Grace groans as he regains consciousness, feeling a bump on the back of his head. He was rushing to pass his final project for his last class, trying to get it in before the deadline, and this professor wanted everything physical. With his printed papers in hand, he ran to reach the school building, and this is where the slippery accident occurred. It was so comical how he cartoonishly slipped on a perfectly placed banana peel that he got secondhand embarrassment at the thought, ignoring the fact that his current surroundings had changed drastically. He finally looked up after a long moment of reflection and was quickly taking in his surroundings. Everything looked...blocky. The leaves from the trees, the animals walking around him, and even himself. He looked at his arm in horror. He's all blocky too?! Panic set in, and he was about to book it when he realized where he was transported to, "Minecraft??"

Grace was so busy with his studies that he rarely played games, but everyone and their mothers knew what Minecraft was. It blew up on every social media platform. How can he miss it? He knew the basics of the game; he especially knew what would happen at night, and seeing how the sun was slowly but surely setting, he felt his heart beat quicken. Blood pressure spiking at the thought of a creeper chasing him around, so he hurriedly punched the ground to get as many dirt blocks as he could and quickly made a dirt home that only fits him. He plans to stay there until he wakes up from his dream, but completely forgets about the hunger mechanic, where he'll need to leave his safe place soon to eat. For now, He's just quietly staring at a dirt wall, praying this bad dream would end. Maybe getting bonked in the head might help with that, but how does that work in Minecraft?

NotASponsor had no idea how he ended up here, heck- he didn't even know where here was. All he did know was that he had been pulled from the ocean, surrounded by Flounders and Sardines, by some farmer with a fishing pole, and he had been stuck in their pocket ever since. He could hear cheerful summer-y themed music playing from somewhere and blinked his eyes against the light as he was taken out and set on... the counter of a saloon?

"Gus, take a look at this! I found this thing in the ocean." The farmer said, speaking to a man behind the counter who was wiping down some glasses. "It looks like a Joja Cola but... Joja Colas don't blink, or have ears."

The farmer reached out, turning NotASponsor this way and that as the other person -Gus- peered closer.

"Not a brand I've seen before." He commented offhand, shrugging a shoulder. "Could be some fancy new promotion Joja Mart is putting out."

The farmer narrowed their eyes, staring at him curiously. "So... the first can of its kind..."

"Think we can donate it to the museum? :D"

Dart #4470

Dart blinks awake in a forest clearing, looking around in confusion. Warm sun streams down through the break in the trees, bathing the clearing in midday light. He doesn't recognize this place at all.

He jumps up at a loud roar from somewhere in the trees, picking up his sword from the ground next to him. The ground rumbles and branches shake as something moves around. The rumbling grows closer until a creature bursts into the clearing. The creature stops on the other side of the clearing from Dart, just long enough for him to get a look at it. It looks like a lion, but it's much bigger and a row of spikes line its back. The creature roars and fixes its gaze on Dart, rushing at him. He lifts his sword and lets instinct take over, slashing at the charging animal. The sword cuts through easily, and the creature dissolves into pixels. "Huh?"

After a moment, there is nothing left of the fearsome beast. A blue crystal sits on the ground where the creature just was. Dart picks it up and holds it up to the light. It sparkles faintly. He admires it for a moment, then places it in his bag. He hefts his sword and cautiously leaves the clearing, keeping an eye out for any other dangers. He walks for a while before hearing something and quietly sneaks towards the noise. It's another spiked lion creature. This time, he attacks it from behind before it even notices him. It dissolves just like the previous one, leaving behind another crystal.

Dart grins, excited. He was made to swing his giant sword, after all! He wanders the forest for a while, taking down various creatures and collecting gems. He reaches a cave after some time and goes in, hoping to find some shelter. Instead, a huge lizard-like face stares at him from the shadows above him. Dart raises his sword, watching. The creature swoops down and Dart barely manages to roll out of the way as a plume of fire escapes its mouth. With nowhere to run, Dart takes a deep breath, raises his sword, and charges with a loud battle cry! He's come this far, he can totally take down a dragon... right?

Not quite best friends but acquaintances that happened to be together in the same place at the time, the three Keepsies got transported into Rain World. Not even keepsies anymore - they're slugcats now - but still clutching their keepsakes like they once did.
The Protector, The Affable and The Mycorrhiza are scugs of unknown origins, brought together by circumstance, and playing off each other rather well.

