Wind Reapers are a species of dragon that inhabit high ground, most
commonly seen on mountain peaks. Their long, thin body allows them to
maneuver steep slopes and jagged cliffs with ease. With their strong back
legs, they can easily climb trees and make amazing leaps. Although they
are unable to fly, their light body weight allows them to glide, with help
from their high jumps and long tails. Their tails are very flexible, helping
them climb and glide.
Despite their appearance, most Reapers are relatively timid and shy. They
are loners, however occasionally enjoy a friends company. They mate for
life due to their lack of trust for others, and can live for up to 30 years.

The community is based around rewarding owners for roleplaying, artwork,
writing, and participating in the Cliff Racing event. Through these
activities, you can earn various vouchers to for MYOs, Breeding and
For traits to be added to your already existing Wind Reaper.

CLIFF RACING EVENTS

New with V.3 Wind Reapers are notoriously fast at climbing cliffsides, and that has grown into a small racing event within the community. Reapers can train to increase their Speed boosts, and earn unique rewards for their trainers and owners such as: MYO Slots, Breeding Perks, Trait add-ons, and more. To join, you must first own a Wind Reaper.

HOW THEY WORK - - - - - - - - - -

Entering the Race: To enter, first you must own a Wind Reaper. You can easily adopt on from this main page! Next, you will need to visit the Cliff Racing Thread and register your Reapers for the race.

Race Qualifiers: Once the deadline has passed, we will roll a 100-sided die for each reaper. From there, the reapers in the top 10% will have qualified for the final race.

Selecting a Winner: the qualifying Reapers will all be rolled for with a die with a number of sides determined by the number of reapers in the race (8 qualified reapers = 8 sided die). Each reaper will have a roll that determines their placement in the race. If there are ties during this process, a 10-sided die is rolled and whichever reaper has the highest number will receive the placement they tied for, while the other will get the placement after them.

Winners Announced: The Results of the race will be announced in the Cliff Racing Thread, and when that post is made registration for the next race begins immediately. Winners will be able to add their prizes to their banks/storage pages but must link to the race results as proof of winnings.

CLIFF RACING RULES

Like any event, there are a few rules that everyone should follow when participating in the Cliff Races. We expect everyone to follow these rules, because they are here to ensure that we have fun! Cliff racing is new with Version Three of the Wind Reapers, so if you've had one in the past this might be something you'd notice is different. We also ask that you remember this is optional, and doesn't require participation if you own a Wind Reaper.

Rules of Participation

> Wind Reapers you enter must belong to you.
> There are no limits to the number of Wind Reapers you can enter.
> Each Wind Reaper can enter a total of 10 Races before they are considered retired.
> Wind Reaper Race Placement is completely Randomly Generated.
> Speed Points are gained through training or passed down through breeding.
> Sponsored Prizes are prizes donated by the community and are not always the same with each race.
> Speed boosts are only used during the Qualifiers, not the actual race itself.
> Speed boosts are meant to get your reaper into more races for faster race results.
> You are not allowed to whine or complain to the Racing Team about the results.
> Do not reach out to Racing Staff about the results, as it is completely random.
> Make sure to fill out the form completely and accurately to ensure your Reaper is entered into the race.
> If your Reaper was not entered into the race, this is the only time you can reach out to Staff for answers.
> If your Reaper was missed during the race, you will automatically qualify for the next race.

Rules

• Check general rules here.
• Races are run weekly and results are released on Saturday around 18:00 CS time.
• You can enter until you see a "Stop" sign (that will always be after 18:00 CS time). This means we are rolling the results. Any entry after this point is invalid for the week and will be counted for the next race.
• You can edit you post until the deadline. This rule may change if there are a lot of participants.
• After results are posted, you can submit your form for the next race.
• Make sure to insert a proof for ALL the speed points of you Reaper. If we won't be able to easily see a proof we won't take into account that speed point.
• Make sure to insert the correct adoption link. We have to make sure you really own the Wind Reaper.
• All rules can change anytime. Check them often.
• If you have any question, don't be afraid to ask!

FAQ

Why speed points are useful?
They will be added to your score during qualification and will make it easier to take part in the actual race.

How can I get speed points?
There are a lot of ways to get speed points! Check the training section of the main thread.

My Reaper already entered 10 races. Is there a way they can compete again?
No, but there a lot of other things you can do with your Reaper. Check the roleplay and breeding sections.

I filled out the form, but my Reaper isn’t in the results. Why?
There are two possibilities: there might have been some missing information or we forgot to roll you. If you think your form is complete, reach out to me or a mod. If it was our fault you will be automatically qualified for the next race.
