saki felt a nudge on his arm, bringing his attention to the stream of people heading off the ship onto island. he weaved himself through the crowd, sighing contentedly at the feeling of the warm sand on his feet. he kept himself to the side, clenching his pass around his neck. he looked down at the hearing impaired sign and fiddled with it.

saki perked up at the line of people heading to the tidepool. curious, he wandered over to take a look, finding himself an empty spot along the rim of the pool. little kids were sticking their hands inside, turning over rocks, in search of something. saki thought perhaps they dropped a bracelet or so, and begun peeling up rocks as well. he hefted a particular red rock, digging his nails into something.. fleshy? leaping back, saki fell on his tush with a starfish clung to his hand!

a boy shoved his way thru the forming crowd, raising sakis arm up and shouting excitedly, smiling. he motioned to his badge, to which the young boy pointed at the starfish, emphasizing.

saki just nodded and smiled, happy to get the sticky sea creature off of him.

Timothy bounded over as Pip gingerly extracted a large starfish from one of the tide pools. Curiously, one of its arms had grown to twice the length of the others, giving it a lopsided appearance that Pip immediately found endearing.

"Woah, cool," exclaimed Timothy, his eyes gleaming as they took in the starfish, "it's a shooting star!"

Now that Pip looked at it again, he could see what Timothy was referring to- the bigger arm looked almost like the tail of a comet. Pip gently handed it over to Timothy, who placed it back in the tide pool.

"Bye, Comet."
