[Climb carefully and figure out what you've spotted before taking anything.]

[There's no ice on the trunk or prickles hiding between the bark, but you're careful just the same as you climb the tree. You have no claws, and it's easy to fall from a regular tree, let alone one dozens or even hundreds of times the normal size. If you were to fall from even the lowest branch, you could very well get hurt. Maybe you should stop looking down. Yeah, definitely a good idea to stop looking down.

Instead, you look ahead, and realize that while you were preoccupied, you arrived at your destination! Nestled in the crook of the branch is a red material flapping about like a flag in the wind. It looks long and soft, but to have been there this long it must be quite stuck. It probably wouldn't be any more dangerous than climbing up here was to dislodge, but maybe it isn't worth the trouble. You didn't come here looking for clothing, after all. Maybe there is something more interesting on another branch, or you should just return to the safety of the ground and try elsewhere...]

[Fritz is surprised and awed by your gift if his expression is an honest indicator of his feelings. He looks from you to the potion and back and ducks his head in embarrassment, but you see a sad but warm smile worm its way onto his face. He hesitates again about what to do, and decides to hug you, forgetting to ask in his determination not to chicken out. He thanks you for the gift, and requests that you come back sometime to visit. He even offers to show you where he lives so you can stop by if you can't find him.]

the slime looked just as relieved as the guard did. she seemed slightly overwhelmed by the goons around her. she decides to explain who she was.
'Oh, um.. my name is Merit! You can tell I'm not from here due to my skin.' she carefully removed her hood, revealing her orange-red skin, along with her goopy hair. they looked connected, and almost like they were going to drip at anytime. 'Where I come from, there is an outrageous hate for people like me. I'm actually a slime, but people frown upon us like we're monsters. I almost though that.. this place would too.' she seemed quiet for a bit, before sighing, and finally responding with..

[I'm looking for a place to stay.]

[The guard listens with patience and interest to what you have to say and seems empathetic to your cause. He taps his chin with a furry finger as he considers the options he can offer you before making a suggestion. "We have a place in town where we keep most of the young goons without a home. That would probably do if you're just looking for a safe place you can rest, and maybe get some food now and then. You'll probably want to find your own when you can or get a job, though. Most of those goons don't last too long on their own."

"What!" One of the hovering goons snaps out of their silence and the guard seems to only now remember they're even there. The pierced goon's passionate outcry fades as they realize the guard is giving them a hard look, but take a step forward even under the withering gaze when it is clear no other option is forthcoming. It takes you a moment to realize he isn't actually wearing a coat, his fur is just that bright purple all on its own. "You can't just leave a vulnerable visitor to fend for themselves! What kind of first impression are you trying to give? I cannot in good conscience allow it. Merit is welcome to join me in my own abode, if they wish."

Stirring an echoing feeling in the conscience of the others, they too step forward to share their own offers and give the newcomer options. The masked goon studded in stars admits that his home isn't as fancy as their black and white friend, but it also isn't as stuffy if you prefer a more lax atmosphere. The third - reminding you with his tufted tail and small, rounded ears a bit of a lion cub - shyly adds that his own home is not quite as large or orderly as those of his friends, but he built it himself and can always build it up to make more room. Besides, its much warmer and has more fun toys than the other two combined!

"Hah! What do you say to that, you old tin can?" The first goon to speak lifts their chin in pride, tossing their hair as they gloat. "Any of those has to be better than a halfway home, right?"

[Squirming beneath the creature in an attempt to move your hands and arms in a motion approximating that of petting the overstuffed bird, you manage to startle the bulky body off of you enough to breathe a little easier and see beyond your goon-sitter's face. Rearranging itself atop you, you notice the head swinging back and forth in all directions, eyes on the horizon in each case. When its attention returns to you, it is your turn to be surprised as it begins to tug at your fur with its beak and... groom you. Oh. It seems that this beast you've discovered thinks you are a baby.]

[All else matters not in the face of a new discovery, as long as it can possibly make you rich! What? Nobody wants to go hungry. You may not have seen where the wisp went, but you can follow the wind it was being carried by if you're careful. With curiosity, you notice after only a few moments of this that not only is the wind only going one way, but it is doing so in a steady, measurable pace. Like breathing. It seems to be leading you toward the toppled dandelions, as well. As you trace the source of the gusts, you get a chill down your spine that has nothing to do with the cold air. You have found a crack in the earth, deep and dark and jagged, at what seems to be the center of a dead patch of dandelions. The wind-breathing tugs more insistently toward the hole now that you are so near to it. You can see your fur lift toward it with each gasping pull.]