The Protector, the tough fighter of the group, protects the other two against threats, and stays on guard when they're on the move. Most lizards don't stand a chance- they're not only a threat that must be defeated, but they also make for a good meal, of course.

The Affable is the most agile, and the most well put together. It makes sure everyone stays fed, as well as gets to a shelter before the rains come every night, or scout around if needed with their speed and agility. And if morale is low, that's who keeps it up.

The Mycorrhiza, despite its timid nature, is the most knowledgeable about all the different plants, animals, and fungi they find around. They're how they know how to defeat or overcome threats, or how to tell what is edible or not. And.. maybe possibly poisonous to predators. And as a mushroom creature themselves.. they enjoy a bit of meat.

Extra name stuff if you were curious... slugcats tend to be named "The real word" so I gave them new names! Affable means someone pleasant and easy to talk to, while Mycorrhiza means a symbiotic relationship between a plant and a fungus :)

vammella's special power-up is related to the refraction of light. The name of the power-up is 'Rainbow Light Beam of Butterfly Sunshine Power' which is quite a mouthful. This power enables certain abilities including cosmetic ones! Whether entering a room or standing in the sun, a rainbow of sparkles surround her. The power-up enables her to bend light around her, making her appear invisible to the boss while her butterfly familiars do the majority of the work. The power-up also gives her a massive boost in defensive abilities.

Her main attack is with her three butterfly familiars, which swarm the boss in a fury of blinding yet beautiful colors; which also causing blindness debuffs. The butterflies almost have glass like wings, which cause damage to the boss. With her power-up, she is able to seamlessly dodge attacks even when the boss thinks his attack is right on the mark. vammella has never considered herself much of a fighter. In all honesty, she would like to go back to Stardew Valley.

The final blow on the boss was an increasingly intense battle. She ran, skipped, and hopped all around the arena against the boss. Her power-up was slowly running out of time and her butterflies were starting to tire. She must have dodged at least five blasts from the boss, all the while protecting her familiars and herself. However, what did the boss in was her flying drop kick. Her butterflies swarmed him in a last ditch effort, but as he was blinded and unaware.

vammella was charging up a powerful drop kick! Bang! It suddenly hits him right in the nose. The power-up runs out on fatality and the boss drops special loot! vammella is very pleased, however, very exhausted. She returns home, and remembers the adventure fondly for years to come.

The sun is a powerful tool. Tool? Being? Entity? Solar Storm isn't quite sure what the sun truly is. He's heard it's a ball of gas, he's heard it's a god. Whatever it is, it's blessed him immensely. Fighting is difficult, it always is. Low-life creatures always tend to sniff him out and attempt to end him. Thankfully, Solar Storm has had an upbringing similar to that of a soldier. Well, he doesn't think it was all that great, but at least now he can parade around cities and towns and others will flock to his sides as though he were a general.
With a sigh, Solar Storm rears on their hind legs and shoves the creature away, their cloven hooves doing enough damage that it slows the creature. They think this is the last one and they can continue along the path uninterrupted. They wrap their tail around their precious glass marble and trot enough to get away from the dreadful being. What they don't notice is passing the creature, their marble glows and burns the creature alive. All Solar Storm can tell is there seems to be a smell of a roast in the air. They mentally wish a good meal to whoever they believe is cooking.
Of course, things don't go as planned. Solar Storm nearly falls to the ground as what appears to be an earthquake ravages the ground. It wraps its tail around its marble tighter as it bends its knees and looks around. It has to be prepared to run if a rockslide starts. As it appears, a rockslide was the least of its worries. A lindwurm breaches the ground, hissing and growling at Solar Storm. Thankfully, the lindwurrm isn't too large, only twice as big as Solar Storm itself, but it's still an impressive length. Clutching its marble close, Solar Storm decides to make a break for it. It can't beat a lindwurm so it has to outrun it. As the lindwurm goes to grab Solar Storm with one of its claws, it rears back with a roar of pain. Only now does Solar Storm realize just what is happening. It stops and turns to look at the lindwurm before looking at its now glowing marble. Maybe Solar Storm can beat the lindwurm. With a spin and a toss, it launches its marble at the lindwurm, hitting it straight on the head. It couldn't even scream as it burned. Trotting happily, Solar Storm grabs its marble again and finally makes its way down the path uninterrupted, only giving a slight thought to the marble with the power of the sun.
