[Your first words to the trio are those of challenge, and they perk up their ears with interest. They already have a head start on you, but to make it fair everybody else sets aside what they have already collected and the game begins! In no time at all, your little party goes from hurriedly picking to fumbling for more arm space. When the first of you spills your load, the laughter begins, someone throws the first fruit, and before you know it the four of you are huffing and puffing, covered in sticky purplish juices and grinning madly. It was a good game, but you've wasted most of your haul for the day. Luckily you seem to have made some new friends doing it. The goons are talking about heading back with the collection they set aside already, but considerately offer to leave you some help. which goon would you like to assist you?]

[Race Fritz to the market to help him relax.]

[Fritz is caught off guard at first, but quickly cheers up at the friendly offer of a race, and the exercise seems to do him good as the two of you start off for the exit and in the direction the other goon indicated earlier in the day. Either Fritz is terribly unsubtle about letting you win or he gets nervous as you approach the busier area of town where the market lies, however. The stalls are colorful and distracting, and the buzz of activity around them suggests you are not the only one whose attention they have succeeded in grabbing. bright fruit are traded back and forth along with all manner of other items, from the mundane to the practically magical. The day is waning, but you have time to browse a few shops and feed a couple of curious thoughts even with Fritz dragging his heels.]

[You decide to take the risk of stepping out where you can be seen and attempt another friendly greeting. The bird-creature makes a chirruping sound as its ears perk up and its eyes flick toward you. It pauses for a moment, only its head bobbing side to side as if to examine you from new angles before it seems to decide on its next course of action. The pudgy griffin launches itself toward you, taking to the sky within only a pawful of steps. Oops. Good thing you started out so far away just in case you needed to run! It'll give you enough time to make your next choice.]

I can win this fight if I strike first!]|[Oh no! I must have seemed too threatening. I'll just play dead, and maybe it will leave me alone.]|[Well, I tried to play nice. Time to get serious! A creature like this could be useful if I can capture it!]

[You draw closer to the potions stand and are enveloped by a wave of aromas, most of which are delightful to the senses. You think you smell the seaside, wildflowers, fruits, and even something that reminds you of warm fur. Although, that might just be the goon working the stall now that you think of it, haha... in any case, the merchant brightens at your presence and welcomes you to browse their wares. As you do, you ask about what they do. It seems most are just similar to perfume or incense, a pleasant smell to have around, or to drink. There are a few, though, that you take note of when the shopkeeper describes them.]
