a strange being is walking about the town, obviously dazed and confused. they have slime-like skin, or rather, they were a slime, yet they looked like a human. they were wearing a jacket, jeans and boots, with the hood of their jacket over their head. they looked like they were new around here. they attempt to walk over to a select number of random goons, asking the same question, which was..

( i'm new to the species, and i thought this was a good place to start! i don't have a goon yet either, and i believe this is one way to get one? )

[Your presence near the town does not go unnoticed despite the groups of goons trailing out of the gates in coordinated bursts. There are confused and concerned glances in your direction from most of the goons who spot you and keep out of your path, but there are one or two humans who almost seem to respond to the sight of you with... excitement, you think? In the end, though you try speaking to some of the goons as they pass out of the gate, it is only when the guard interferes that you get an audience. He clears his throat and steps between you and the frightened trio.

"Pardon, did I hear you correctly? You're lost? You... wouldn't happen to be... human, would you?" Like the others, he seems put off and confused by your appearance, but since it is his duty and not theirs to safeguard the town and its people, he must be taking the risk for their sake.]

After being nursed back into health after her unfortunate accident - and befriending a human named Neia - Mae was curious about the town she found herself in. Neia had explained the place as best she could, but being a newcomer herself, the flighty human couldn't answer many questions the ruddy Goon had. Which was why, one fairly cloudy day, this young Goon set about the town to look for somebody that might have the answers she was looking for. Despite the cast still fresh around her arm, Mae strode up to the first creature who seemed to know their way around, smiling brightly.

Choose one: [Berry Bushes]

[The wilds are dangerous, so it's best not to wander when there are clear paths to the areas of most interest. The berry bushes are one of the most popular, since when the berries are ripe for picking they serve as excellent food and currency! Either would be welcome in your new circumstances. The summer is almost out, so you don't immediately find what you're looking for, but instead have to forage deeper in the bushes before you find something of interest.

You think you see the bright healthy red of berries behind the thorns of a particularly mean looking briar. You could risk pushing past them to get at the prize on the other side. On the other hand, you think you saw something else with a lovely red streak up above in a tree. You don't actually know where ruberries are found, now you come to think of it, but if you don't fancy the risk of getting all scratched up for nothing, so it might be a safer bet to try climbing the tree or knocking whatever it is down.]
