Titan's words weigh heavy on Geia's mind as he leaves the pit that day, the little shadow creature skittering at his side. He smiles as he glances down at the creature.
I might not be able to find closure, but I guess this guy isn't too bad.
At the same time, it was hard not to question himself as he replayed those words in his head. He remembered 11 days ago. That strange shifting sensation in the air as the pit opened. The sound of hundreds of wermz climbing down to try and find something down there, the usual eerie quiet being broken. The feeling of meeting Aero face to face and being compelled to follow the robotic werm back up to the surface, finding a warmth he'd never before known in joining the den with the others.

The pit was so cold. So terribly cold.

So if this was being lost, was it really such a bad thing? He knew why he'd chosen to leave the pit, but finding the shore had lead him to question everything. As if the depths were his purpose, his home. He'd never find it again, Titan had said. But it would stay with him forever. It was a part of him now.

So lost in thought was Geia that he nearly ran right into Shiso as the werm walked up to him, Wren and Cipher in tow. Instinctively, he jumped back, fur standing on end. He had always startled easily.

Shiso let out a deep laugh and then gestured at the shadow creature sitting by Geia's side.
"Cute."
"Yeah, another new friend today. I guess they like me" - as if to affirm this, the creature nuzzles up by his side. "Where are the others?"
"Cool. Well, this one doesn't look like he'll take up much space in the den, at least. As for the others, they're back in Eaden doing some cleaning up and making room for everyone's hallow realm findings." Shiso huffs. "There's just so many.... trinkets. It's just me, Cipher, and Wren back here for now. We wanted to make sure we were here to greet you. So, what's the plan? Going back in again tomorrow?"
Geia pauses, feeling the chill wash back over him. He'd spent days digging around in the deepest parts of the pit, searching for purpose. He thought he'd found it, too. But he wasn't sure anymore.

He barely had time to think this over when a timid voice spoke up- Cipher.

"Um, Geia... if you don't mind- I know the pit is really important to you, but I wanted to ask, if you maybe want to take a day to rest or something... maybe I could go into the pit this one time? The one time I went, I came running back with my tail between my legs. I feel bad about it. I'm grateful that you took over for me and all, but seeing you be so strong through going down there day after day made me want to go down there again. I want to be strong like you were! I... I don't know how I'll forgive myself if I don't give it another try."

Geia lets out a sigh as his eyes scan over Cipher. The fae werm is looking down at ground to the side of him, only occasionally darting his eyes back towards Geia to steal a glance. Blushing- perhaps with shame, or embarrassment. A part of him wants to be possessive- to say that this was his mission, his former home, his mystery to uncover. But everything that had happened... maybe he really could use some time to think it all over, to process it. Maybe it wasn't right to deny Cipher his chance at coming to understand the pit too.

"Alright. Be careful, ok? The voices are still there. They'll try to make you doubt yourself- don't listen to them."
Cipher nods in understanding.

When the little fae approaches the pit the next day, he trots towards Titan in understanding.
"Um... Mr. Titan, I just wanted to thank you for helping Geia when he nearly passed out in the pit the other day. We were all really worried about him."
Cipher nods at the foreman with a bright smile on his face as he finishes signing the waiver. His good nature gives way to some fear as he starts heading into the dark, but the young werm's mind is already made up. This is his chance to prove himself.

Today, only little Horatio stands before Titan. His vacant eyes stare right through the other, filled with nothing but yet something at the same time. Even though he doesn't speak, it feels like there's a dialogue occurring here. Whatever that is though, is anybody's guess. Regardless it seems like Dundee doesn't wish to see Titan anymore, evidenced by his absence in accompanying the pathetic werm.

Wait... Something in coming in... words are echoing in Titan's mind like a divine message from the creator himself...

"Horatio needs your credit card number and those three wacky numbers on the back! Only YOU can help him!"
