Amberstorm was born outside the clan. His father, Thistleshade, had matted with a loner, Phoebe,
in secret from the clan. Unfortunately she had died due to complications during the birth and left
the care of her only live kit to Thistleshade. Completely heartbroken on what to do he went to the
only cat her could trust, his older sister Dewshine, who was about to have a little of her own any
time now. His sister, though not happy with him, accept Amberstorm as one of her own kits and
raised him with her mate, Rowanstep. Thus, the true heritage of Amberstorm was never brought
up again and stayed between the two of them. However, Thistleshade grew paranoid of the
medicine cat and suspect that he knew something, and in fear of Amberstorm's future
Thistleshade left the clan behind to live on his own.
Amberstorm grew up to be an easy going cat but have moments of giving into his emotions
on certain topics. He was picked on as a kit and young apprentice which drove him to push
himself and thus creating a reckless behavior and overdoing things. His mentor, Dawnrunner,
had scowled him countless time for his reckless behavior to a point she threaten to lengthen
his apprenticeship longer. Though he has better control over it and learned to be patient
moments to think and be observant of the situation, he still lapses into his reckless
behavior from time to time.
Now, after the battle to chase off the exile cats a second time Amberstorm is left with a heart full
of conflicted emotions. He happy with fight and defend his clan any time, but fighting his previous
clan mates has him filled with guilt and uneasy feeling. He knows in his heart that this battle
was wrong. He shouldn't have to be fighting old clan mates but his head tells him he did the right
thing in defending his clan form them. All of this confusion is causing a battle inside himself
and barely finds the energy to do anything anymore.
