i ended up finishing this project earlier than i expected to, so when it was extended, i decided to do some more. first, i made a ten-panel comic. nia the elf kindly let me feature her kalon, beltane, in this comic. the strip is mostly void of dialogue as i wanted to make the final statement more effective.
after finishing the comic, there was still a couple of days left, so i designed a human reference for madonna. there is an alternate
version with no shading and visible scars which is also on the sta.sh.
having finished all of that, i decided to start an instagram feed to further portray madonna's personality. in order to get photos for this account, i travelled out to a nearby woodland and took 114 photos of the plant life there. after i came home i took my dogs for a walk, and took a further 36 photos. because of how many pictures i was posting at once, instagram literally stopped working so i couldn't post any more. i'm happy to
upload the photos to my sta.sh if you want to see them, but they're mostly just pictures of the woods.

a note, in conclusion
working on this project has been both joyous and torturous. i've effectively lived it for the past month and it's brought me to an entirely new understanding of the world and the people who surround me - i have, in effect, simulated madonna's journey for myself. thank you, biteri/planiteri, for this amazing opportunity. kaur is stunning and i don't know if it's particularly hard for you to let him go, but he'll make someone very happy. thank you, nia the elf, for being so patient with me when i was trying to figure out how to respectfully cover your beliefs. thank you to everyone who answered my survey. and finally, thank you to all of my friends and family who have given me invaluable feedback throughout this project - to the point of helping me plan a trip to avebury, which is over 2 hours away, so that i could further my research into celtic paganism (even though avebury ended up being shut down due to covid). honestly, all i can say at the end of this month-and-a-half-long adventure is this: thank you for reading, and i hope you enjoyed.
