What is your horses' favorite season?

Midas:
Despite his obvious love for winter and all of its snow filled splendor it is a bit too cold for his taste as he is not allowed to lie down in the snow for fear of him getting sick, so his preferred season is spring. Spring is not too cold for Midas to lie down on the ground, but it is also not too hot when he plays or is being trained. Spring is also the time when foals start to go outside and he can play with them instead of just looking at them through his stall. Midas loves to show the foals all of the fun and interesting things. Midas is the first to show them the best grass, the coolest water troughs and the places where the water sits and makes mud puddles. The foals love Midas because other then their mothers he is the only 'adult' that will play with them. Not that Midas is anything but a overgrown foal at heart, but they view him as a adult none the less. In the spring Midas is usually found lying on the ground, eating honeysuckles, showing the foals something, or most commonly, being followed around by a small army of foals. Midas doesn't mind at all he loves foals and he finds them to be cute as a button and very fun to be around. Most of the broodmares don't mind either because they get free babysitting and Midas keeps the foals where the mares can see them. No one is sure why Midas has taken such a liking to the foals. Some horses think that the foals remind him of his own foalhood. Others speculate that he is too caring. In truth Midas just really enjoys being around the foals; he thinks the adult horses are too stuffy and boring. All the adults talk about is the weather and who won which competition. The foals like to run around, play, jump, and be impulsive. Although it is tiring and hard work Midas likes the fast pace and quick thinking it requires to solve all of the foals' problems.
Sunset:
Sunset has a lot problems with the seasons. Spring is full of lush grass that makes her a little colic-y and it brings pollen with it that messes with her allergies. Summer is pretty nice; it brings with it the warm sun and more time to gossip with the other mares. Fall is chilly and a little too spooky for her taste because of Halloween although she did help her handler dress up as the headless horseman one year which was pretty fun. Don't get Sunset started on winter because she will not stop telling you how cold and dreary it is. Taking into consideration all of the seasons Sunset would have to say summer is her favorite season. The rays of sun feels so good that she could almost take a little nap in them. Not that she ever takes naps and definitely not with Midas. Speaking of Midas, where is he? Oh, there he is. Such a goofy stallion always with those foals they aren't even his. The only gossip Sunset doesn't like is why Midas is always around the foals. The mares think its because Midas is trying to steal the foals. How could they think that? Midas loves the foals like they're his own, but he knows they aren't. He would never try to steal a foal away from its parents! Midas just loves to be around the foals because they're fun to be around. Sunset admires Midas for his ability to be around the foals and his creativity to keep them entertained. Sunset isn't sure she would have the energy to keep up with a foal and certainly not like Midas does. He runs around with the foals all day jumping, playing , and acting like a foal himself and then he turns around and trains with his handler right after. Sunset isnt sure where he keeps all of that energy , but its nice to see Midas enjoying himself. Whenever Midas comes up in conversation Sunset keeps an ear out and if one of the mares mention their thought on why Midas hangs out with the foals she snaps at them. The rumors got so bad that when one of the broodmares overheard she told the others and none of them let Midas around their foals. This broke nit only the foals' hearts but Midas' as well. Sunset disnt like what was happeningone bit, but she wasnt one to start things. But the final straw was when she found Midas crying because he didn't understand why the mares were being so mean all of a sudden. Sunset reassured him it wasnt his fault and walked up to the mare that had started the rumors and gave her a piece of her mind. Afterwards, the mare stopped the rumors, told the mares she had started the rumors, and Midas was allowed to play with the foals once more. So summer is defenitly Sunset's favorite season because of Midas.
