool inquired, ears pricked. Nightclaw looked interested, sitting up straight; she honestly couldn't think of a punishment severe enough for a murderer. Fritillarystar smiled strangely and looked at their curious faces. ''Death obviously.''

These words didn't go unnoticed by a sneaky Robinstorm; the torbie desperate to hear what they had to say about Nettlefang's twisted case. ''Death?'' She mumbled, the single syllable crude and rough on her tongue. The torbie knew that if they did manage to find Nettlefang, the poor tom wouldn't have a chance with Fritillarystar's sense of justice. The clan was baying for revenge and Robinstorm knew it. She also knew that they had the wrong cat! Nettlefang didn't have a mean bone in his body and anyway, he was with her and Ravenflower when the murder took place. ''That miserable weasel.'' grumbled Robinstorm as she snuck off, no way was she going to take this lying down! She was going to get her old friends to help her and woe betide anyone who stood in her way. That included even her friend, Ravenflower.

Robinstorm goes to find her old friends; three cats please in exchange for not finding anything on patrol for the next three posts please?

"it doesn't seem smart to leave the camp unattended," russetpaw frowned as he toward the dunes with his mentor, ready for his first training session.

rubypelt shrugged. "we won't be gone very long, and neither will the hunting party. besides, our neighbors are our friends, we have no reason to suspect that they would try to harm us or enter our camp without our permission."

"still," russetpaw sighed. "if i were deputy..."

rubypelt stopped listening, a yawn escaping despite her best efforts. he went off on these tangents a bit too often for rubypelt's taste. sure, it was great that he had ambition, but he didn't need to criticize every step his mentor took. with great resignation, she realized it would be a very long training session.

---

it was difficult to carry on a conversation while hunting, because the prey could be so easily spooked. yet, sootspots always found the right time to chatter away.

"are you excited for your kits?" she asked turquoisestar for the millionth time.

fernshade chuckled and the leader shook his head before answering, "of course i am. it'll be an all new adventure for us, and it's great for the future of shellclan." despite this answer, however, there was some apprehension rooted within turquoisestar. he feared that his kits would distract him from his duties as leader, and he was worried about how shellclan would manage without a deputy until his kits were old enough and his mate could return to her position. he couldn't replace her, no one else was qualified for the position. he'd have to muddle through without her for a few moons...

[fernshade, sootspots, and turquoisestar go hunting,
the clan consumes one squirrel,
rubypelt and russetpaw train]

fernshade, sootspots, and turquoisestar caught a mouse and a bird!
      russetpaw learned the climbing skill!

ᏁᎪᏆuᏒᎬ: These cats are very peaceful, and hunt in trees

ᏟᎪmᏢ: This camp is located in a shady woodsy area consisting of many large cypress trees, the largest one is called the "calling of ears" where the leader holds ceremonies and announcements on the large branch, a stream runs through the center of camp and it is called "the water of silence", and the dens are made through small cave systems under the camp.

ᏒᎬᏢuᏆᎪᏆᎥᎾᏁ: This clan is known for being good Allies, but also known for being one of the weaker clans, these cats don't fully believe in much violence and would rather talk it out than fight.

Sunlight padded along side her deputy smiling "You are a very strong cat, I'm glad to have thought as my deputy." Roachjaw nodded, his mind wandering off into darkness. Gingerflight psdded bahind the two cats, anxiously watching Roachjaw her suspicious thoughts flooded her mind. She shook her head and looked at Sunlight and then the deputy. "Sunlight, I'm going to search for clanmates, to make our clan even strong." he quietly padded away after getting Sunlight's approval, stealing a quick glare at Gingerfeather. Sunlight and Gingerfeather continued to hunt side by side.
Cloudmask quietly cleaned the medicine den, his eyes flickering with excitement. His mind quickened with thoughts of Gingerfeather, not having a clue it was wrong.

His name had been Chip, but he had been more than happy to trade in that name for one of a warrior. The past may not have been kind to this young tom, though he had done everything in his might to be kind to it, but the past had, as they say, passed. With his grim metal life behind him, and only new adventures to be seen, Resinstar's heart was light. He wore a most kitten-like grin as he sloughed through the belly-high drifts of snow, pouncing on every little mound. Resinstar's mittened paws were a tingly sort of numb and every step squeaked with the crackle of dry snow. The sun was shining through dark, frozen leaves and warming his pelt. Could life get any better than this?

