Cody, admittedly, is always a little wary of any and all wildlife (though often it's more out of keeping the creatures safe and at ease than his own anxieties). The time spent on his first couple of days on this cruise-gone-wrong was no exception, especially due to the drastic change in scenery; the poor Kalon was almost constantly on-edge. Wanting to take the opportunity to calm his nerves, Cody decided to make his way to the beach. As he stood there in the ever-darkening dusk sky, willing his toes into the sand, his eye was caught by a small hermit crab ambling across a rock. He took the time to watch it for a while, having not encountered anything of the sort back in his home in the forests.
Small, and shy but with the ability to fight back if need be....
It reminded Cody of himself.

Aldwin rubbed her paws together, waiting for her answer to come to her. "I don't really have the widest array to choose from. I know about a few creatures, but keep in mind everything I know is from books." She paused, glancing out at the waters. "Although, based on the information I have, I would say sea snails. They can always just take shelter from the world, tuck themselves back inside their little homes and not have to deal with anything. Nice and cozy." She muttered before shaking her head. "Sorry kind of drifted a bit out of it there. But yeah, sea snails are pretty cute with their little... tentacle antenna things and all."

"Hmm.." He hums, considering his answer. He hasn't had much experience with beaches or its inhabitants, as he spends most of the year among the bustling city lights. "Perhaps... a sea urchin?" You look at him a little oddly. Why that? "I like how.. pokey they are." He makes a sort of squishing motion with his fingers. "Unassuming but dangerous." You can tell by looking at him that he seems to relate.

Dahlia grinned at Timothy. “Watch this!” She winked, before whistling a 4 note tune. Silence. Then, the 4 note melody was returned and a small, bright green & black bird flew out from the forested area. Dahlia repeated the melody, the bird returned it before coming to land on a rock near the Kalon pair. “I have no idea what they are, but aren’t they pretty? They make me feel like a Disney Princess!” She giggled as she watched Timothy’s stunned face.

Ocelots, her favorites were the sleek, spotted, little ocelots that curiously peaked up from behind rocks and things to see what was going on. Cats of any kind, while having the ability to be incredibly ungraceful and severely undignified, still carried an elegance, an certain balance that always shone through even during their less proud moments, and that was what drew her to them. They weren't her favorite creature, her favorite creature wasn't of this earth, but she still adored them, and she hoped she be able to approach one soon, and have the ability to maybe pet one, they must feel so silky. They were wild animals, that she knew, so petting them probably wasn't the best course of action. Regardless, she enjoyed getting the little glimpses she did of them, and seeing the differences in their beautiful spots. Whatever painted them did so with a skill and beauty no mortal hands or paws could ever posses, something that was present with all of nature. It always looked just so, perfectly placed, each thing where it was meant to be, but with no order to it, and no pattern someone could recreate. That was part of why she loved ocelots, too.
