Charis and Grace met two years ago, when the humans left the door open. She was hopping around the entryway or living room. He convinced her to leave, and that's how she escaped. They lived together as friends, then his parents passed. She comforted and supported him. Then they fell in love and recently had their quadruplets.

Yeah, that's fine. You could either make a note that she just has less white then the ref picture, or we could say it comes from a grandparent or great grandparent or something. Oh, and be careful...images may get removed.
