the beloved trio make their way across the city outskirts,
dodging bits of rubble and trash that seems to have made
a permanent home on the fringes of the city, collapsing
and crumbling to a fine sheen of dust. the wind picks up
a little, causing Khamari, Skriddle and Pip to shiver in turn.

as they make their way over bits of rubbish, eager to get
out of the abandoned city, Khamari sharply stops, causing
the other two to look at her in confusion. ever the most
alert werm of the three, she is definitely the rightful
leader of the group, squinting her eyes into the distance
as she tries to make out what the blurry, shadowy shape is.

as the shadow gets closer, it materialises into a fluffy-looking
werm with bright, red eyes. Khamari eyes it warily, looking
for a catch - another rogue werm perhaps? she is about to
warn the others to back off, when Skriddle cocks his head to
the side, and the trio turn back to see the werm is transfixed
with Skriddle's lantern, the orangey flame echoing in the rogue
werm's eyes. Skriddle lets out a squeak and slowly treads forth
to show the werm the lantern. a series of squeaks emit from
the two, before Skriddle turns back and shouts, "They want to
come with us! They said they know the best way to the
abandoned lab - that's our next destination, isn't it?"
