Choosing Ali as a representative is hardly a sensible de-
cision from the pack's elders. She's only been a member
of the pack for a few months and a werewolf for maybe
a week longer than that. She's extremely inexperienced
and barely knows how to shift, but she has a dangerous
itch to go chasing thrills and possibly maul the first vam-
pire in sight. She has been conditioned to believe that
vampires are the beasts that pose a threat to all beings
with blood in their veins, and there's no guarantee that
she will be able to hold her tongue during the negotia-
tions or even make an effort to reestablish the treaty
when she would much rather get on with the hunt.

Ali isn't the most level-headed person: She's young, naive, and excitable.
She doesn't yet understand the true repercussions of a falling-out with
the vampires, and her thinking tends to be quite black and white ─ were-
wolves good, vampires evil. She may not have known the werewolf who
was killed well, but merely being a werewolf has given her a deep sense
of protectiveness over her packmates, and she will jump at the chance
to battle any threat ─ real or imagined. Ali's determined, but that deter-
mination is often mistakenly aimed at whatever is right in front of her,
rather than any sensible long-term goal. She's not the best at thinking
her own actions through, being prone to acting on impulse. She is hardly
aggressive per se, usually acting in a rather carefree and amiable way,
but she can be quick to argue, just as she is quick to jump into any
course of action.

Ali is half-Dutch by origin and grew up in the Netherlands. Her parents
met when her mother, an American werewolf, moved to the Netherlands
to distance herself from her pack and the constant conflict said pack was
enmeshed in. Ali's mother never found it necessary to hide her nature
from her own family, especially as it remained a possibility that Ali may
have been a werewolf despite her human father. The older Ali got, the
more it seemed that the werewolf gene had been made obsolete in her.
When Ali was already an adult, her mother received news from the US
that her birth pack had decimated the resilient group of nomads that had
caused havoc in the area for generations. Her pack missed her and Ali's
mother began feeling the pull back to her original hunting grounds. They
chose to move, but a few weeks after setting foot on American soil, Ali
was struck down by a fever. She was a werewolf after all, but her moth-
er's pack, believing her to be too weak to survive a month due to her hu-
man father and lack of childhood training, rejected her. Ali was taken in
by another pack, one with a supposed treaty, only to become entangled
in a conflict with vampires — the creatures that had always been the vil-
lains in her mother's stories.

Ali's wolf is slender in her proportions but clearly just as well built as any
other werewolf. The base colour of her pelt is a cold white, but due to
Ali's tendency to dye her hair, it is covered in smudges of her natural
black, which creates the illusion of a constantly dirty pelt. There's also
warmer blonde on the pelt, primary on the wolf's forehead, ears, shoul-
ders, and tail. Her eyes are greenish yellow ─ a muted chartreuse.
