mrrow ... hi there! this is where we send expedition groups out to explore our worlds and also learn more about book-hopping.
Being able to jump into those books gave us nishinekos a sort of sentience, gaining us the ability to talk, write, and expedite.
Our journey to learn more fills our brains with knowledge!
Exploring also nets us some cool resources, trinkets, and even new friends!

human realm

| human city edge
an area where most nishinekos start their expedition journeys for how calm and safe the city edge is. where little humans dwell, this place still has quite a bit of loot to be found around the area.

requires: n/a!

Kamipeji realm
(kami for short)

| town plaza
where nishinekos alike hustle and bustle through this small colorful city. The hazy glow of the lanterns hung to the sky and the chatter of other cats fill you with excitement. Nishinekos who don't prefer the human realm tend to stick around here to expedite instead.

| koi lake
A little ways off of the town plaza lies a mysterious lake that holds multiple differently-colored koi. Surrounding this lake are a variety of luscious green plants, most notably bamboo, and colorful flowers. It looks like it's kept to regularly by someone and you can even hear a soft humming just before the break of dawn, but nobody knows who it's coming from. The humming can sometimes scare off any expeditionists coming by...

┊ expedition rules

• You must have at least one nishineko to expedite; you can't send out nothing, that wouldn't make sense!

• You can only expedite once per day, your turn resetting on CS rollover.

• (as of 5/4) You can only explore on days thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday at the moment.

• Please wait for your previous expedition turn results before posting a new form! If you post again even if it's after CS rollover but it has not yet been rolled for, it will be skipped and you'll have to post a new form.

• You can send at most 3 nishinekos out to expedite and only to one location! some company is always nice

• The number of turns a Nishineko has explored is linked to the user’s account; the number resets once the nishineko has been traded. If loaning to someone, once they return your nishineko it will have all the number of turns it originally had under your name. Please don’t use an alt account to bypass this!

• If expeditioning is ever closed and forms are posted during the closure, they will be skipped once it reopens.

I see you've made your way to the expeditionist's guild's hideout!
Here at the hideout, I supply items and accessories our expeditionists will need on their trips. Exploring isn't easy, so I must make sure they're well-equipped for their journey!
Expeditionists such as myself will find resources on their trips. Some items are good for crafting, and silk paper is a compound needed for a lot of Toshiko’s items. But if not, you can trade your resources to me instead!! (realistically i’ll put them in my giant closet but it’s the thought that counts right?)

It's also possible to come across trinkets that can be turned in and unlock new stuff like lore and items, which you can give to my best friend Oscar! Want to become an expeditionist as well?
Try having a look around and see what you like.

hey.. meow. I own the fisher’s league because my friend here has her paws tied up on the expeditioner’s guild, but i don't mind helping her.
This is the fishing league booth. When you go out exploring, sometimes you'll be able to catch a fish. Here, you can turn that fish in for some neat rewards! (or keep that fish for your collection.... if.. that's what you.. prefer.)
What do we do with all this fish? Dump them into a giant community fish tank! (that we then preserve this fish for later consumption.)

• Some fish will have multiple rewards you can choose from depending on which fish you caught. ONLY choose one reward per fish!
if you discover a new fish not yet listed here or in the glossary you can add an extra +30qf to your reward!

hey, I see you’ve found my booth. I’m Toshiko, and here you can give me some of your stuff you got from your exploring or something and I’ll craft you something better.
As someone with ethereal powers, what i craft is quite magical. I’d take the offer up if i were you, it might help your endeavors.

vibrant eyedrops
changes the color of the chosen nishineko's eye(s).
materials: x1 flower petals; x10 silk paper

dazzling dyebottle
dyes voyaged clothing any color, even if the nishineko is already wearing it.

drawn-on paper mask
allows toshiko to draw a face/word/etc on the paper mask for you. still customizable afterwards but what's drawn cannot be removed. you can ask for something vaguely specific or leave it completely up to toshiko's choice.

birch mask
a mask made out of birch wood; you find it resembles the face of a fox. toshiko has a dumb smirk on his face in the background as he lets you marvel at it.