He voiced as much to his older companion, whose footfalls made neither sound nor imprint in the drifts. "Oh it can. Just wait until you see this place during Newleaf," Claywhistle chuckled, "The sun's super warm and the trees turn this unbelievable green- like a jade beetle. Ever seen one of those? Lemme tell you- don't try and eat one. They're no good." Resinstar's eyes flashed, and darted along the canopy line. He could already imagine the twisted, bare, blackened branches alight with green fire and his mind was thirsty for the sight. Back in the junkyard green had been a scarcity, only found in dingy wrappers and Ivy's eyes. Before the new leader could get too caught up in his past, he heard a loud thwumping noise and found himself covered with powered snow. "Hey!" He sneezed, shaking off the white dust and traces of memories at the same time. A few tail lengths before him, Claywhistle was collapsed in a giggling fit "You look like a frozen hedgehog!"

"Did you just dump a tree on me?" Risenstar snorted, sneezing out more snow. "Me? Nu-uh. No way. Hey-hey I got a good one. What's red and white and smelly all over?" The answer was obvious by the tom's hopeless grinning. "You lie! Betrayal! "Treeson?" "Betrayal from my own guide- is nothing sacred?" Resinstar's words were punctuated with snorts and sneezes. He flung a pawful of snow at Claywhistle, sticking out his tongue as it passed right through. To be expected, his companion was incorporeal, which made things like snowball fights a bit difficult. The tom seemed to flicker for a moment but then he was back to his teasing. "Nanana- you can't catch me!" He bounded off along the riverbank, with Resinstar hot on his heels in a moment, glad that his friend wasn't about to start spouting ominous words about trapped spirits and green-eyed devils again.

The river was iced-over and swollen this time of year, lapping at the banks in a lazy manner. Claywhistle had told him that during the majority of the seasons the river was half this size, though it wasn't supposed to be. It was one of the things wrong about the tom's old territory, but at the moment Resinstar couldn't bring himself to imagine that anything was wrong with the land that was now his. As they raced upriver, Resinstar gradually slowed to a trot, his lungs heaving and his fur flushed, and Claywhistle lessened his pace to a trot to accompany his living friend. "Aw so you really do care," Resinstar teased. "Easy tiger," Claywhistle laughed, "I'm taken." The leader mock-pouted. "Lucky Sparksong- she and I are gonna have words when we find her," he joked. "And we will find her," Resinstar assured Claywhistle, seeing how the tom's eyes had darkened. The faded tom smiled appreciatively. "I know."

"Anyways, this is what I wanted to show you! Welcome to the Moonpool." Claywhistle waved a paw grandly at the pond before them. Apparently this was what they traveled all that way upriver for. "My brother used to say this was the most important and impressive places in all of the clan territories. I still think the gathering place is cooler but hey," he shrugged, "To each their own." He showed Resinstar around the area, pointing out places where years worth of paws had worn down the stone, but always staying a few tail-lengths away from the pool itself. "Now you drink from the water and talk to Starclan or something. You should probably ask them for another warrior so you can flirt with someone living." Resinstar gave another snorting laugh but did as Claywhistle directed, dipping his muzzle into the freezing pond and lapping it up. Suddenly a shiver ran up his spine and he collapsed to his knees. Claywhistle's pale pelt was by him in an instant, whispering reassurances that this was supposed to happen and that everything would be fine. As Resinstar closed his eyes the last thing he heard was; "Say hi to everyone for me would you?"

Re: Create A Clan- V.3

    JungleClan:
Jungleclan resides in a jungle, it is warm and humid the whole year, Jungleclan resides in the deeper and darker part of the jungle in the tallest trees as well. but a part of the beach they live near is their territory too. Jungleclan cats are great swimmers, hunters and climbers. Jungleclan cats usually train climbing by climbing the tall trees of their territory and they train swimming by swimming in the near by river. they are really nice to other clans in gatherings, their cats personalities are usually good and so is their reputation and nature. and are fierce cats. but try to solve the problem before fighting.

