Novaria’s ear twitched, but he kept his eyes firmly closed; even when Tera started poking at his side. He had been enjoying his break- Grimm hadn’t called on Team Nightmare since the last event, so Novaria had been using the past few days to just... rest. He’d even gone back to his old house again, now that he’d-

“Novaria! Hey, theres a letter here for both of us get up-”

Letter?

Novaria relented, opening his eyes- intending to feign exhaustion and all, but Tera’s wide eyes and unusually subdued demeanour made him reconsider. Tera didn’t even speak- just thrust a sheet of paper into Novaria’s paws. The script was... perhaps vaguely familiar? But he couldn’t place it. There were wrinkly bits too, spits where ink had run, despite the short message.

’Festival’s end, fireworks. Do you remember the best view? I don’t know what your plans may be. I don’t even know for sure if you will be there. If you would even get this letter. If you did. Novaria, Tera. I’ll be at the Silver Sea bluff for the show.’

“Granny gave it to me when I went over to her place for Nai’a’s last thing,” Tera said. He gestured to the letter again, to the last line, nearly washed out. Novaria felt frozen to the spot, his fur prickling as he finally made out the signature.

Fi.

Could it-

“We can’t... we can’t not go,” Novaria said quietly. “This- Whatever thus is, we have to find out.”

“Helena, this is Athena, the Lambicorn I spoke of earlier. She has accepted my offer, and will now be the official keeper of peace within our kingdom.” Queen Peri smiled as she spoke to the other queen.
Athena stood shyly behind her, intimidated by Helena’s frightening appearance. “Y-your majesty...” she whispered, bowing her head.
“Athena... I see. You look as you would expire upon even the lightest of blows. Good thing you are not a soldier,” Helena chuckled, examining her carefully. She turned back to Peri. “And you say this remarkably young Lambicorn saved your life?”
Peri glared at her, pulling Athena next to her protectively. “Well, she’s not a soldier, she’s a peacemaker. She grabbed me and helped me escape without harming a single soul.”
“It’s okay, your majesty. You don’t have to argue over me... I know I’m not very brave,” Athena spoke softly. “Saving you was just the right thing to do.”
Helena grinned slightly. “You may not be the bravest, young one, though you are most certainly the kindest. I suppose I could learn a thing or two from you.”
Peri couldn’t help but laugh at Helena’s remark. “Well, I don’t call you Hell for nothing,” she teased. “But I think... you’re just big and bad on the outside, and you’re an adorable little softie when you wanna be.” She pounced playfully onto her and nipped at her ear before letting her stand back up.
Helena’s face reddened with embarrassment. “Shut up!” She huffed, brushing herself off and fixing her crown.
Athena snickered at their interaction. “You two are adorable. I already like you so much better than my former king. I hope I can serve you well.”

Blue rose was just looking at the other lambis bouncing around, this is common for her to stay out of the common area, as in she doesn't go into crowds.. Shes always been a shy kind Compared to the others..
Sometimes Ava comes to sit next to her, often telling of some sort of ancient story she learned or calming comments which tell of the world around. Sometimes she considers ava as a Grandparent sort even though they have no relation to each other , other than knowing each other.. someone that will tell you of the world around you in a way where your not afraid of what the world actually is like.
Callie sometimes comes over and talks with blue rose over how exciting everything can be.. In how the world can not be scary.. but actually pretty fun!
Emilia Isn't as chatty as callie, or calm like Ava, she is.. in the middle of the two.. she more talks of whatever is on her mind at the minute..
Max Might talk to Blue Rose, maybe even show her a game he was playing..

Out of all of them.. Blue rose is most chatty to Ava and Max. A normal day for her is chatting to them or trying to figure out how to not be bored..

Prompt: Alastor sat on the edge of the cave entrance, eyes fixated up at the rolling storm clouds above him. He and Harper had been on their way to a little outpost near a human city, but a storm caught them by surprise, and now they were forced to wait it out. The thunder was just a low grumble between the clouds, almost like a cat's purr. Alastor laid his head down against the damp rock, still focused on the rain. He didn't notice Harper as he went to sit down next to him.
"What are you thinking about?" Harper asked, glancing in the same direction he was to try and pick out what he was looking at.
"It's crying." Alastor muttered. Harper tilted his head for a moment before looking down at the smaller Lambicorn.
"Ooooh..." Harper drawled. "The sky certainly is crying. That's alright, though. Crying isn't bad, everyone gets sad sometimes, even the sky."
"Do you get sad?" Alastor glanced up at Harper. He sat there silently for a moment, his jaw slightly ajar, before finally answering.
"Yeah, I do. A lot, actually. But it's not that bad, you know." Harper paused for a moment to lay down, wrapping two of his wings around Alastor. "I've got my favorite person in the whole world to keep me company." He smiled. Alastor looked up at him like a child in absolute awe. He almost couldn't believe that he was Harper's favorite person. He scooted closer to the larger lambicorn, nestling into his side. Harper wasn't all that fluffy, and he had lots of pokey pin feathers and scales, but it was worth being a little uncomfortable to spend time with him. The rain still poured down, but he felt a little less sad for the sky. Soon the sun would rise again, and maybe the sky would feel a little better. He always felt better with Harper around, so that's just what the sky needed.

