how do you entice them to join your herd?: well that seems rather straightforward...
a 4-wheeler with alfalfa loaded in the back, let me just casually drive by...oh, did that capture your interest, moose?
how about these nice, giant organic carrots? or what about this grain tub full of mash and freshly chopped honeycrisp apples...those are expensive, y'know, but stick with me and there's plenty more where that came from...you don't like human food, do you? would you like to come inside and help me cook?

how do you entice them to join your herd?: A pretty pink pony deserves a special attraction, my herd throws a pony party to entice rosé to grace them with her presence. It occurred to us the pony may NOT want to be found, but she may find us if we’re interesting enough. It’s complete with a pony band, desserts and shiny playful balloons you can boop with your nose or pop with your hooves. There’s a delightful scent of berries from the prepared desserts. Giving the feel of a tea party.

which pony are you searching for?: Rosé
how do you entice them to join your herd?: The fragrance of strawberries fills the air, and I know she's come back again. The most pretty pink pintaloosa has stopped by every evening for the last couple weeks, visiting with my herd over at the fence line.

She is very friendly and sweet to my horses, but every attempt I've made to approach her results in her running away, kicking up dust clouds that hide where she disappears off to.
Surely there has to be a way to win her heart... Wait, that gives me an idea!

I grab my crafting supplies and get to work on creating the perfect card for her. The finished card is pink just like her, and cut into the shape of a heart. It's adorned with a ribbon and lace trim, and written out in loopy cursive reads Would you be my friend?
(With the 'i' dotted with a heart of course!)

When she sees me coming, her ears point forward and her eyes widen. But before she's able to bolt again, I hold out the card to her as a token of friendship.
...I hope she'll like it!

how do you entice them to join your herd?: Thunder rumbles in the distance, and I can see gray clouds on the horizon. Kentucky Bourbon and I are out on a trail ride together, but when the wind starts to pick up, I make the decision to head back home, much to Bourbon's protests.

The sky is darkening, and the strengthening wind scatters debris across the dirt path. Rain starts out as a sprinkle before turning into a downpour in the blink of an eye.
I lead Bourbon into a gallop, rushing to get us home. My heart is pounding in my chest from adrenaline as the thunder sounds closer.

Suddenly, a huge bolt of lightning strikes just several hundred yards in front of me. Bourbon squeals and rears while I let out a startled scream. Before either of us can calm down, something jumps out in front of us: a stunning, purple horse.
He runs off, dare I say as quick as lightning itself, before I have a chance to react. Maybe I'm crazy, but I urge Bourbon into a gallop and chase after him.

After darting through trees and jumping over fallen branches, we finally catch up to him. I dismount Bourbon, and cautiously approach this mysterious horse. He looks over my way, his ears flicking forward. With a soft smile, I pull an apple out of my pocket and offer it to him.
Maybe he'll want to join my herd?

This horse looks like they enjoy the calmer (and finer!) things in life. I would offer them a smoothie with horse-approved ingredients (carrots, strawberries, apples, sugar, etc)! I would also make sure they had a super comfy bed of hay and a nice meadow to frolic in. Brushing them would be a must too! Maybe even some flowers crowns? No matter what they pick from my luxurious offerings, they will definitely be pampered and loved in my stable!

When making my horse smoothies for rosé and the others, I definitely wouldn't want to waste anything! I would freeze the leftovers and turn them into horsie popsicles! I'm sure a big, fluffy horse out in this heat wouldn't be able to resist such a cool and refreshing treat! Buuut, if that doesn't work, we have plenty of fresh grass and flowers growing in our meadow! Maybe apples are more your thing? We have those too! Oh! Did I mention we have hay bales aplenty? What about my horse cakes? Especially the carrot cake...

This horse looks mysterious! And yet... also familiar? I think I would try to lure them to join my stable by ignoring them, and drinking tea! Then, once they are interested in my mysterious aura, I would start reading mystery genre books aloud to them, and letting them watch me play Minecraft. Worry not, we would also play in the meadows and have lots of wonderful brushing sessions! Maybe tackle some riding or show training too?

Some horses have gone missing? No more words are needed—I grab my horse, Enjo, and we set out to search. I’m holding a piece of paper with a few notes in my hand. The horse seems to have a fondness for food. Good thing I packed a few treats.
It doesn’t take long before I have my first encounter with Moose. The carrots draw him in like a magnet. I approach him cautiously and hold out a carrot. Faster than I can react, it’s gone—along with Moose.
The second attempt is more carefully planned. Riding Enjo, I wave the carrots through the air. Almost immediately, Moose is there. I give Enjo the signal to run off, the carrots tightly held in my free hand. As expected, Moose follows me just as quickly, his eyes fixed on the carrots. Not long after, we’re back at the stable, and Moose is standing happily eating in the pasture. He seems as though he no longer wants to wander around—he finds more treats here than in the forest.

