[The guard is visibly relieved by the way you answer. His demeanor changes and although he still keeps an uncertain distance, he smiles and reassures the other goons. When he gets back to asking you questions, the others seem intrigued as well, and although they are told they can carry on by the guard, they linger to overhear. "Well, in that case, would you please tell me what you are? And maybe what you're looking for, so I can direct you."]

the slime looked just as relieved as the guard did. she seemed slightly overwhelmed by the goons around her. she decides to explain who she was.
'Oh, um.. my name is Merit! You can tell I'm not from here due to my skin.' she carefully removed her hood, revealing her orange-red skin, along with her goopy hair. they looked connected, and almost like they were going to drip at anytime. 'Where I come from, there is an outrageous hate for people like me. I'm actually a slime, but people frown upon us like we're monsters. I almost though that.. this place would too.' she seemed quiet for a bit, before sighing, and finally responding with..

Also: I've added a section called "Current Adventures" so that people know how caught up I am on where adventurers are. =) This way hopefully quoting won't be necessary.

[Excited by your agreement with their priorities, the splotchy goon gives you a toothy smile and leads the way, introducing himself as you go. He isn't wrong about the guild, either. None of the goons were. It's the largest building in town and there are offshoots from the main hall in various directions for each individual guild, and lots of them offer free food for visitors. Your companion in particular dives straight toward the nearest table covered in creamy pastries, and its hard to blame him, since each one looks like a giant strawberry.]

[Though there may not be many uses in your repertoire for plants and bugs, you figure there might still be something of interest out here. After all, the wilds are ever changing, and you never know what you might find just by looking. You keep your eyes peeled for out of place objects and markings, enjoying the stiff breeze over the field as you go. It's a little chillier out here than you remember, actually. You're just wondering if winter is coming sooner than expected when another bracing wind whistles past you, carrying a softly glowing little pink wisp of... something. You swear you saw it, but in a blink the light is gone, and the wind continues to grasp and pull at you, just as it had the imagined wisp. In the distance, you notice something odd. The first of what looks like a swath of dandelions in the field has withered and fallen]
