Hmmm.. well we, the adopters, can only breed if artists open slots, and they don't have to open breedings if they don't want to. There could maybe be a general breeding rule that doesn't allow you to send a breeding to the same artist twice in a row. Maybe that would help? We could still send breedings but we would be limited, and the artists would have less pressure to open since some people wouldn't be able to send to them anyway.

It's a good idea, but I can already see flaws. Some artists only do a select number of breedings. If you can't send a breeding to the same person twice, you might miss out on breedings altogether. Not only that, but sometimes only one artist is ever open for breedings while everyone else is closed or has full slots and then goes on hiatus (Rey and dragon are examples of that). I can see the effectiveness, but I do see many drawbacks.

What I think would work is for everyone to have a limit on how many they may breed each month. Perhaps if the user may only breed twice a month and artists three or four times a month might help. This will decrease the breeding demand each month and give artists a higher chance at getting a breeding done for themselves. I've seen this work for certain lines such as Westrossa Mustangs. You can only breed a certain amount each month and the artists get one or two more chances than the community.

Also, Neri, when does your artist search end? I might try out a few designs.

You don't have to send in a breeding just because an artist is open and you can. You're sending in a lot of breedings if you send in a breeding to every single artist every time they open. Jes' idea might work but I still think that would be a lot of breedings. I think there still has to be a set number of breedings either per horse or per user or something

But people can have an outside life too and some people get a breeding everytime and slots fill up before people newer to the community can have a chance to get one. I think the rule of having a breeding one round and not the next is a good idea

But also getting some artists specifically for breedings would be good too

I don't quite understand that last paragraph with user breedings and artists breedings? That just seems like it would make it more confusing.

I know that I have my own rule of I won't accept your breeding if you sent in one last round to try to be able to get different people thier breedings. So that it's not the same people every time.

What I am saying is that regular adopters get two breedings a month. Staff can have up to four breedings a month. For example, since I am not staff I can only have up to two breedings a month (and that resets every month, IT DOES NOT CARRY OVER), but because you are a staff member, you get four breedings a month.

If you can send in a breeding once per every 2 rounds, it lowers the amount of breedings that are done. Besides, KF is only getting bigger. The amount of breedings is really not going to get smaller. More and more people join the community daily and they'll all send breedings. There really already is a set number of horse breedings: the cooldowns allow a maximum of 4 breedings per horse per month.

And wasn't this debate originally about removing banned horse cooldown?
For that, I say that we should punish the person who sent the breeding, not the horse. If you breed a horse twice in a week, then you couldn't send in any breedings within a certain period of time. But the owner of the horse wouldn't be punished for someone else's mistakes.

1) again, even with the cool down everyone get's confused. The cool down is only to a specific horse. Not the owner. This way owners are restricted to 2 breedings a month. With a growing community the cooldown could apply to adopts and foals. You have to own a regular adopt horse for a week and a bred foal for two before you can breed them. Then on top of that everyone only gets two breedings a month and has to wait for both breedings to be finished from the previous month before they can send in more for the next month. Either way we are going to need more artists for breedings specifically.

staff - 4 breedings a month
adopters - 2 breedings a month
foal - 2 week cooldown
adopt - 1 week cooldown

This here will lessen the amount of breedings that everyone can get, NOT the actual demand. This will allow new users the opportunity to breed their horses more often. I'm not sayng that the demand will lessen, I'm just merely saying that everyone won't be able to breed as often. We were talking about the current cooldown resticting the breedings to 4 a month, however, that is to the horse SPECIFICALLY and not the owner. We need to think about how to restrict the breedings of OWNERS not the actual horse. Therefore owners are restricted in this case to 2 (or 4 for staff). This will open up more opportunities for EVERYONE and not just the horse.

AT this time I could still send in multile breedings without it killing my cooldowns. I could send in a request to Ezai, Undyne, and Pinto with three different sets of horses. With this breeding restriction I would only be able to send in two sets per month and would have to wait for both to be finished before I could send in another two for the next month.

2) I can see how the punishment of the owner would be fair, however you might have to investigate the situation too. I myself have had two horses bred without my knowing. If I had allowed someone to breed that horse not knowing it was already bred, I could get in serious trouble. I would say that both party members need to be investigated before they are accused of double breeding. With that being said, we also need to try to let others know when we have sent in breedings.

3) Either way we need more artists.

all changes will go active on the 12.1.
all parents on cooldown will still have a full 4 time limit from the start of december and the cooldown will get ignored, foals send in comps or adventures before 12.1. will still be able to take part, but no new foal can enter
i would like to make it like this:
- horses get a limit to breed 4 times a month, they don't get a cooldown anymore and the limit will reset every 1. of the new month. no take over.
- users get a limit to breed 3 times a month, this will reset every 1. of the month and no take over is given. i would prefer that no user has more then 2 active breedings, but i will not make this as a rule to prevent pushing the artists in doing their breeding. also i would prefer you to not send in a breeding to the same artist twice in a row and let others have a chance too.
- foals will not be able to take part in breedings, competitions and adventures for 2 weeks from the day they are born
- i will open the artist search in the next days: searching for 2 main artists (doing both), 3 adoptable artists and 3 breeding artists
every artist can feel free to change their position anytime, but they need to inform me beforehand

i will see how this is going, the cooldown center will now be the center of the users writing down their breedings from the month, quoting to the active breeding or to the done foal they had in the active month, they can reset it in the 1. of every month.
you aren't forced to update the cooldown center but you must keep track of your limit!
- going against the user limit will result in a warning, these will stack after more insults
- going against the horse limit will result in a 1 month ban of the horse from breeding, i will keep this because with the 4 breedings per month it is easyer to keep track and accidents are more less to appear
