when shen saw the weasel he flipped out. He thought he had killed the little thing. he began to panick and pulled out his bracelet with the stone rubbing it to try and help calm him down, but with the source of his discomfort still there he just couldn't calm down.
pyper immediately drew her sword ready to fight the creatures, worried for shen who was currently freaking out beyond what was probably normal. She was about to slash at them when mason stopped her. She looked over, curious of what he was thinking and leaned down to he what he had to say.
Mason began to whisper to his mama. "what if we just talked to them. it seems unreasonable and unnecessary to just kill them like that after all" he watched as pyper nodded and took a step towards the small hord of creatures and began to talk. he asked what was wrong, why the weasel wanted the ring, what it would take for them to leave and if they would leave. although he knew that they wouldn't/couldn't speak he continued to talk anyway. eventually the monsters began to leave, wether from boredom or because they understood him and felt no need to cause anything.
then tehre was just the weasel and a few other smaller harmless creatures. he stepped back shrugging. His mom could do whatever now.
pyper had properly.. disposed of the weasel and whatever creatures remained and looked over to briceus.

    Quest response;;
Eyes widen as the male notices the creatures creating an ever growing chaos outside of the tavern, with an intent on getting on. Without even thinking, the male pulls out his folded crossbow, lightning fast, and sweeps it open. He pauses, however, at the thought of dealing with the monsters in a rather permanent way right in front of the tavern, where the public eye could see him. At that thought, Jia-Ae almost reluctantly puts away his crossbow.

If he's going to protect people and get rid of the monster, the male didn't want to be framed as a killer as a double effect. He thinks for a moment, before Jia-Ae pulls out his sword instead, and lets it glint in the moonlight.

Ambling his way out to confront the monsters, he lets his sword shine in the light, reflecting in the monsters' directions and watch keenly for a moment. A part of him had hoped for the monsters to be on there way at the sight of a weapon, but soon it was clear that there was no avail.

Jia-Ae frowned and gave a few false swipes of his sword in alternative, coming close but not close enough. Perhaps a scathe here or there but nothing much more than that.

Suddenly, the monsters flinch and back away slowly, and Jia-Ae's eyes alight with a triumphant glint. But he keeps taking steps, swiping his sword, until the monsters disperse somewhere into the shadows.

Dustin may have been abandoned for the afternoon by his introverted companions, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to have an adventure. The adventure of the best sort at that! The youth grinned foolishly as he watched Briceus and the newcomer hit it off. He was giddy from the success of his new friend and a bit out of breath from the weasel escapades. But the magic ring- yes of course it was magic, just look how it boosted Briceus's confidence- was safely secured once more and working great. The young sell-sword had figured luck would attract luck, and the bar was still dotted with horseshoes and little drawings of ladybugs and bushels of three-leafed clovers- of course the three-leaved clovers were the lucky ones you goof- even as the afternoon drew into the evening. Dustin was one-hundred-and-twenty-three percent sure that everything would be better than alright now!

The redhead could feel the beginnings of a sugar-rush creep up on him as he sipped the malt Briceus had given him. He chattered aimlessly to, or rather at, Briceus and his friend. Mostly about the quest he, Perseus, and Jade were on. They were going to save the world! Wasn't that just the coolest?! The newcomer had smiled and nodded and agreed it was just the coolest- and then asked Dustin if he wanted anything to eat. The eager little quester had been eyeing a local delicacy for quite some time now, but just when Dustin was about to ask for it all chaos broke loose.

A loud crashing came from the entrance, like an overly enthusiastic patron had thrown open the door. But this time instead of the door being slammed against the wall, the door simply wasn't there anymore. And neither was half the front of the tavern! More shrieking filled the air. Some of from patrons, but Briceus's cries were possibly loudest of all- though he bravely stepped in front of the stranger. Dustin took a moment amid the chaos to notice they were holding hands. The ring really was magic!

