Dragons BRT Breeding Methods

Postby BluebonnetBree » Tue Aug 04, 2015 11:24 am

This thread is to explain how I determine if a gene or mutation passes on to offspring.
Please respect how I do these and don't complain if it isn't how another artist does it as that will only get your breeding declined c:

Postby BluebonnetBree » Tue Aug 04, 2015 11:51 am

CHIMERIC

To successfully have a foal with chimeric I use the marble generator.
In order for a foal to have chim they need to roll a blue marble.

I enter 5 red, 5 green, and 1 blue for a breeding that has only one chimeric parent as shown below.

For a breeding that has two chimeric parents I enter 5 red, 5 green, and 2 blue as shown below.

Other Genes

Postby BluebonnetBree » Tue Aug 04, 2015 12:33 pm

OTHER GENES

To successfully have a foal with any of the genes below I use the list generator from random.org.
    Watermark (only for greys)
    Bloodmark/Bloody Shoulder
    Rabicano
    Sooty
    Pangare/Mealy
    Flaxen/Blonde
    Gulustra Plume
    Badger Face
    Birdcatcher Spots
    Chubari Spots
    Bend-Or/Grease Spots
    Lacing
In order for a foal to have any the genes above they need to get a "Yes".
This method is repeated if a parent has more than one of the genes above.

I enter "Yes" and "No" for a breeding that has only one parent that has one of the genes I listed as shown below.

For a breeding that has two parents with a shared gene from the ones I listed I enter 2 "Yes" and only 1 "No" as shown below.
