At the age of three he wandered off from his parents' side during a visit to the doctor's office; it was then that he was taken by the people from the lab. Before being kidnapped, Jem lived as Piya Aromdee, the only son of two Thai authors. He does not remember this taking place as he suppressed the memory due to the trauma; however, his subconscious keeps trying to make him remember through nightmares of the incident. Jem is a relatively quiet person and usually looks like he's seconds away from crying; which isn't completely inaccurate since he sometimes really is. He is on the shyer side; tends to feel like he's a burden to the others since he's small and is always hesitant to use his abilities due to some of the experiments done him as well as it occasionally making him sick. Jem will sometimes goes days without sleeping and will sometimes have to be forced to eat something. Before the experimentation became more extreme, he was rarely seen without a smile but overtime his smile faded and he began to internalize everything happening to the group. While he is a very emotional person, Jem doesn't like to talk about his feelings typically because again he already feels like a physical burden and would rather not become an emotional one as well. He's obedient, well to a degree in regard to using his power, and extremely loyal to the group. 100% positively touch starved yet also afraid of giving and receiving affection. Very soft-spoken and never really puts up a fight when decisions are being made because he's more of a follower than a leader.

Number Four has been at Lab X for as long
as she can remember. She's the only one of
the subjects who was actually born there.
She was told that her mother sought them
out when she was pregnant because of the
unusual nature of her pregnancy - Number
Four's glitching powers, which ultimately
led to her death during childbirth. Little
does Four know that this was a complete
lie. In reality, Four was conceived by two
scientists at Lab X, but after giving birth
her mother refused to give her daughter
up and ended up paying with her life for
this act of rebellion. Number Four obtained
her powers through later experimentation.
She has the to teleport (aka to glitch) to
places she can see. When they were little
Cal would joke around that she's like a cat
landing on her feet because she had bad
aim and would glitch into the air, which is
where her name comes from. She detests
being called Four.