But all thoughts of magic and good luck flew out of Dustin's brain as the monsters barreled down on the occupants of the bar. Patrons clambered over each other, flocking to the backroom or diving behind the counter. Their weapons lay strewn across the wooden floor, discarded in the haste to hide. A very familiar looking weasel-like monster, though admittedly much bigger and darker and scarier than before, snaps a staff between it's sharp teeth- and then turned to size up Dustin.

"Are these demons?!" The sell-sword squeaked. His voice was higher than it should have been and his legs felt trembly.

Briceus showed the same syndromes. "Yes! They're big scary demons! There's big scary demons in my tavern by golly!" He was brandishing a straw like the pink striped tube could do damage against a lumbering beast. Dustin thought he was fantastic.

But he wasn't in this shocked trance for very long. The weasel was advancing on Briceus and his friend, pushing them back until they were flat against a row of shelves. The stranger hurled their drink into the monster's face in a desperate effort and to everyone's surprise, the creature lurched backwards howling in agony. Its cries only served to antagonize the other monster more and soon the tavern was filled with the sounds of shattering glass and splintering wood.

But for once Dustin's thoughts were moving faster than his body. They weren't very thorough thoughts, nor did they make a great deal of sense even to him but his brain was moving too fast to care. What was it that he had heard? Ghosts didn't like paprika. Or was it salt? No he thought it was pepper. Maybe even cumin? Did ghosts from different countries dislike different things? Perhaps it was a personal preference- oh wait no the creature had retreated from the soda. What was in soda? Bubbles. The bubbles were due to carbohydrates right? Like bread. No it couldn't be the carbonara. But what else was there? Soda was bubbles, water, and-

"Sugar! They don't like sugar!" As if to test his theory Dustin threw his malt with all his might towards the beasts. His aim fell short by a few feet but as the glass broke the liquid went flying and struck the snake beast right in the face. It hissed as if burnt and the whole tavern cheered!

Soon the building was filled with more sounds of shattering glass, but equal was the cacophony of hisses and squeals from the retreating army of demons. Briceus filled projectile after projectile with soda from the kegs, aided by his new friend, and slid them out to the huddled patrons with the skill only a trained barman could. Dustin even managed to nail the weasel with a milkshake before the hoard had given up and retreated.

The tavern was a mess. The day was won. And Dustin still had a happy headache from the excitement and the he had ingested. "Best adventure ever!" The youth exclaimed, pumping his fist in the air. The others echoed his sentiment, even Briceus who didn't seem to mind his whole business had been wrecked. Boy were Jade and Perseus going to wish they hadn't missed this!

Kalons being used;; Chavez - The Knight
Quest response;;