Prompt: Blessed with a bit more spare time, Sunfire wandered back towards the beach where she had seen Seawhispers a few days ago. Sure enough the strangely-hued lambicorn was playing in the waters again. As they looked up, a broad smile crossed their expression. "You came back!"

"Well, I said I would didn't I?" Sunfire asked, sticking out her tongue. The two started to jump, prance, and play, chasing each other in circles, into waters, burying things in the sand... until finally as night began to settle in they collapsed beside each other.

"You'll come back right?" Seawhispers asked, yawning a slight as one of their wings covered Sunfire.

"Mayne. Just maybe."

Iso doesn't have a particularly good relationship with Winter, mostly just because things in his childhood have stayed with him much longer than anyone thought they would. Unfortunately, the winter brought along loneliness for Iso in his youth, especially so after he had gained a connection with Azu. The problem was that Azu at the time was still in schooling, and took classes in the winter. Because of this, he wasn't able to babysit Iso or visit as much as they might have liked.

The first winter this happened, Iso would sit near the window and wait for Azu, expecting him to come by at a specific time like he had every other day, but he would sit there for hours, watching the sun set and eventually sleeping next to the window. There also were some times where Iso's family was forced to leave him home alone, and all Iso did in those times was watching outside the window waiting for them to come back.

Prompt: Novaria pressed her little paws against the window, eyes wide as they followed the thick, slow-falling flakes. She vaguely remembered this happening once before, a whole long time ago, but then it hadn’t- everything was all green and warm and soft; then it got all chilly and crunchy, and now it was cold! Really really cold and slippery, so much that she couldn’t use her wheelchair easy any more or play at the beach. Or outside at all much. But she got hot chocolate milk with whip cream and sprinkles before bed sometimes now, and there were a lot of pretty lights going up around town- and they looked really pretty at night, like now! The house next door was all glowy green and yellow, across the street was in rainbows, another one all blue. Some lights were even buried under the snow now, all pretty patches of red and pink and yellow...

A patch of light just at the edge of her vision seemed to wiggle. Novaria pressed closer to the window, staring intently- there, it did it again! She tapped her paws against the glass, too excited by this new development to even try words.

“See something out there?” her father called, looking up from the meal he was preparing.

“Mm!!” Novaria looked back, tapping the glass again. “Light’s movin’!”

“That so?” Her father chuckled, approaching the window and glancing out as he moved to pick Novaria up- but the light, a pretty patch of a lot of colors (mostly purple! not enough of the lights were purple!), moved again. She squeaked, her father paused. The light grew brighter, and then-

“Horn!” Novaria tugged her father’s fur. “S’a horn?”

“I think- Novaria, you stay right here, okay?” Her father deposited her on a chair, waiting just long enough for Novaria to nod before dashing outside. He wasn't gone long, though- only a few minutes passed before her father returned, a shivering, shining bundle held close to his chest.

The patch turned out to be a lambicorn, one just around Novaria's age! He wasn't in too bad of shape when Sebastian found him, but still extremely cold, so Novaria immediately gave him the mug of cocoa that had just been made up for her, and snuggled right up by the other Lambie until he wasn't shivering any more. Not terribly long after, an older Lambie showed up- the one in the snow was her grandson, he'd run off during a parade, could you believe that! She was glad that her Tera had been found so quickly though, and invited Sebastian and Novaria to her home- which turned out to be the library across town- for tea the next day.

So, Novaria's thoughts on winter? Every season is great, but winter holds a special place in her heart, for introducing her to Tera!

Another free day, this time with a theme: winter! Write about your lambie's experience with winter in any way you like - their first time ice skating, being snowed in, having an epic snowball fight, wishing for summer, anything at all, so long as it relates to winter in some way!


Iroha remembers her first winter so vividly, her excitedly hopping out into the snow and prancing around while her parents smiled and watched her. She remembered being taught how to make snow angels, snow lambies and even started a snowball fight with her parents of which she won. So every time it starts to snow Iroha just stares longingly out the window as she paints, her winter themed paintings are always so beautiful, unfortunately she can't handle the cold as she gets older so she can no longer really do what she used to as a small kit and it upsets her greatly.

I remember it like it was yesterday. The snow, the decorations, the family, ugh the family. Every winter all, and I mean all the family comes over... I always try to hide in my room, but of course I'm always called out, or people come in. Anyway, one year my cousin brought over a big sled and I mean BIG. This thing was massive! It was blue with a "racing stripe" or so he called it and it was a little banged up as it had been used. I was excited to use it so much that all throughout the day I kept asking my mother and my cousin if I could. Finally the time came. I was ready! I got on, and as it started to move I knew I was in trouble. I started to turn, snow pelting my face, and I hit a tree. The snow in the tree blanketed over me and I started to laugh. Until I noticed the sled was broken. Now it's been a year and I still haven't gotten a new one for him.
