Cheetahs really aren't built for climbing. You've been scammed, and there's no way you're getting up in the trees.
But if you can't have it, they can't either. Of course, there's the obvious way you could ruin their peaceful sanctum. You're going to let those soft domestic bantams in on their secret, and gloat as the humans encourage them to noisily explore. The forest will have more of those annoying humans, but vengeance is worth it.
A few months later…
You’re walking down a worn dirt path, trees surrounding you on both sides. Your faithful cheetah is trotting by your side, ears swerving this way and that, listening to all the sounds of life in the forest. You’ve never explored past the garden and caves, and you’re taking in all the beauty around you, excited for the potential of this new area.
Suddenly, your cheetah stops next to you, ears perked up and alert. They pause a moment, and then swing their head up, looking at the treetops. You follow their line of sight, confused as to what they could be looking at. You don’t see anything, but then you notice a beautiful winged bantam fluttering around the treetops. It looks exactly like the butterfly bantams you so often see being tempted by sunstones that are left out by the caves. Then a dragonfly bantam zips past you, holding what appears to be… a pink looking pebble? You’ve never seen this color before.
You become truly aware of your surroundings. The treetops are buzzing- almost literally- with energy and movement. Bantams everywhere are hustling and bustling, carrying various items in their little paws as they soar this way and that.
That’s it! We finally found the right place. After months of looking for the fabled forest with treetops to explore, you’ve made it. You turn to your cheetah, trying to contain your excitement at this amazing discovery. Quickly, we must find the others and show them where to go!
Might be useful to bring something winged with you when you come back…