Chavez faced the monsters on the wooden dance floor of the tavern. The area was wide enough to fight and not hurt others. Chavez threw off his dark cloak and revealed his dark golden armor and long fitting dark pants, bound together with a leather belt at his waist and covered by cuisses at his thighs. His face soured with anger at the monsters & weasel who made an unwanted appearance. He slowly drew his longsword from his belt, the blade made a hissing whisper as it was removed from the sheathe. All the while, he was holding the monsters firmly in his gaze. He turned his neck from left to right and popping it with a series of clicks in rapid succession. “Don’t hold back you vile things or I am going to break you.” Chavez snarled at them. Slowly bringing one foot behind his back. He put his weight on it and brought his arms up holding his sword firmly in his grip, in the corner of his eye he saw Briceus and some other folks peeking out from behind the table. He dipped and weaved right, rushing at one of the monsters and slashed downwards with the weapon. The creature hissed, slapping the sword away with it's tail. The swordsman was quick and uppercut slashed at the shadowy creature, attempting to catch it from stem all the way to stern. Quickly, before Chavez could respond with a follow-up, the monster swiftly slammed him in the solar plexus with it's thick tail, knocking the wind out of the swordsman, and stunning him for a brief moment. The quick blow had opened him up for another attack and the second monster obliged him, putting a simple sidekick into the swordsman’s stomach, doubling him over. The crowd watching their fight let out a collective wince for the poor Kalon. Chavez's breathing was heavy. He threw his sword aside, it slid off to the very end of the bar. Taking the open moment and using the environment to his advantage, he back flipped onto the wall and pushed off towards the large snake like creature. The maneuver sent him front flipping towards the opponent and just before he reached it, he flattened his body out, feet first. Instead of colliding with his adversary though, Chavez opted to wrap his feet around the monster's neck instead. His maneuver caught both monsters off guard as it was quick and unexpected. He jerked to the right and swung around the monster. When he was directly behind his opponent, Chavez curled his legs into his body and angled himself towards the ground, changing the direction of his fall, putting the weight of his jump into a powerful throw. The monster was pulled off the ground violently and thrown across the floor. It skidded and tumbled along the ground, uncontrolled. Stopped by the other end of the dance floor, about five feet from the wall at the back of the dance floor. The entire room was silent and it was as if time itself was holding its breath, as Chavez stood facing the collapsed creature. The weasel, with the second monster were standing there stunned by what happened.
"Get lost!" Chavez raised his voice, his fur standing on end. "You leave this town now!"
He turned to glare at the weasel, his eyes burning into the small animal.
"Or you get hurt as well."
Soon after he said that, the weasel quickly whispered something to both monsters. All three instantly scurried away out the door.
Chavez watched after them for a few seconds, as they hurriedly ran through the town streets and out the main gate. He turned to Briceus, and gave a small bow. "I hope those things don't come here again." he said. "It was my honor to help you get rid of them."

Prompt 3

Celestia

With her hands full of mugs, Celestia blinked, "Ok, how is it that a weasel is leading an army of monsters." She slammed the mugs back onto the counter. This weasel had to go, even if she did have a bit of a soft spot for the critter a while ago. Thanks to a shadow bird, a shadow serpent, and that weasel, the bar is in utter ruins, chairs where flipped, tables were turned and everyone was panicking and screaming. The place was in chaos and there was nothing else for her then to be the warrior that she was raised to be.

The Serpent lunged at her from behind, ready to bite down, but Celestia, reacting as fast as she could, grabbed a mug. She spun and smashed it into the left side of its face. She watched it go down as she heard a hard flap in front of her and the Bird monster swooped down at her. Celestia ducked down as instinctively as possible with the talons of the creature, skating across her back. As it pulled up, it knocked over the remaining mugs.

The serpent recovered from mug to the face and wrapped its tail around Celestia’s leg and yanked her towards it. With the same motion, he leaped at her again. Frantic, she grabbed a fallen mug and rammed it into his open mouth, narrowly getting her away in time. The serpent wheezed and shook its head violently, doing what it can to remove the mug. As it struggled, Celestia got to her feet and began scanning the room. She needed something to fight back with. “Anything will work” she thought. Over the fireplace, it caught her eye. A brightly decorative shield hung over two swords sat there mostly untouched. Without hesitation, she dashed towards it. With a familiar flap of wind, the Bird monster crashed down at her. She dodged it, knowing she can’t stop to think about it. Refocusing herself, she made one final leap for the wall mounts. The bird dove in again but missed Celestia and slammed into the serpent, dislodging the mug.

Once to the fireplace, she reached up and grabbed the swords. Try as she might, however, they would not come loose. “Are they stuck to the wall!?” She shouted in irritation. She persisted on moving the swords and shield but nothing. She looked over at the monsters. The bird and serpent were recovering and the weasel was making a lot of noise. “KeKeKeKe” “Sounds like he’s laughing at me and this mess…” Its paws flailing in air didn’t help her imagination at all. “He is definitely laughing at me…”