Some horses have gone missing? No more words are needed—I grab my horse, Enjo, and we set out on the search. I’m holding a piece of paper with a few notes on it. This one seems to have been hard to spot. It seems to be enjoying the race.
Enjo and I have to search for a long time before we find the purple Flash. We immediately give chase, but Enjo can’t catch up to the horse. It always seems to be two horse lengths ahead. Yet it keeps looking back at us and seems excited?
It doesn’t take long before I have to give up the chase. I have to switch horses.
I start my next attempt with Amarea. This time, we find the purple Flash sooner than on our first try. As soon as Amarea sees the other horse, she runs after it. She can’t resist a challenge like this. This time, I don’t fall behind the other horse. Amarea and the stray horse engage in a neck-and-neck race, which Amarea wins.
After that, the horse begins to follow us. It seems to regard us as worthy companions. As we return to the stable, I can’t help but be amused by the two horses. Even though she isn’t as dark as the stray horse, Amarea is also purple. Maybe there’s a connection between the color purple and a love of racing?

how do you entice them to join your herd?:

The weather is perfect today, the birds are chirping, the sun is shining, the wind is slightly blowing, It's the perfect day to have a picnic! The thought excites me so much I end up packing 3 bags and a basket. After getting to the park, and putting all of the bags on, and stuffing blankets in my arms, I start to head through the trail.

Since the path is so rough with tree roots and rocks, I walk slowly and carefully, making alot of rattling sounds with each step, ‘ggg why did I bring so much stuff’ I grunt as I lug through the trail. Coming up on the end of the trail, i feel a force pull me backwards. I fall on my back, and one of my bags explodes open. Hacky sacks, frisbees, cards, dice, and bouncy balls go everywhere! Why did I bring so much?! A loud startled whinny, and from my back, upside down, I saw a golden palomino pony rearing.”Woaa, its okay” I say, calming the pony down, they look down at me and the mess, sniffing the junk around me. I try to get up but the weight of all of the bags keep me down. The pony snorts as if it was laughing at my struggle. Then the pony put its head underneath the bags, and helps me up. I pat her with gratitude and start to pick up the mess. As I pick things up, the pony started to roll the balls, around and around and then she started to roll them over to me. When I collected everything and started to continue the trail, the palomino followed.
Daisy (word count 212)




Finally made it to my spot. A wide open field, with lots of grass, small blooming flowers, and a few shady trees. I drop all of my bags and blankets on the floor, exhausted, I spread out the blankets and pillows and lay in the shade of the tree for a while. After a little nap, I woke to the sound of my stomach grumbling. I open the picnic basket and take out a couple of trays and saucers. I unclasp the first tray and reveal a vegetable platter, with cauliflower, broccoli, snap peas, cucumber, and carrots. The second tray, a fruit platter, with lots of berries, grapes, and apple slices. I take a first bite with a “CRUNCH” and from behind a tree a little grey head pops out. Another pony?! I continue to eat my snacks, but with each bite the pony gets closer and closer until they are at the edge of the blankets. I hold out a carrot for them, and they immediately take it, nodding their head up and down in delight. Then I grab a couple more carrots and apples to give to them, and when I reach up, the pony is fully slobbers all over the platter, chomping down all of the carrots on the plate. I was left with only what I had in my hand, “haha you were hungry huh” i say and i take a bite of the carrot in my hand, enjoying the company.

After eating, I laid back against the tree and started to read The Hobbit. Imagining that bilbo baggins and gandalf would appear out of the woods, my eyelids started to get heavy. I fell asleep, and woke up to the sunset shining in my eyes. After not being able to see for a few seconds, i notice a pony laying down next to me. A chestnut with white patches and face. How many ponies are in this park?!! I shift a little, and the pony's head pops up, startled. “Oh sorry for scaring you, you can rest here.” I say, and settle in some more. The pony starts looking around, anxiously. I slowly open my book, and start softly reading from it. After a few pages, the pony relaxes, and eventually lays its head back down on a pillow, and gradually closes its eyes back into a peaceful sleep.

after packing up and leaving the park, the ranger told me about the missing ponies and i just laughed because now it everything makes sense.

how do you entice them to join your herd?: i take my pony latte out for our usual spa day, and notice a sweet pink pony in the distance. i decide to approach her slowly, with some hope she would come to me instead of me rushing over and possibly scaring her. id spend time earning her trust, eventually hopefully being able to brush and style her mane and tail (she will get poofy curls, braids, everything !!) if she allowed it. id let her know that there would be friends waiting for her in my herd. we would wander through pretty meadows together, and this sweet girl would be pampered with lovely baths and yummy sweet treats, especially crisp apples, sugar cubes, and juicy strawberries. hopefully when rosé realizes that my herd is a safe place, she would choose to join me. ^_^ (~135 words)
