Even Maggie didn't escape the pokes and prods, giving blood and stem cells to her ailing sister, none of which she minded.

xxxxThis lasted a long four years, ending in her sister's passing. Her parents became more distant as they mourned. Maggie discovered she could now live the life of a rebellious teenager, not having anyone at home to tell her this was unacceptable. She was nearly kicked out of school before she realized she needed to turn her life around. By eighteen, she'd put herself back together again and began her path to becoming an elementary school teacher, able to relive her childhood through those she taught.