Celestia was not amused with the weasel and sighed heavily. Seeing the monsters get back up, she focused herself and grabbed a wooden chair. With a deafening battle cry she threw the chair with all her might. It hit both the bird and serpent and shattered on impact. As it stunned them, Celestia notice a barrel rack just behind them with a few large barrels. She grinned and bolted towards it. Once she got to it, she saw a gap between the wall and the rack and quickly squeezed between them. Far enough in, she began to push the two apart and tip the rack. The weight of the barrels rapidly took over and came crashing down on the duo monsters. The bird narrowly dodged the rack by rushing into the air but the serpent was not as lucky. The barrel rack crushed it. The serpent flailed in pain and screeched until it fell limp. Just as it hit the ground again, it dissipated into a dark smoke such as shadow monsters do when they die. “Laugh at that!” Celestia shouted at the weasel.

Apparently, the weasel understood and started waving its paws violently, like a fist. “KeKeKe KeKe!” It sounded a lot more agitated as it barked orders to its bird-brained minion. The bird eyed Celestia before it dove straight in for an attack. She dove out of the way to avoid it but was clipped by its beak and hit one of the tables. Her shoulder bled slowly and her head felt dazed. “Ow…” she whispered. The bird made a pass over head and as Celestia looked up she noticed the dimly lit antler chandelier barely hanging on to the ceiling. Immediately she began searching for something to throw. The bird took notice of her moving and dove down again. It missed but it was too close for comfort. As it swung back up under the antlers, Celestia grabs a barrel lid and flings it at the rope. The bird didn’t dodge, thinking it wasn’t going to hit but it was never meant for it. The lid made contact with the rope and it snapped. The antler chandelier dropped right on the bird piercing its back. As it hit the ground, dark smoke escaped from the impact. The loud thud as it hit echoed in the now silence bar.
The Weasel stood there wide eyed and in shock. Whatever thoughts it had were fading just like the smoke from its last shadow monster. It could not move until it heard the distinct sound of someone getting off the ground. Celestia finally picked herself off the ground. “Okay, rat! It’s payback time now!” The weasel’s heart was racing and quickly curled up into a ball of fur. As Celestia stumbled over to it, the weasel saw its only moment of escape. In desperation, it squealed and darted off towards the door and out of the bar. Barely able to hold herself up, she hobbled over the doorway and leaned against the frame. Her body was now throbbing in pain and was too weak to chase the weasel. She sighed, “So much for a relaxing drink tonight…”

Re: Briceus's Side Quest !! -> Day 3 OPEN

Postby néktar » Thu Jun 29, 2017 6:01 pm

[ username; néktar ∙ kalons featured; ginko ─ the monk & eniko ─ the healer ]

    Imagelittle beady black eyes: [ 2,257 ]
ginko smiled to himself as he watched briceus begin to enjoy his night with the stranger, he glanced over at the glasses over the bar and thought about sneaking some but shook his head. he remembered that liqueur never had sat well with him. he glanced around the tavern all seemed at peace and he thought of leaving when a sudden chill ran down his back. he slowly drew his gaze over to the window and there... there is where he saw them. those little.. black.. beady eyes.. of the weasel.. ginko immediately knew it was bad news, as soon as he noticed the little furry snake it disappeared. gi's head snapped towards the door as his heart started to race in his chest. what will you do?

✧ run! you could make a dash for the door and get out of there.
✧ go a find a good hiding place.
✦ warn everyone in the tavern and stand your ground.
✧ do nothing, what is the weasel gonna do? it's like 4 inches tall!

ginko steeled himself and grabbed his khakkhara [ monk staff ] from beside him, he hopped to his feet. he knew better then to underestimate this rodent, something in it's eyes told him not to. it was pure evil. he took a quick look around the tavern before making the threat known, "we got bad news coming!" his voice was loud enough to reach everyone over the warm hum of chattering. all at once everyone conversation stopped and he heard the sharp clinking of weapons and the muffled thumping of boots hitting the wooden floor. then everything was silent. ginko stood slightly crouched with his khakkhara held out in front of him, the rings slid down the metal with a soft clink. everyone waiting, looking at the door holding there breath. ginko's blood rushed through his ears and he could swear everyone heard his heart beating in his chest. then there came a rough thump, something hit the door, then silence. no one flinched at the noise, a louder thump came from the door, this time they all saw the wood flinch from the weight knocking against the door. what will you do?