══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

He couldn’t feel the pads of his paws anymore. Walking for days probably hadn’t helped, but the ground, hardened with the dropping temperatures, demanded the tom quicken his pace lest his lose his legs to the frost. A blinding glare from the sun’s reflection on the snow had kept the tom’s head up and eyes squinted despite the exhaustion and strain evident in his neck and shoulders. Even with a thick, protective coat, he could still feel his chest and underbelly beginning to burn in spite of the cold air circulating around him. The odd mixture of temperatures and sensations had pushed him far past the brief irritation he had first felt when he’d entered the forest of giants and realized that there were very few spots for him to flee to when the weather became too harsh for him.
He couldn’t stop though, wouldn’t. By day, the tom couldn’t do much except wander about between the colossal trees and doze briefly when his body gave up on him, but by night, the moon shone brightly on the frozen stream beside him. Its light crafted a long silvery trail that ran up the length of the stream, and the tom was certain he was following a path laid down by Starclan for it never faded and was only ever broken by inevitable strips of shadow cast down by the trees. While he couldn’t be sure as to what his ancestors wanted from him, the ruddy cat knew that they would have offered him another sign if he had done anything against their wishes.
Glancing up, the tom could see the sky shifting colors into something darker, cooler. The day was ending and another long night awaited him, yet the cat rejoiced. Normally he didn’t favor the winter months, but the longer hours of darkness felt essential to him as he tailed along after the moon’s light. But suddenly the path vanished, swallowed up by a sudden coming of clouds. They didn’t threaten a storm, but the tom took the message clearly and stopped moving. He waited for another sign, bouncing from paw to paw to keep warm as the temperature dropped steadily more. It came in the form of a soft beam of light tracing the outline of an outstretched tree root partially covered by snow.
At first, the tom couldn’t really follow what his ancestors meant by showing him it, but as he stepped towards the root, the forest floor flooded with soft moonlight and a glow seemed to rise up from the snow like a praise before it softened again. At the end of this root, another one was highlighted, and the cat paced forward with little pause. He continued to follow the new trail set down for him until his path was suddenly obstructed by a fallen redwood too massive for him to climb over - even if his paws were in working order. Befuddled, the tom searched the grounds for another way around, but there was nothing except the log aglow. He could feel his fur bristling with agitation, and while he was aware that a lack of sleep was definitely influencing his temper, the ruddy tom couldn’t believe that Starclan would just guide him to the middle of nowhere to sit in front of a dead tree and preen happily like that was what they had meant to do.
The cat paced before the fallen log, finally tossing his head back to glare at the skies. If the cold air wasn’t causing his throat to constantly spasm and ache, the tom would have screeched his discontentment to his ancestors until his voice gave out. His eyes followed the movement of the clouds, desperate for some other clue from Starclan, and he watched as they slowly closed up the sky until only a couple stars were left visible. The cat waited a moment more before he realized that nothing was changing, and his eyes were slowly drawn from star to star. There were three of them huddled up together to form a triangle with another brighter one sitting just below the formation. In another gap in the clouds, there was a line of four more stars with the far most left resting slightly above the others.
But as the tom switched to study the very last star, his vision suddenly blurred and his senses were engulfed with abrupt white light. His eyelids felt extremely heavy and an oddly comfortable weight seemed to settle over the tom’s body even as it began to buzz with the need to move. There was a steady slow pulse that passed just beneath his fur and seemed to resonate within his chest. The ruddy cat couldn’t gather the mind to really pay attention to it, but as the pulses grew stronger, he grasped at the realization that they seemed to be counting up toward something.
The final and heaviest beat left the tom feeling nearly overwhelmed with a contentment and pride that didn’t seem to belong to him, but the cat snuggled into himself to try and hold onto the feeling even as it faded away. Dragging his heavy eyelids open, the tom first wondered when he had actually laid down to sleep since he usually just fell over whenever he couldn’t walk on any further. Then he caught sight of a pair of long, tawny legs almost entirely swathed by new snowfall in the earliest light of morning. As the flurries fell, the tom registered that he couldn’t actually feel their cold bite, and he became convinced that he was dreaming when the coyote before him still hadn’t snatched him up and eaten him.
The coyote lowered its head to catch the tom’s eye, and its ears pricked forward with curiosity. The tom could feel something of a memory pulling at him, but it vanished before he could focus on it. The canine in front of him gave a series of short, excited barks before prancing around the cat in a circle, and the tom’s attention was drawn to dark stains around the coyote’s maw. Even though it showed no interest in harming him, the tom couldn’t shake the sinister feeling surrounding the coyote. The cat’s fur puffed up unconsciously, and he raised a paw threateningly, daring the coyote to come closer. The coyote only offered a short whine in response before it trotted away, seemingly carrying the rest of the night sky and stars with it.
With a simple blink, the ruddy tom’s eyes trailed the path the coyote had taken only to find the snow unmarred and free of paw prints. His gaze rose toward the lightening skies, aware now that he was now actually awake, and he realized with a sudden jolt of alarm exactly what Starclan had given him and what was now expected of him. He knew he shouldn’t doubt his ancestors’ decisions, but the tom couldn’t help but fret over the idea that he may not have been the best choice for this role. The tom breathed out a shaky sigh and rolled to his feet, leaning heavily against the redwood log as he waited for his paws to return from being pricked with phantom needles.
I’ll try my best,” he croaked, voice strained by the ache in his throat, “to continue the Clans’ legacy and redeem myself as Coyote… star.” Just thinking about the new position Starclan had fitted him into was causing the tom to anxiously run through what his last clan’s leaders had done in their lifetime so that he might be at least somewhat prepared to take up his new responsibilities. In the midst of his storm of thoughts, the ruddy cat’s stomach gurgled and the tom was at once reminded of the fact that his last meal had been a couple days ago. Giving a hoarse, almost hysterical chuckle, the tom sauntered out into the massive forest with his scent hanging heavy behind him so he wouldn’t lose the massive redwood log Starclan had led him to, "I'll figure out where to start when I get back."

