Phantom has a troubling relation with other Makoatls because of their shady appearance. The others struggle with defining their appearance, so they don't really know how to handle them very well, especially since they never go up to any other Makos anyways.
Although they want to talk with Phantom sometimes, it's hard to define the mystifying Mako, with their changing... well, everything. Personality, physical being, everything. Phantom tries to make friends but it seems like they avoid them a lot of times due to not sure how to approach and react to them.
This Mako also has a reputation for manipulation into getting some others to try to become their friend because of the fear of being alone, so others are fearful of this side, and try their best to stay safe and away when Phantom is going through this phase.
What the other Makos don't know though is that the reason why Phantom does this is because they're lonely, they can't help it really.
{ Enviroment }
Phantom lives in the middle of nowhere in a small western town in the desert. The town itself is much like what you would see in a western movie but a lot more technologically advanced, a power plant and satellite field just a few miles down for protection. Occasionally they have massive sandstorms that cause them to have to go underground, but for the most part they don't do much damage to the buildings because they all were fortified on the inner walls with plaster to keep them up.
The weather is exactly what you would find in a desert; hot. But only during the day, the nights get so cold they can sometimes drop down to as low as -6 degrees Fahrenheit. When it rains it rains a lot, but this town is constantly prepared for the worst, having storm drains set up everywhere and barriers you can lock around your doors in case of flood and no outside basement doors attached to the ground! Smart thinking, citizens.
Phantom has a job at the local crafts store because they know they can get a heck of a discount just for working there on everything. How? The shop owner is a really nice elderly woman that took care of Phantom when they were younger and we're all alone in the middle of the desert. She's blind so she can't see that half of Phantom is a mirage, but that's why she's still so nice to Phantom, and she even still takes care of them from time to time.
Phantom's apartment is high enough off the ground in case of flood but low enough from the threats of sand storms tearing through. Even though they've been told the top of the building would not tear off they are not taking any chances! It's a small studio since they live alone with the occasional visits, and it's right above their work and below their boss/care taker so it's very convenient. Despite their creative abilities, the apartment is very vanilla with the white walls and plush cream colored carpets and solid color tan couches and chairs, it's very simple. When you look around closely is when you notice the small decorations here and there that are stunning through small and few. The hand sewn pillows, the table cloth with small sea shells tied at the edges, the mirror that appears to have tentacles wrapping around its edges. And their room is very plush and comfortable, lots of beach colors with vibrant blues, and tons of beach-like decorations. There are beads everywhere.