    ✧ open the door.
✦ wait and continue to stand your ground.

ginko gritted his teeth and his grip tightened on his khakkhara. then everything went still as death, and in one sudden moment the door burst open and black shadows poured in from the street. horned birds fluttered in violently flapping their wings and cawing, they dived down clawing at anyone and everyone they laid their soulless eyes on. in the flurry ginko noticed that black snakes and rabbit wolf shadows flowed in after the birds, they were meant to distract them from the others that were flowing in. gi immediately ducked under to avoid the sharp black claws of birds that constantly dove at him. he waved around his khakkhara and smacked away all birds that came close to it, they lit up from the touch of the staff and burned from the inside out. ginko smirked as he began hitting most of the birds out of the air, avoiding a few arrows from others along the way. he glanced around as he hit one of the last shadow birds out of the sky, when he turned around to see a large shadow hound grip his leg in his teeth. ginko let out a loud cry of pain as it's teeth tore through his leg and he was dragged to the ground. in this instance he dropped his khakkhara and it bounced away with three loud clangs. he looked at in horror then back down at the black hound tearing through his leg as it violently shook it's head. what should you do?

✦ reach for your khakkhara, it's the only way to get free!
✧ try to shake off the hound!

ginko outstretched his hand, pulling himself forward to try and get to his staff. he knew that if he tried to shake off the hound he would only worsen his wound on his leg. he grunted as he felt the tug of the hound, but he kept pulling himself towards his weapon, he almost had it in his reach when it was swiftly dragged away. he let out a gasp of dismay as he looked for what had taken his khakkhara, his eyes were met with the weasel's little black orbs and a cheekily evil smile on it's face. it disappeared into the sea of shadows and feet, with the staff dragging behind it. ginko hit the floor with his fist and cried out again in pain, the hound hadn't let up, he looked down at the creature on his leg with tears in his eyes. he didn't know what to do, he was helpless.

    ───

eniko had followed the path to a shadow ridden town, her hands shook as she felt all the pent up souls that were here, floating around. she avoided them all, she kept her head down staring at her feet as she quickly walked through the streets, she hopped to find somewhere to rest soon. her feet were aching and she wasn't sure how much longer she could go. she stopped before a sign that pointed in different directions. to the left armory and to the right tavern, she grumbled feeling frustrated, is there no inn here?! she cried in her head. she looked around hesitantly, she didn't want to have to ask for help finding an inn or having to stay the night at a complete strangers house.. or worse.. spend the night out in the woods. already here she could feel souls trying to grab at her empty shell of a body, to possess her and use her to fulfill their dying needs. just as she was to go towards the armory she heard a loud cry and saw a flurry of shadows flowing down the pathway to the tavern. she watched them disappear behind the corner, she bit her lip lightly. what do you choose to do?

✧ fall to your knees in despair and wait for someone to come help you.
✦ follow the shadow creatures, it might lead to help.
✧ avoid the shadow creatures, it's just bad news.

eniko took a shaky breath before running down the path way deciding to follow the creatures, thinking maybe she could get help, or that maybe she be the help needed. she rushed down the path following close behind the dark creatures that skittered along the ground. luckily she was not directed by them, they looked as though they were heading to a frenzy or something. eniko stopped to catch her breath near a lamp post as the creatures turned and flashed into the tavern, the loud clanging of metal and cries from inside told her exactly what was going on. she stood there pulling at her fingers nervously, what will you do?

