My kalon was posted near the start of the event, but still hasn't gotten approved. Do I need to fix something on the ref?

How do we get the standard one?


"You may make your own design, commission someone to make your design, or you can claim a free design from the pile [pile designs are FCFS]." I would suggest reading the first post of the design thread, as it explains what you need to know in order to gain an event kalon!



when does this event end? i cant seem to find a date anywhere- sorry if this is a stupid q and im just blind haha. also will we be messaged or something when our final kalon designs become real? or will they just become real on the date it ends?

lastly, can we do anything with extra tokens we have or nah? i dont mind either way!- it was fun developing my myos :3


1: From the event's welcome page: "This event will run for a little over two months, final submission and prompts should be completed by 11:59 PM EST on September 30th, 2021"
2: We're still working out the final details, but there will be a form you will need fill out in order to "purchase" your MYO and make them into a real kalon. An announcement will be made near the end of the event with more details!
3: There will be a raffle at the end of the event to use up remaining tokens, more details will be announced closer to the event end date!

As your form was only just recently edited into your post, our staff members will assess your form when they are next available to work on approvals. Please be patient with us as we work through this event, as there are a lot of you and a few of us staff.

2 questions, sorry if they've already been asked!

1) I found a design from the artist search that I liked and is up for claims. Would I be able to claim this design as my MYO, so long as I make the lower level versions?

2) If I claim a design from the pile (or from the artist search if that's something I can do), am I allowed to further edit the design, or do I need to keep it the way it is?

1. I don't see why not, as long as you have the artists permission.
2. We will allow you to edit it as long as again, you get the artists permission and the edits are completed within the 48 hour window. So you would still have to follow the claim/hold rules.

It really depends on the tail in all honesty. If it looks more like stylized fur then it would fall under the common edit, but if the split looks like it can act like two tails (like this one) then it would fall under the rare edit. Best advice I can give is to sketch it out and you can always ask a staff member to take a peek at it.

Everyone who joins the event automatically starts with one standard MYO, that you can then earn tokens and upgrade it to a rare if you'd like. You can buy one more additionally MYO ticket and start the process all over again (starting at standard and using tokens earned to upgrade it).
So in short you can make a max of two kalons. One you start with automatically and an additional that is purchased with tokens.

quick q! if you claim an off-oekaki kal from the pile, does it need to go into the off-oekaki archive just like a normal MYO would? or is there some kind of special condition?

Does word count stack? Like if you wrote 350 words, would that be 3 tokens? [1 token for 100 words + 2 tokens for 250 words]

I don't see why not. You can either let the time run out or message a member of staff letting them know your decision so they can free up the design.

As far as I'm aware the words do not stack. You would have to hit each milestone and you'd get the tickets appropriate with each section. (Though I'm not 100% sure on this so if I hear otherwise I will msg you. ^^)
