People can use it to get art of more than 8 characters. Say a person has their 8 characters up, but they get a new one. Their secret santa has already ordered *loads* of art of the first 8 characters, but the person switches out one or more of their characters and now the secret santa has a whole new character+ to get art of. That's unfair.

Alternatively, if you have fewer than 8 characters, but your secret santa has already ordered many art pieces of the characters you *do* have up, and you add another, they may feel obligated/like they have to get art of that character too even though they already bought you a lot of art.

I know the minimum amount of gifts for your person is 2 pieces and 1 design. But I was wondering what the normal amount of gifts is? This is my first year and I don't want to disappoint my person. (I've already made over the amount of art and have one design done. I also have ordered a few pieces and 2 colour ins.) Also, I was wondering if it's expected we order art for them? Like I said I've ordered a few pieces but I had planned on doing most myself.

To answer this, there is no "normal amount". Everyone does this differently.
It's whatever you decide to give, as long as it's on or above the minimum.
And of course it's fine if you do it yourself, you don't have to order art if you don't want to ^^

I'm also considering doing another character, but i procrastinate so bad. However if someone is interested in perhaps doing a characters collab and can open psd files, maybe we can work together, I can help do some with with yours if you help me
^ what I mean is that perhaps if both you and I have PSD ability (I cannot use oekaki) We could put our heads together for my SS and yours. Someone can do sketches on one or the other, can share lining or however you want to split it, and we can work on each other's designs/accessories. That might sound a little complicated but it sounded like a good idea to me so i figured I'd share it