✧ turn back, you can't do anything.
    ✧ burst into tears.
✦ go inside, they need your help!

eniko gathered up the courage she desperately needed at this point in her life. she grabbed a small knife she had in her belt and swiftly walked into the tavern. she was met with a flurry of fur, shadow, and metal. she stood in the door way stunned, she looked around trying to find something to help with when she noticed someone on the floor being attacked by hounds. he looked as though he was in excruciating pain and needed desperate assistance. she went over to him quickly, she screamed as a few snakes hissed at her but were quickly taken out by a few arrows from across the tavern. once she steeled herself once more she rushed over to the hound and the writhing stranger. you need to get rid of the hound! what should you use?

✧ dried lotus petals. [ give off a sweet aroma when mixed with water, saps up poisons ]
✦ hibiscus liquid. [ hibiscus flower smashed into liquid, dispels spirits ]
✧ spider poppers. [ herbs that often get stuck to any surface when shell is broken, sucks in everything and anything ]
✧ damp herbs. [ used to make tea ]

eniko quickly grabbed the vile of liquid she had packed in her satchel, she popped open the cap and quickly splashed the hound with the water. the hound growled and it's dark shadow sizzled under the liquid, it dropped the strangers leg and turned towards her growling and bearing it's black fangs. eniko stood there frozen in fear, she didn't know what to do. the hound was about to leap on her when the stranger grabbed it's legs and held it down to the ground. he yelled something at her but she didn't hear, he yelled again.
"try something else! hurry!" his voice now reached her and she fumbled once more with her satchel. what will you try next?

✧ dried lotus petals. [ give off a sweet aroma when mixed with water, saps up poisons ]
✦ spider poppers. [ hibiscus flower smashed into liquid, dispels spirits ]
✧ damp herbs. [ used to make tea ]

eniko threw the spider poppers at the hound, the broke open against the shadow and then latched on it with sharp barbs. the hound howled in pain and ran off as soon as the stranger let go of it's legs. it disappeared into a plume of smoke as a silver sword cut it's body in half. eniko breathed out then rushed towards the stranger who was holding his leg. she grabbed healing herbs and a bandage from her satchel and helped him. there was still chaos all around them both, she looked at the stranger softly. "m-my name is eniko.." the stranger greeted her politely, ginko was his name. she nodded her head and looked around them it seemed that the shadows just kept coming and wouldn't stop. eniko so felt a hand on her should and she turned back to ginko, "i need you to get my khakkhara from the weasel." his voice was urgent but she was concerned he might have lost a lot of blood and was delirious, but he noticed her confusion and spoke again. "i don't have time to tell you about the weasel but the khakkhara is my staff, the weasel has it find it and bring it to me quickly!" eniko nodded still very confused. she left ginko there hidden under the table. she stood up and looked along the ground for a furry rodent. she heard a loud clang and a few crashes of shattering glass from behind the bar counter. she rushed over and saw the weasel was running behind it on the floor with the staff dragging wildly behind it, smacking off glasses from the shelf. grab the khakka thingy?

✦ yes! before it gets away.
✧ no, what if it isn't the right weasel?!

eniko had no time to over think it, she quickly reached behind the counter and grabbed the staff as it bounced up. she quickly snatched it up but the weasel kept a sharp grip on the top of it. eniko squeaked as she saw the little weasel dangling from the large ring and clawing at the metal angrily. how will you remove the weasel?

    ✧ pull him off!
    ✦ shake him off!
    ✧ use an item.

eniko once again didn't have the time to fool around, he quickly flung the staff around dislodging the the weasel and sending it soaring across the tavern and hitting a wall with an ironic squeak. she held the staff close to her as she watched it feeling kind of bad but then remembered her duty and brought the staff to ginko who was still under the table.