MoorClan
Justice will come on swift wings, none shall ever escape
Number of Cats: 21 | Males: 11 | Females:10

Bramblefur lay on the roof of the snow-dappled house, staring forlornly at the distance. Although he could barely remember his clan nowadays, the tabby tom still missed the forests and the trees that sheltered them from the howl and roar of the wind. Out here on the moors, there was no protection and you were at the sky's mercy; snow tinged the tips of his whiskers and Bramblefur could no longer feel his paws. Tucking them under his belly for warmth, Bramblefur stared at the dipping and rising horizon and wondered how far it stretched. Had Snailstep and Nettlefang both managed to flee far away, unable to ever be found ever again?

And which one of them had done the deed? It was a cold-blooded deed and one that Bramblefur couldn't let roll out of his tongue for the fear of having Ternpaw's body flash by his eyes again. He knew that most thought it was Nettlefang, he'd killed cats before and Bramblefur could see why he'd do it. But Fritillarystar no doubt had some vendetta towards the silver tom and Bramblefur couldn't help but wonder if she was a bit biased in her judgement. Snailstep did leave the patrol and Bramblefur couldn't help but wonder if the death of Ternpaw was linked to his departure. It just had to be; Snailstep did something and Bramblefur knew it.
''Bramblefur!'' cried out Braircloud, clambering up to join him. ''You'll freeze to death up here.'' The long-pelted tom chided softly, slumping by his side. Braircloud knew just how thoughtful his friend could be and that worried him; What if one day Bramblefur spent so long with his head in the clouds that he just...wandered off for good? ''It's my sentry duty today, don't worry.'' Bramblefur smiled, nuzzling Braircloud lovingly. ''Still, I'm gonna keep you company.'' and with that the two toms lay together on the rooftop,
joined by a tranquil devotion to one another.

''You fool! You murdered an apprentice!'' The white molly seethed, her voice as sharp as a hawthorn. Snailstep cringed backwards and stared forlornly at the beautiful cat before him. ''I-I'm sorry.'' The shaggy tom mumbled, shaking his head dazedly. ''Save your pining, it doesn't matter.'' Swanstar sighed, glaring into the darkness that unfurled before her. Within the shadows two figures hunched, bowed and empty-eyed. ''I've got uses for him.'' A whimper and a snarl came from the dark, which she ignored. ''But for now...you need to go back to Moorclan; spread lies, say it was Nettlefang.'' Swanstar grinned. ''Nightclaw did us a favour by bringing him into Moorclan.'' And with that, the two maniacs chuckled like demons into the night.

I swear I will mention Lightning, Swift and Avocet next time!
