30 years after One Piece ended, another generation rose up and took to the seas, in search of the legendary treasure, once again lost to the Grand Line. Sons and daughters, descendants of the original men and women of the Great Pirate Era, and things are more intense than ever.
MECHANICS
Devilfruits: Devilfruits are fruits of three types, Paramecia, Zoan, and Logia. Each have different abilities. Such are as follows:
Paramecia— This type of fruit offers the user the abilities to adapt their own body in specific ways. Anything physical to the human body.
Zoan— This type gives the user the ability to take on traits of an animal, almost like shapeshifting. Such as full or partial (partial usually done with great time spent training) transformation into the animal their fruit gives them.
Logia— This type gives the user elemental abilities, usually specific to one. Fire. Water. Earth. Air. The usual, plus some lesser known types.
SMILE— A SMILE fruit is an artificial Zoan fruit. Only 1 in 10 on average give their user powers. As well as the usual Devilfruit drawbacks, these people also lose the ability to express negative emotion (laughing instead of/during crying, grinning and laughing when upset instead of being able to communicate it properly) even if their fruit is unsuccessful.
Downsides? After consuming a Devilfruit, while a user gets wonderful powers, they can only take one Devilfruit, and after that, they’ll never be able to swim. Their effects can be countered by water and by what’s known as Seastone, which has very much the same effect. In water deeper than their knees, a Devilfruit user will sink like a rock.

R U L E S
Be nice to other players! This means no shaming, no being rude, and absolutely NO fighting in OOC. Bring problems to me and we'll have a group chat to talk things out and reach a compromise.
All CS rules apply at all times.
Romance is allowed and encouraged, but remember that this is a plot driven RP.
LGBTQ+ friendly!
Sign up as many characters as you like, but make sure to post actively. If someone doesn’t approach your character, start an interaction. If a character is being reposted doing the same thing (specifically not in interaction) or absent from the RP for more than a month, they’ll be assumed to have magically disappeared somehow, and be removed from the RP.
High ranks MUST be active!
Brings any questions/comments to me in PM or via the chat, and please only use the chat for RP talk.
NOTHING but reservations, forms, and acceptance from a mod should go in the RP sign-ups thread. I don’t want to have to search 30+ pages to find 10 characters.
Bring all plot ideas to me before putting them into play. I’d love to hear them!
No seriously injuring/killing another person's character without their permission.
No "perfect" characters. Everyone has weaknesses and flaws.
As this is a next generation RP, each original character may have up to 3 descendants. It goes without saying that regardless of if these are full or half siblings, there is to be NO romance between them!
Canon characters may show up on occasion, but will be played by me when they need to, as they are not a main focus.
Try to branch out when it comes to Devilfruits. Try to make something new up!
Feel free to claim whatever high ranks you wish, there’s no chosen-in-RP for this story!
A character must be 16+ to join the Marines.
30 is the maximum age at this point in time for characters, minus Admirals, Fleet Admiral, Bounty Hunters, and Civilians who are not descendants.
Please post a minimum of 2 lines. RP partners need SOMETHING to go off of. And try not to be repetitive if at all possible, unless a situation directly calls for it.
Rules are subject to change.
Interaction with more than one character is required, and if it’s not happeni
NO godmodding or powerplaying.
For Devilfruit-using characters, please please PLEASE abide by the weaknesses (usually just water and Seastone, but it depends.) of the fruit!
We will use the 3 strikes system. If rules are broken, the first time, you get a warning. The second time, a 3 day ban, the third time, a ban from the RP.
One Piece is a pretty wide world. Your character can be of almost any race/species!
There is not a hard limit on how many Devilfruit user characters you may play, but keep in mind that Devilfruit are considered quite rare in the world of One Piece.
Reservations last a week.
Please enter all the info on the form, minus the ones where ~ is optional, and feel free to add anything you like, if you wish more detail.

Please don’t play your own crush/lover either, that’s not how interaction works. Past crushes are fine.
If you won't be on for more than a couple weeks, let a mod know.
If an RP partner has been away for more than a few days (for me I tend to say 4-5, but it varies person to person), please move your character along to a new interaction.
If you have read and agreed to these rules, put the thumbs-up in your form! ^_^