    ───

ginko watched at the skittish female run towards her with his khakkhara, she handed to his with shaky hands. he took it quickly then painfully pulled his damaged leg over his other to sit in his meditation pose. he slid himself out from under the table and sat with one hand on his staff and the other forming a symbol of prayer. he felt eniko close beside him and her eyes on his closely, he was thankful she had showed up when she did. he wasn't sure what would have happened to him if she had not came in. he then dipped his head and closed his eyes, uttering several renditions of a dispelling prayer. he then grabbed his khakkhara and made a large slash in the air, and all at once each of the shadowy creatures appeared with a slash through their dark body then burned away immediately.

ginko took a breath after the last shadow burned, he slumped against his staff feeling light headed but mustered enough strength to speak. "can someone please get that stupid weasel!" he groaned and saw eniko shoot up and run over to where she had flung it earlier, she grabbed it by the scruff of it's neck. it was dazed from hitting the wall but docile knowing there was no use in fighting any longer. ginko gave it a harsh look before passing out on the floor. eniko knelt beside him and made sure he was still breathing, she looked at the weasel and it looked at her with big round eyes, she figured that this was somehow it's fault. she frowned and scolded it, "bad weasel!"

Kalons Being Used: Roster Post Link - Cosona

Cosona watched in shock as a flood of monsters poured into the tavern and began to terrorize the guests. “Oh m-my!” She exclaimed in a choked-back voice, falling backwards. A large serpent-like creature slithered in front of her and displayed its hulking, venomous fangs angrily. Cosona's eyes widened. She didn't know how to react, and sat frozen in place. Just before the serpent was about to strike, a chair flew across the room and smacked the serpent in the head, knocking it out and to the floor.

Cosona turned her head, but she couldn't see who threw the chair in the commotion of the tavern. She quickly stood to her paws, and formulated a plan of action. If she could take out the leader of these monsters, perhaps the rest of them would simply scatter away. She eyed the tavern and looked for what she would assume to be the leader.

The last thing she would expect to discover – the weasel from before was leading the monsters! She caught sight of the little beast across the room, directing a basilisk to cause havoc.
“You little-” She started, but shook her head. “I don't have time for this.” She continued to herself, and lightly stepped her way through the chaos to the other end of the room.

Well that was simple enough, she thought. The weasel didn't notice as Cosona silently stepped behind it and grabbed it in her mouth. She ran outside with the weasel and set it down to teach it a lesson...

“What were you thinking causing chaos like that? How did you even-” Cosona began to lecture the critter, when suddenly...

It's eyes....are glowing? Cosona thought, as she watched the weasel's eyes shift and glow oddly. It seemed to have been possessed, and forced to direct the monsters. The weasel shook its head, its eyes returned to normal and it scurried off. Though, the tavern was still crawling with monsters.

“Aw heck.” Cosona said, rushing back in. More than half of the guests had evacuated, but some were still being tormented by the monsters. “That's enough!” Cosona yelled, and the monsters turned to her. Their eyes bled into Cosona's skin, and she gulped. She ran further into the tavern, and turned to face the bulk of the monsters. “Shoo!” She yelled out. The monsters were unconvinced. Cosona's ears lowered, and her eyes dimmed.

What am I supposed to do? I'm not strong enough to take care of all of them...

….

Cosona shook her head at herself. What am I saying? I have to do something! I can't let this happen! It was then that Cosona realized – [Cosona's “class” is a water mage in this world as mentioned in the first prompt response] that's it! This tavern is filled with beverages and liquids. I can take out these monsters by force!

Cosona lifted her front paws and closed her eyes tightly for a moment, before returning her gaze to the area around her. She pulled the liquids from every source she could sense, and condensed the material into a ball in front of her. She directed the ball of liquid across the room, crashing into the various monsters and forcefully pulling them out of the tavern.

Cosona looked back over the tavern. The place was wrecked, it would take weeks – maybe months, to fix everything. She sighed. If only she'd acted sooner, maybe it wouldn't have been this bad. She wasn't quite used to being a mage just yet, she'd just gotten a grip on water manipulation just before her adventure started.

Though, at least no one was seriously hurt.
