Hello there, lovelies! c: This here is the trading thread for Foxicats, a wonderful user-made adoptable owned by Hawky<3 and rainstorms. The purpose of the thread is simple: to allow two users to trade their Foxicats with one another.

Step 1

Well, you may be asking, what's wrong with that form, Jag?

A few things:

1. The Foxicats are mixed up - you use the Foxicat that you currently own. In the example above, I have Hawky<3's Foxicat under the section for mine.
2. This form does not say who is giving whom the TM.

Step 2

Your trading partner must quote the form and confirm. Now, this part is very important. You may NOT quote your partner quoting you; it would be very easy to fake this way. I trust you guys, but there's almost always that one jerkface who tries to cheat and ruins it for everyone, so I'm trying to close the loophole before it can be exploited.

There's no form for confirming or denying as long as you make your intentions clear.

Well, as you may have noticed, in these examples, I made it appear as though Hawky<3 had made a quote confirming my post, when in actuality, she had not. All I needed was basic BBCode knowledge. Like I said, I trust you guys, but there's always that one jerkface.

Step 3

Now all that's left is for me, Rabid_Jaguar, to confirm any Foxicat trades, and for me or Hawky<3 to confirm TM trades. Please do not use the image of another person's Foxicat until your trade has been officially approved. Only I can approve trades, which I know sounds strict, but it makes it easier for everyone; I also run the archives, so if other people, even staff members, go around confirming trades willy-nilly, it'll be a lot harder for me to keep up and may cause confusion and arguing.

I apologize for the gigantic wall of text you have to read just to make a trade, but I really want things to run smoothly. c:

Step 1

Step 2

Again, the recipient just needs to confirm it c: Someone may need to give them a nudge if they don't check the trading thread often, but there's no form for this part.

Step 3

Once again, you need to wait for your Foxicat and TM trades to be confirmed. I know it's hard to have a gift but not be able to use it yet, but I need to be able to keep up with the exchanges so that the archives can be accurate and up-to-date.

FAQs

Q: If I gift someone a Foxicat, do I also have to gift them TM?
A: No, just put "none" in the TM space, or delete it entirely.

Q: If I gift someone TM, do I also have to gift them a Foxicat?
A: No, just put "N/A" or a -, or just delete the question entirely.

Q: Can I post a gift form for "whoever claims it first?"
A: No. If you want to do something like that, post it on the fanclub first, and then fill out the form over here after someone has claimed the gift. (The exception to this is new Foxicats; if an artist puts a FCFS up in the fanclub of a new Foxicat, it does not count as a gift but as an adoption and does not need to be posted here.)

Q: Can I reject a gift?
A: Of course - but you might make your gifter sad!

Q: Can I post breeding advertisements here?
A: No, breeding should be discussed over PM or on the fanclub.

Q: Can I trade multiple Foxicats for one, or vice versa? What would that look like?
A: Yes, you may. It would look like this:

Q: How do I know my Foxicat's rarity?
A: It should be under your Foxicat's spot in the archives. If it's not, PM me.

Q: Can I just describe the Foxicat instead of getting an image link?
A: No, sorry. Using images avoids confusion; this way no one thinks that they're getting a different Foxicat than they actually are.

Q: How do I get my Foxicat's image?
A: Go to the archive and find your area. (The archives are alphabetical, it should be easy to find. If your name is not where it should be, it may still be under an old username, or I may have made a mistake. Please PM me if this happens.) Your area will have all of your Foxicats. Right-click on the one that you want the image for. Click on the option that says something along the lines of "Copy Image Link" or "Copy Image Address." Then, paste the image address into the proper area on the form and surround it with [img]*[/img]. (The image address should replace the asterisk.)

Q: Is there item trading?
A: Not at the moment, but it's a possibility in the future.
